"Gotta idea. Stop shooting... Any of you know these birdies? Are they repectful of the mountain bird-men? I speak Aarac. Can try to scare' em off?" Quila lowers her bow and looks at the dwur. “As far as I know these kes’trekel aren’t intelligent enough animals to speak a language. But who knows. I have seen weirder things of late.”

"Aha Val, always the diplomat! Good thinking...Quila so they're not known to be smart...?" He stops talking and makes a shushing motion with his hand to the team. He slowly walks to a spot where he is out of sightlines to any birds. Once hidden, Still alert for more howlers, he waits a few beats and clears his throat softly, then cups his hands to his mouth:
Dirty Tricks proficiency; Rolled 10 vs. 11!
A piercing avian challenge-call -as from an Aaracocra war shaman- tears out from him in a rising series of shrieks that promise claws and wind and doom.

- Valmera looks to Calidane - It is always time to fight, so why not? - smiles to him whilst looking to Quila - I'm not sure but if he can speak an avian speech, we don't loose anything

“Well don’t let me stop you from trying. Go for it. But if that does not work" Quila manages to sputter out before Mohktli's bloodcurdling avian cry. She finishes her trail of thought in a whisper "what are our other options?”

- I'm not good with birds, but if it does not work, won't be either way so we should not be concerned about these spying on us, I guess. Maybe trying to secure the first house for the undead assault at night? - Replies to be polite woman

While none of the attacks kill a bird, a few attacks graze the scavengers. Or perhaps predators? Something is causing these animals to convene, either supernatural or otherwise.
I will assume all attacks are made within the threshold of the House of Nooses rear door... as any attempt to move outside will cause them to swoop at whomever attempts to leave.
The calls in aarokocra speak only seem to agitate them further. A few start to swoop towards the entrance (not quite entering, but testing the waters so-to-speak) in twos and threes.

"This can't go on like this. We either barricade the doors and decide to stay the night or we have to find other ways to deal with the birds." Quila uneasily says.
"One of these options is that me and maybe Ibubesi, if he has the same options to call on the elements, need to see if we can calm enough of the birds down so there's less willing to attack. But that only lasts for a short time. What do we want to do in this time available to us? Probably still a part of the flock left that will attack if we step outside." Quila sighs, pouts a bit, shifts her weight from one leg to another.
"Or another option is to make some of us undetectable to animals. Then two, or again if Ibubesi can help out, or maybe more, can go see if there is indeed water in warehouse 2, and maybe even check out warehouse 3."
Quila looks at Valmera and Calidane, "Knowledge is power. If there isn't anything worth fighting for in these warehouses except for the well in this first warehouse, then at least we know."
(Bob: Quila tries to remember if she knows any stories from the Kurnan library studying time about psionic ways to influence animals like this flock, do I know of any psionic devices, powers, anything from the NWP Ancient History - Green Age specialisation period - that can help me out? Rolled a 5 vs 13. Will also try my Chronicler Kit ability to see if I know anything about those poles with the balls on top. Only got 10% chance but here goes. Rolled 49% so no on that one)

You can barricade the door easily at this point. Heck, merely shutting it is fine. Looking above, the ventilation holes or windows seem too thin to allow any kes'trekel easy access. The only issue is the lack of light...
...and it gets worse. Those clouds mentioned earlier? Seem to be approaching the sun's apex. The wind picks up as well. Perhaps the birds will disperse if the weather turns hard enough.
Quila only recalls that occasionally mental artifacts can either repel or attract those either directly contracted - or form a general emotional or empathic field. Theories abound, but there's a saying that a portion of one's psyche, will, Ego or Id needs to be imbedded within such relics. And like any dispossessed mind?
They tend to go insane over periods of extreme isolation, magnifying minor idiosyncratic flaws and quirks hundred-fold or more.
Valmera finds that this building appears to be in decent enough shape, especially given the other warehouse's condition.
The giant cats rest.

Calidane, likewise, takes the opportunity to sit down and rest a bit, with his spear leaning against the wall and his shield next to him.
(Rejuvenation, rolled a 7, so that works)

Moktli barricades the main door. He allows his eyes to adjust to the dark of the room. He asks if torches or light source is an option.
He is not tired and will take first and 3rd watches.
"Only got 7 arrows. They have to count."

- I could help you to dispose some of them but if these are many, I'm not sure if the bird corpses would attract more of these treskels - discloses as she keeps looking here and there
