The one smaller grey walker held a large bone club. Looks to have been scavenged from the newer Celikites unless these undead are "younger" dead.

The one Vis re-killed carries a stone axe (single blade) and the one the cats pounced has a pair of heartpicks. Hmm. You haven't seen any tarek about.

That one also has a worn jade ring on one finger. It is so tightly bound to the finger that you'd have to cut off the digit to retrieve it.

The rest of the caravan is beginning to fan out protectively while a spare wheel is being drug out of the stores. As you are scrounging the dead, there are others doing the same to another six bodies. The numbers seem split to the talls versus shorts.

Ibubesi takes the axe, chops off the ring/finger and lifts up the ring with s clean scrap of cloth. "The forest will tell me all i need know about this."

Calidane takes the opportunity to examine one of the gray walkers more closely, checking the wounds to see how they bleed. Are they actually undead? Or is the blood still fresh like a living creature?

The ring does not detect as magic. But it's still jade and thick.

The blood, where there is any at all, is thick and dark. Tar-like and non-flowing. You believe them to truly be undead as the internal organs are impossible to see as having any current function (think like the rotting fish parts in a barrel to make fish sauce or garum - having little resemblance to their prior functions in life). They smell of rot, but not of a fresher kill.

Minimum time mention before for indentured servitude was 1 year. But no one has asked a House member for terms, benefits, etc... of varying service.
