Quila looks around to see if there is any easy way to get to a rooftop. Either here in this warehouse or the first. I can throw up a rope to Baxby to help me get up there. While Quila unpacks a rope she sees dark clouds forming in the west. [OOC: do they form outside of the side or near the towers?] Huffing and stretching clambering up the wall of the first noose warehouse she then sees a gathering of the kes'trekel birds they chased away with some others that flew up when she went into the old city first. They indeed seem to come their way again but now as a greater flock. "Oh that is definitely not good so many birds together," Quila mutters and decides against further scaling the wall and standing on a roof. The scattering of Baxby down the walls proves that would be a wise decision indeed. "I am going inside and make sure the birds cannot attack us from above. Let the growling beast come while we can surround it. Maybe try and subdue or capture it, no? Earning some scrip would be nice. I can try and make the creature feel as if it is crippled, even if we just strike on minor blow to it. It will be out for some time afterwards while we can secure it with rope." Quila slips inside of the first warehouse and takes up position some 30 feet inside behind one of the rope-making contraptions where there is still a line of sight to the door for attacks and psionics. She puts away her short bow and straps on a tortoise blade. [OOC: edited in later - Bob, is there any way to tell what race those bodies are from? Obviously half-giant, thri-kreen, halfling or pterran would be quite obvious, but maybe others no so much (anymore)?] [Bob: did you see this one from before in the second warehouse with the bodies?]

"Maybe everyone into the building, yes?"
(Ibubesi runs into the '1st' warehouse.)
"Ral, Guthay, come - NOW!"

- Valmera climbs down and moves towards another nearby building, looking to camouflage herself within the structure and the rubble, using old remains, debris and scattered organic rests to camouflage herself in all possible senses. Her mind shuffles like a sandstorm with the thought of combat, keeping silent and calmed down as much as she can.
[OOC: Hide in shadows (35%), rolled a 60]

Mokka follows Ibubesi and the cats to the Noose warehouse, whistling to the roof crew to do the same. He eyes the flock above and tries to guage how much time till the flock reaches the roof. He sheathes dagger and has one hand free to pull out shortbow if needed.

The halfling shuts the smelly building's door then hustles to the first building with the others.

I'm sorry, I thought I had answered that the undead bodies were probably human. Very dessicated, but likely Men and Women.
The clouds seem to be coming down from around the Ringing Mountains. The wind is starting to slowly pick up. The thrum of the ruins builds pressure behind your ears as you get behind the doors of the first warehouse safely...
Just in time too. Howls get closer, most likely more than one of the beasts crested the riverbed and into the city proper. The kirre raw-roar in response.
A few moments later? You hear ragged scratching at the door...
You fear that they might start ramming it shortly.
Valmera hides outside and next to the building you haven't explored yet (closet to the gates). She can see three dusty lizard-like beasts - one with a white tone to the scales. Multiple eyes are seen on oversized heads, with worn yellowed tusks. They're about the size of large mastiffs. They continue to howl back and forth and make a general mess of the pitchers that once lay stacked to the sides.

"Help me move this contraption up against the door before those creature get in here and I have to save all of you!" Hawkings grunts as he attempts to drag/pull/push the large machine and/or anything not bolted to the floor towards the door.

“Guvs not to be pissing like a mekillot on your efforts, but there’s three doors leading into here and some windows too.” Quila shifts uneasily, looking at the window sills.
(OOC: Bob, can anything enter through there? Or can we look outside at those creatures? I do so, but am very careful, reminded by the petrified agents in the streets)
“Maybe we can take the action to them and scare them off? Right now, they are destroying our plans to use the clay pitchers to haul water out of here.”

"Being ripped to shreds in the courtyard will also ruin our plans..."
Make a semi-circle in the center of the room. If the beasts come in, we can maximize our friend to foe ratio."

The windows here are vents towards the ceiling. There is one other door - at the front. Nothing scratches there (yet).
The machines are extremely heavy... unless you wish to break them up, we'll need at least a pair of you to make strength checks.

[Quila rolled a 16, Str 12. Fail.][Then again: my heart wasn't in this approach anyway, dice never lie]
While Quila is sputtering with the machinery she listens to the scratching at the door. [OOC: Bob, do I get a feeling there are a couple of them out there still? How many?]
[If there are a few out there I do a somatic concealment whilst standing around guffawing around the weird machines and I cast an Entangle spell - a 40 ft cube behind the door. I fail the somatic concealment check, rolling 18 vs 15. So it's quite obvious I'm whispering to the roots underneath the street/courtyard (not sure if my cube reaches the street too) and lift my arms up calling them to rise up against the beasts.]

Moktli pauses while bracing the doors, nervously watching Quila start some kind of sorcery about roots and vines. Hearing Ibubesi, he barks over his shoulder:
"Yah circle up, watch the other door!"
As soon as Quila is done with her whispering, he will hold his axes outstretched, blades forward, and slowly guide her and Hawkings back to the group forming a circle in the middle, positioning himself facing the scratching beasts. To the group:
"Anyone know what them things do in a fight besides that fekked howling?"
