- Valmera follows to warehouse #2 - I'm good going to warehouse #2. If it was anything dangerous should have already show up or run away with the previous sounds of fighting

The halfling sneers and whispers through his teeth "By the dragons arsehole, You've just jinxed us woman!"

- I avoid combat and have I cursed you? - talking with some surprise - BoOo.. - in a ghostly way before smiling - I didn't jinx anyone but I can try to repair the broken clay pitches later on, although it might take me a little while.

Calidane finally snaps out of the unnatural fugue brought on by the sand howlers. He shakes a few times as if throwing sand off of his clothing.
"I'll go with you," he says to Valmera. "Since I'm not going to be sleeping in style in the old city, I need to find a place to set up camp out here. That means establishing a secure perimeter!"

- When you think it's appropriate because moving ahead without securing a place will make us end surrounded by more howlers or anything worst - Replies to Calidane

[OOC: Bob there's two questions of mine still on the previous page that pertain to the following, but I'll move ahead already a bit]
Quila trains her eyes on the kes'trekel flock landed on the other two warehouses. She is on high alertness for any trouble they might give the group. (nwp alertness, rolled 17 vs 18, success) She has her short bow ready, an arrow knocked. "Good idea master Mohktli," she whispers while keeping pace with the dwur in a defensive covering position for the group.
If we move out to warehouse 2, I make sure someone closes the door of warehouse 1.

(Before moving to W#2, Ibubesi will switch to his bow. If the Kesātrekels don't attack, its back to Shield & Spear in the warehouse. He'll try to keep the cats away from the birds...)

- Valmera will get ready a dart to fit in her bone blowgun, in case any other hidden surprises show up, closing the door behind if she's the last one

The hanging bodies may have once looked like the Greys, but these have a darker cast. Perhaps the constant sun from the hole in the roof has changed their appearance? You can attempt target practice. The threat still looms - a walk to the other warehouse might not be the wisest action to take. The hungry cats have savaged the trio of corpses beyond what you expected. It also takes time to butcher and try to skin the pelts. This keeps you in the current position for the better part of an hour. The kes'trekel still wait as you manage to get twenty pounds of usable meat and the equivalent of one and a half pelts in total. The horns, claws and the eyes may be taken as well - claws would be suitable as knives. The horns could be carved to drink from. The eyes are morbidly curious to look upon. The kirre start gnawing on leg bones. If left alone long enough, they will start grooming and perhaps nap. It has been a long time since their last proper hunt. FYI, most darts are more in the style of plumbata. Unless from a blowgun - those are more akin to needles even cacti spines. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plumbata

Quila frustratedly looses two arrows to one of the kes'trekel perched on warehouse 2 from her safe place in the doorway portal of warehouse 1. After shooting a salvo she steps back deeper inside to see what the birds do.
(thac0 rolls 14 and 15, hitting AC 4 and 5. each shot does 1 damage for 2 damage total.)

(We'll take the claws, horns, eyes, etc. No comment on XP?) If the kes'trekel neither fly off or swarm into the building, Ibubesi will also take potshots at them: AC 10 & 11, 3 dmg each - if they hit)

Moktli ponders, then:
"Gotta idea. Stop shooting...
Any of you know these birdies? Are they repectful of the mountain bird-men? I speak Aarac. Can try to scare' em off?"
