- Valmera follows the rest of the group, paying closer attention to the structural making of the buildings and that material that holds the blocks together - 'Somekind of clay? It's amazing..' - She mutters to herself as she pass her hand along it, to feel it briefly before moving away. As she looks the soft metals in the hinges, she will try to salvage some of them - This might be useful, but at least interesting by itself - Valmera smiles and puts some pieces of these lead and bronze alloys in her, somehow messy, backpack. If any piece has a rough and/or sharp edge, Valmera will fit it in the way to avoid any damage to any of her initial equipment.
Her sight turns to the building but all the sudden returns to the front when that noises arise, that howling, and sees how Quila stops in front of a closed door - Can I try? - and as if trying to hear something, she shrugs her shoulders and looks at the door for any signs of how is locked

Quila peels her face from the front door and looks at Ibubesi and whispers "I hear a faint scratching or something from the other side of the door. Something **is** there."
Quila makes room for Valmera when she approaches. She steps back from the door and moves next to Ibubesi before continuing "Maybe we ought to enter the building from the rear, as a group. Or do you think we should just go for it on the streetside?" Looking at the kirre's a tad anxiously she then asks "Shouldn't we give your pretties the chance to eat soon too?"
(Bob: did my education include anything at all on Celik's fate during the Green Age/Time of Magic or what has happened here? I mean specifically my Wisdom of the Drylanders ability. I've rolled 12 vs 18 for that on Local History. I've also rolled for my Ancient History7 vs 13.)

"Maybe we ought to enter the building from the rear, as a group. Or do you think we should just go for it on the streetside?" "Yes, we should rejoin Hawkings. This door is too exposed to the street for my liking." He whispers down "Soon; kill well, feast well, my pretties."

I was posting for the rear door. The front is much the same though. If listened to, the same results apply.
As far as ancient history? Celik was once the breadbasket of the ancient world. However, it fell to multiple (some say seven) cataclysms over it's long history. In Kurn, it was debated among scholars that some of the tragedies may have been the same event... just mistakes in the telling. The city was never taken in battle though, so there is a phrase spoke that amounts to, "Useful as Celik's walls." Meaning that all things will pass.
So long are the ruin's history that there are most likely layers upon layers to Celik's decay, much like a dry rotten onion. If the rumors of Under-Tyr are true, it would be assumed that such things exist here as well.

This door is too exposed to the street for my liking." "I agree let's go back to the courtyard and enter from the rear door. Maybe we can get someone to force that entryway." Quila walks back to the courtyard and takes a defensible position that still has a view to the door and takes her bow out again and knocks and arrow and is ready for action.

(Per Alex's request, I'll roll an Open Doors for Mad Mokka: d20 = 3 vs. 12, success!)
