(The group is happy with the current plan/heading.)

The going is slower as you all walk, sans Scorp or Bird-Hurk.
It's about mid-day when you finally put the edge of the gorge behind you. You can still see (and thus feel) it's enormity. You're a long way from home.
The shimmering heat is intense, the biting wind even wickeder somehow, it seems to have taken a more direct eastern push today.
Luckily the white sands have little to encounter, you just hope that you aren't being tailed by Nibenay's host or an invisible assassin on a bat.
You quickly break for lunch.

Hunkered HurK keeps a watchful eye on their rear 180 degrees.

Just keeping mind open to watchers and inspecting everyone's web wrappings, keeping everyone patched up.

(OoC: Bob, for bookkeeping purposes, how many days are we at for learning spells?)

One evening has passed since dissection.
Immolation; cremation was morning.
'Tis now lunch.
You can have rolled for one spell at this point and have transferred it into your own personal spellbook (and already have disposed of that piece if you wish).
There are flyers about. A bit higher than earlier in the day, they are headed due east. Some mountains look to be in the distance in that direction as well. Kri-kcht remembers similar mounts but larger in his travels to the buried city from Spoil.

Mak will prepare a Fortifying Stew (Lv.2) and Create Water (Lv.1) to provide for the parties daily needs. ((Everyone gains 2 temp hp for 2 hours))
"I suggest we make use of faster transportation now that we are clearly away from our enemies. Though, given that they will likely be using divination magic against us maybe it's best if we stay on foot? Thoughts?"

"Foot, DEFINITELY FOOT!" Says Hurk as he continues to look in the direction they came from.
HurK begrudgingly guzzles down the water but passes on the stew with a slight look of disdain and pulls out some salted Mekillot jerky.

Laakh asks Mak and Kri- kcht more about the fliers of this region. "keep your open for those big bats. What else could be around to perhaps train? Losing the cilops was a big deal, but better off without one of those under the leash of Ol' Nibs. maybe we find a wild one, start from scratch..."

- Kem nods - You never know what we can find in these places but it is what it is right and I'm happy to follow those who know better the ways of transport

You continue on on foot. This is distinctly slower. It also makes Kri-kcht uneasy. He also thinks there's grasses further east from here and might be close to where they were spooked by wild crodlu once... there were talks of an oasis that were avoided back then as well.
But you stubbornly continue to the NE. By evening? The glowing white sands stand behind you in the dark. Given the terrain ahead? Looks to be the beginnings of salt flat...
...which the kreen never saw when he traveled here last.
End of the day?

Hurk calls to head due east, perhaps to get Kri-kcht more in line with his earlier travels.
So you head east after lunch. About 4 hours pass of walking. The white sands give away to tough scrub, grass and wind bent trees. Most of the occasional trees are stripped of leaves, the mark of animal life. Some patches of cacti become apparent as well. These are more barrel shaped, however middling thinner trunked varieties are seen too.
The flyers are lower now. Sixteen Kes’trekel can be seen above. The red & black vulture-like things circle lazily twice before heading east ahead of you... they seem to fly in pairs or fours, lacking a solid pattern though.
It's finally getting quieter, wind-wise. It still howls, but normal conversation is possible without yelling.
Kri-kcht sees evidence of traffic upon the ground. First, game trails through the grasses. But soon? He sees tracks as of wheels in the dry dirt. They head east and slightly to the north. The mountains are solid, ancient and tall before you in the distance. The land might begin to climb to hill, but as the sun sets behind you? Details are not easily seen. There is a faint glow of the odd, white sands in the distance behind you.
End of the day?

Crouching over the tracks "These looks like the sail carts you took before, Kri?" HurK asks the kreen, then stands and looks around "let's find a safer, defendable area to camp, away from prying eyes should anyone use this road."

- Yes, I agree, and then I'll see if I can manage some camouflage, although I never used it much - Kem relates to HurK, as she moves a lock of her hair around the ear - Sorry if I'm not very talkative but we didn't have much time to have a break with all these matters going on.

Once we find a suitable & somewhat hidden from the road campsite, proposed night watch order:
1) Mak Kem Laakh Kri-kcht
2) Abez Yiska Pallia Kri-kcht
3) Kleys HurK Kri-kcht
