<"Leave me alone. I'm done with all this. The winds, the fights, the stress... I'm just done."> That's all you get from Abez. <Understandable Captain. Come back to us and we'll teleport you home immediately. Where are you now?>

"Nah. I'm out."
No matter the prodding? He doesn't seem keen on listening.

"Is there any way to tell if he's been mentally influenced?" says Pallia as a look of concern washes over her ashen face. "Seems strange to just suddenly want to stay... here."

Laakh latches onto this new phenomenon of mental control over one of his oldest contacts, a fellow street scum who somehow found himself captain of a psionic-helmed craft. Reviewing options, he decides on a combo he's never tried before:
OOC Bob: will Life Detection work through Clairvoyance?

"Is there any way to tell if he's been mentally influenced?" says Pallia as a look of concern washes over her ashen face. "Seems strange to just suddenly want to stay... here." "YES! This reminds me of the games the telepath students played on others back at the Cerebrum! Cap's in trouble and I'm going after him! Everyone jump on! Kri-kcht, point me in the right direction. He couldn't have gotten far..."Pack in hand, HurK turns into his gigantic sand colored eagle form, crouches for passengers, then bolts off in the direction Kri-kcht gave of Abez's tracks at a 100' altitude. [-32 PsP's]

"Safest option" looking uneasily out into the wastes. To AirHurK:
"Big slow arcs, bank so we can keep eyes above and below."
Laakh uses the eye tattooed on the back of his head to open all the eyes. When we get to cruising altitude: All Round Vision: Score 17, roll 19. Fine get the bad roll out of the way early. -6 PSPs.
So next attempt will be 1 round after we reach altitude. Bob: any bonus with silt goggles up in the Burning Skies of Dark Sun?

Life detection through Clairvoyance? Seems legit to me if you make your rolls and drop the PSPs.
But to be honest?
Following tracks and the like and via the air, you see he's only gotten as far as halfway to the unnamed walled village.
About 5 miles from the edge of the giant gorge.

So current visual shows his tracks stopping in mid-sand? Life Detection score 16 you roll, Power Manip score 14, rolled 12.

Nah, what I'm saying is that you get visual on Abez proper once in the air.
There is still only one pair of tracks.
Life detection reveals nothing other than him within your range.
He doesn't face you, he's just walking at a steady pace towards the walled community.

Eagle HurK comes in out of the sun and gentle scoops up the captain in his massive left claw. The milisecond he makes physical contact he initiates his tower of iron will mental defense that also encompasses Abez and the crew.
[Tower of iron will 20, rolled 5]

Well, you get Abez in claw...
...and he slumps.
Laahk sees him tearing up as his eyes shut.

As Mak hits Abez with his spell in mid-air, Hurk gets a mental summons from Shardivan.
