(Ibubesi will peak inside warehouse 2 - through a barely cracked door, with foot proppedat the bottomto keep it from being easily flung open.)

- And as we thinking about making 'home' in one of these houses, might be better if we try to secure one for later on? Then we could still investigating the other with the peace of mind of knowing that one is good enough - Looking to everyone

Ibubesi turns back and whispers: "The 1st warehouse is reasonably secure. Before any of the rest of us leave for the New City, we should further secure it for our future use - regardless of if Calidane stays here tonight or not."

The kes'trekel warehouse mimics the first building... just more decayed. The bodies of the greedy carrion eaters lie dead upon the ground. Looking above, you can tell that whatever damage to the ceiling was caused long ago. The offal and nesting having the appearance of being used over tens of years at the very least (and perhaps even longer!).
The ragged nest contains a half dozen softball sized eggs.
When camping is suggested, Baxby smiles and lisps a response. "I'd prefer stayin' over here with you... I gets too many mean lookses from the other side of the bridge. S'only a matter of time before someone picks a fight, ya know?"

(Ibubesi will relate the info from looking into warehouse 2 to the others, and then make a Animal Lore check - rolled 17 vs. 14 - fail, to determine A) the relative worth of Kes'trekel eggs for eating vs. for training, B) The best way to transport the live eggs for resale.)
(Bob - What's the status of the undead?)
"Does anyone recall - is there a market for viable Kes'trekel eggs in the beast market of Celik? How should we handle them so as to preserve them?"

Moktli prods a dead bird with his boot, pokes around the next area with an axe, looking for anything valuable.
"Bax, if there's nothing to kill, let's scope this room. Dunno how safe it is to camp here with broken rook and all.."
He will look around the room and shadow Baxby's searching.

- I am not sure if it's any market but, could these birds be trained? - Valmera looks to Ibubesi - Because it would be interesting, besides these eggs could be edible if cooked, as we lost meat in getting rid of them

"I wouldn't be opposed to having a couple eggs for breakfast tomorrow," says Calidane.

"I have seen trained birds being used by merchants as advanced warning signs for trouble. As far as a market in Celik, isn't there a market for almost everything here? Over the last month I have seen many sorts of beasts being traded in Celik with traders bragging about their sales to Balic and Altaruk. One trader even mentioned shipping of a certain rare creature to Tyr."
(OOC: Bob I am again going to take a good look at these undead. Do they have recognizable markings, like tattoos or carvings in their skin, any clothes remaining that might indicate their origin, et cetera.)
Quila looks over at Baxby and Calidane and says "If you guys want to camp out tonight I would feel better knowing you did not have to worry about these undead. Or do you want to leave them as a deterrent?"

"I'd rather not risk one of them getting loose while we're asleep," says Calidane to Quila.

It's common knowledge that kes'trekel eggs are edible and that the occasional merchant guard will keep them as pets (and to search for fresh kills that may be scavenged).
The ropes holding the undead corpses are strangely intact and whole, as if the nooses been replaced in more recent memory. They have a similar width to the rotten pieces you've seen in these two abandoned warehouses. Surely there is a reason behind this.
Tell me how you wish to deal with the corpses. Since they are considered "prone", a safe movie-style undead head shot kill is possible if you can reach their neck.
If you cut the rope, then we need to deal with initiative and the rest. Discuss.

(OOC: Bob, is reaching their neck meant to say that we need to decapitate them with a slashing weapon or just bludgeon the head or pierce their brain? You mentioned before the height is 20 feet of the warehouse but I managed to touch one as well, so they are not tied up so high where their head is 19 feet up are they?)

(Is head-shoting the undead somehow better than very reasonably chopping off their legs and arms while still suspended, and then cutting down their immobile trunks and THEN chopping the head off? Other than it's cinematic-ness?)

I mean, I guess you can hack off limbs (DM pout). Point being is that they aren't free to escape and hang perhaps with their feet 3-5 feet off the ground. Your party has a lot of short folk... I guess I was just imagining something more scene worthy than a weird, clumsy pinata number.

"Hrumph."
The Dwur breaks off from observing Baxby's casing the room.
He walks up to 5 feet from a hanging deadboi, nocks an arrow and grins.
"Headshot target practice GAME ON."
Called shot (-4) point blank at its skull:
Rolled 3. He drops bow and grabs axes.
"Belgoi's balls."
