There is no noise, nor traps detected. You open the stuck door revealing a shabby bedroom. A portrait of two men, similar in visage leer side-by-side on the north-west wall opposite you... painted upon a single massive sheet of pyrite, giving it the appearance of two souls stuck within a mirror. The bed is to the right and across from the door and a set of chairs surround a table that matches the room that you defeated the slithering creature next door.
Your bright light causes you to notice a trio of man-sized shadows racing from the edges of the room to your feet...
Kem, Attilius and Pallia need to save vs breath weapons at a +2.
***
Meanwhile, Kleys' new companion remarks, "Hmm. Shame my lab is too small if you do succeed in winning your end of the bet, elf. I wish we had some more room and suitable accommodations..."
And with that the room begins to change, growing larger to the east, the ceiling raising slightly (perhaps to accommodate a goliath or two? Or is it lowering?). The table grows longer. Extra stone chairs appear. His equipment rearranges and food and drink float about - eventually settling on the now cleared tabletop. The throne even moves a bit. A chandelier of lit candles also appears out of the ether. Small dust devils clear detritus, cobwebs and the rest from the chamber.
Either this is illusion or reality breaking. Either way?
"Help yourself." He positions himself to the head of the table as he snaps his fingers. The crystal ball hovers before him as he continues to watch your friend's plight.

Mak quickly chants a spell of divination, targeting the shadow on the right, then draws Odrela's Gladius.
((Analyze Opponent, 1st Lv, Priest Spell Compendium, 80 yard range, save vs spell or Mak learns 4 different strengths/weaknesses of the target.))
((Bob, Mak was focusing on his detect magic last round, anything in the room description glow as magical?))
((Mak 42/42hp, AC 6, Detect Magic 2/10, Spells Remaining: 1st: 2/6 2nd: 4/5 3rd: 3/5 4th: 0/3))

Pallia is quick on her feet as the shadows close in. She twists away and raises one hand in a fist, then opens it. A beam of pure red sunlight lances out and into the flitting darkness.
(Save vs. breath weapon: Natural 20) (Gate element doesn't require the presence of sun, as it's bringing sun to us. 1 yard wide beam of sunlight inflicts 20 damage, save for half.)

Luckily for you?
You have a sun priestess about.
For two of the three shades were starting to coalesce into mirror copies of the Kem and Attilius. The beam of pure reddish sunlight brightens the room orders of magnitude greater than that of your light stones. The three things simply shriek as they dissolve into nothingness.
You have once again set a bed aflame.
***
"If you fail to win the bet, fine elf? First thing will be to find me two new beds." Tsk-tsk's the undead warlock with a matching snicker as he looks into his crystal.
(Maps once I have time. Might not be right away - my apologies.)

You have once again set a bed aflame. "WHOA! what was THAT whitey!" Attilus then walks over to the part of the bed that has begun to flame and pours one of his water skins on it

Mak will take a moment to focus on his detect magic, scanning the room.

Pallia brings her hand back down and says, "Behold the power of the sun."
"Shadow cannot abide the power of its light."

"If you fail to win the bet, fine elf? First thing will be to find me two new beds." Tsk-tsk's the undead warlock with a matching snicker as he looks into his crystal. (A long suffering, heavy sigh from Kleys at the party's 'antics'....) "Why remake beds if no one is to sleep in them?

Nothing in the room detects magical emissions (outside of the weak enchantments about the walls and floors of the very place, which have been detectable from the start). The pyrite pane with the painting? Amazingly not magical. The waterskin does little to calm the flames on the bed; black dusty smoke emits from the small blaze. You have one more room/door that you *know* of on this floor that has not been investigated. *** Kleys only gets another dry laugh in response. "What fun would a place be if there was no where to poke about unwanted? And would you not agree it's easier to justify morbid consequences when one's home is violated, eh? Lucky for you that your friend was wise enough to gain my permission. Part of a home is furnishings, possessions & memory. To remove these things? You remove the very definition of a home - it would be a husk, a shell, a skeleton with nothing worth defending." Updated map below: darksunsouthtablelands.obsidianportal.com/maps/128466

The giant quickly drops his weapon and massive shield so that he can separate/rip/smash/break the bed apart into 2 piles: the burning and that which has not caught fire yet.

"Fair enough.
What did you and your brother do, before you ran places like this? What did your creations do, other than destroy in general?"
