The trio of heavy headed lizard hound horrors crash against the door, forcing it open. The white one stands at the apex of the pack, flanked by two of tan color. Four feet long and the height of a mastiff... they sport eight eyes each. Twenty-four terrifying orbs stare into your eyes.
Anyone inside the building needs to make a save vs. paralyzation. I will roll for the cats and Baxby.
Valmera sees them from behind as she remains the only member of the group outside the House of Nooses. Not having to look the beasts in the eyes spares her from needing to make a save. She is within range for a melee attack if she wishes and will gain +2 to hit on her first rear attack.
From there? Intentions, initiative (1d10 plus weapon speeds if needed), attack rolls and potential damage.
If psychic combat is attempted, do not forget that two rolls are needed per mental attack and three tangents are needed if the foe is psychically active. The earliest three tangents can occur is on the 2nd round of mental combat - so keep that in mind as you plan your PSP usage.

Calidane is likewise paralyzed.
(Good thing we have backup characters, since it looks like the entire party is paralyzed.)

The cats and Baxby are unaffected by the gaze of the sand howlers.
Just waiting to hear from Quila and Valmera.

I will roll for the cats and Baxby. [OOC: Bob, in the previous thread my last action was casting an Entangle spell.Did that a) not happen yet? b) fizzle or otherwise produce no result of which I am not aware, c) they all made their saves, or d) you didn't take that into account yet?][Bob has since told me there was not enough vegetation for the Entangle to actually be cast and I could swap it with the Calm Animals freeing up my action again here for the first round] Quila chants and waves her arms in a placating soothing voice and motion "there is nothing for you here growlers" and casts a Calm Animals. She affects 6 HD. She says to her companions "do not hit the ones that doze off a bit, they are out of combat for now!" [Do any adjustments to saves count? You say the eyes are 'terrifying' which signals something right? Do the Wisdom adjustment or the psionicist save bonuses apply? Or the +1 of Ibubesi's Bless spell? Unadjusted I roll an 18 on my save] Quila shakes herself loose from the stomach curdling sets of eyes the growling lizard hound horrors possess. She looks around and sees some rigid looking companions and her heart sinks. Steeling herself she mutters "This is not how it is supposed to go my king, grant me the power to rebuke these terrors from the desert." [Initiative 1 - Quila uses Invincible Foes on the leader of the pack]

The kirre attack with lightning speed. The leader of the pack goes down amidst a flurry for claws and a solid horn swipe.
The rear one looks confused due to Quila's attempt to suppress it's animal instincts to fight.
Guthay takes a solid few gores, but does not look inconvenienced in any way whatsoever. Minor amounts of kirre blood is spilt.
The ballistic missile strikes solidly on the remaining fully cognizant sand howler.
Baxby misses any chance to work his way about the animal brawl.
They begin to try to retreat, the kirre allow them no respite and take additional attacks at their rear. (Failed morale. When a foe retreats a free back attack is granted.)
The two giant cats savage the two remaining lizard hounds in the courtyard. It looks like dinner won't be one of you this evening.
The kes'trekel circle above. There are at least thirty seen. Faint howls can be heard in the distance. Some howlers apparently did not make it this far. Those paralysed party members will be down for 2-4 minutes (rounds). By then, the buzzard-like kes'trekel will have started close, some perching on the other warehouses while the others remain near... perhaps not wanting to attack the giant felines.

When the paralysis wears off: "Good lovelies, good hunt." (Rubs the Kirres down)
"Is anyone experienced at butchering animals? The Forest abhors wasting a bounty like this - we should not leave all of it for the buzzards."

"The meat won't spoil for at least a day. Let's barricade inside and rest here and then we can return with the bounty tomorrow."

Seeing the howling beasts go down fast due to Ibubesi's kirre, Quila let's out a sigh of relief. "Good cats indeed" she says, looking at the beastmaster. While the rest of the party stands frozen for a bit longer, Quila calls for help to Baxby, Valmera and anyone not frozen to move the howler bodies inside of Noose warehouse #1. "Let's move these inside because we don't want the birds to pick them clean before we can sell them off. And be quick before they try and stop us," Quila instructs, starting with moving the white packleader inside first. I check to make sure they really are dead and there is no pulse remaining.
After more party members wake up, Quila asks around: "should we be worried if we rest out here about the grey coming at us tonight? or about the howlers becoming undead?"

- Valmera moves as she hears Quila calling her name. She looks to the fallen beasts and to what is remaining - No, I'm afraid I don't know that skills - answering about the skinning skill - I was looking for a back position to strike but these were too many to deal with if they decided to face me. And speaking about that... Why are not they moving? - She gets nearby the corpses of a sand howler to examine their body
