- Nods to Quila - I understand but will this be seen as a breach on the city rules? - like speaking her mind in a rethorical question

There are few issues as you sell the "loot".
The trader that runs the small emporium of tents towards the north end of the new city is flamboyantly dressed in animal print hide - some sort of hunting cat, yellow and brown spotted in pattern. Silt goggles of thin pyrite and a purple dyed jester's style hat complete the look as he grins thinly and steps from beyond the threshold.
"Oh hai! I do believe you're the fresh meat in town? With a lifer to boot!"
Finely cured dark brown leather boots click upon the cobbles as he stops and bows.
"Elim's the name. Let us see what you have today."
He will offer 3 bits (Balician) for the eggs but...
"You implore on raising the beasts? Well that would be something. Bashyr! Get me the candles, let us pry into the depths of the egg and see if any cloud that may turn to chick!"
The eggs are soon brought to dark tent, candled and examined.
"Two maybe hatched. 6 ceramics for those each; 3 bits each for the rest."
Guano? He'll offer 2 bits a pound.
"Kes'trekel? Breaks down fast, not suitable for much fire. Better for farming and as you can see..." He gestures widely, "There isn't much of that in the city, no?"
Sandhowler meat and pelts?
4 bits a pound for meat and 10 ceramics for the pelts.
"The issue here? These were hard fought and soiled. Bloody shame, really. The white ones are usually sought after. But? You have a half pelt here - and it looks like it sat overnight. The blood has stained and since the raw side hasn't been salted, scraped or dried?"
He tsk, tsks.
"Not worth so much."

- Valmera looks to everyone and steps ahead once - I'm sure someone with your name and look, is well known in Celik, I can see that - The brunette elf looks to the seller with her green eyes in approval - My name is Valmera, nice to meet you. My thoughts have come straight to the conclusion that we maybe could get a better individual price if we agree to sell, just to you - emphatising this somehow subtle - goods just like these ones.
You will get a supply and we will both benefit.
The woman slightly nods with the head - Yes, I understand that you are not very impressed but white sandhowler skin is not easy to gather and, I believe as soon as you sell some, your customers will ask you for more.
- The female trader makes a short pause before continuing - We cannot guarantee that we will always return with one but for you, knowing that you will sell such a delicacy as soon as we fetch one, would not make this society worth of? Because it would be a shame to see it in store somewhere else.. We can set an agreement for the first three trades, including this one in course, and take it from there. What do you think? - Valmera looks if the merchant agrees
[OOC: Which race is him? Bargaining roll 6 from a max 13, success]

Human? Slightly mutated as it would be. Skin is a bit rough; sunbaked.
"I tell you what. You find me an intact albino carcass - spare the butchery you attempted this last time, and I'd be more than happy to pay you 13 silvers or the amount in trade."

With a threat-clearing of obvious intent "He-hem.", Ibubesi steps back a touch and gathers everyone together for a huddle.
"Those prices seem fair to me. The hides were not skillfully collected - we knew that."
"Valmera, inquire about if he (or others) might purchase live beasts for training. And if he can procure berries of edible fruit - any variety - for a reasonable price."
(OoC: Bob, what skill IS what a person would use to butcher animals and properly collect hides for later use?)

(Bob, if possible I'll add in with Bureaucracy nwp to get a slightly better price - 10% higher - but that's all Quila will do here)

You can add 10% to the end total depending on what you sell. No issues.
The following skills, plus there's probably other more obscure ones that I'd either allow a flat roll or give modifiers for. Hunting. Leatherworking. Seamstress/tailor. Cooking. Survival specific to the terrain said prey was common to. I did roll with animal lore in consideration - but the main issue?
The cats tore into the sandhowlers hard.

(I figured they mauled it pretty well. I was more worried about preserving the hides long term; the skills list will address that.
We'll keep the guano sample. Maybe someone else is grow foodstuffs nearby - they can't ALL be just hunting)

(OOC: In all fairness, I needed to roll for it still. I roll 17 vs 14 so that's a failure. On the other hand, I do have the Seamstress/Tailor NWP. What would that allow me, either now/previously with these hides or in the future.) Looking at the trader Quila laughs a bit, spittles forming in the corner of her mouth, before she corrects herself and says "You know, what about the trading laws for smaller people," pointing at the humans, dwur, and halfing around her, "smaller usable hides can still be made into clothes or coverings for them. I bet you fetch the same price whether you sell it to a long or short agent of the House."

- Valmera looks at Quila with serious eyes and then to the Merchant with a more relaxed one, like not giving attention to her party member's comment - I guess that she meant to say that not everyone would use the same amount of pelt to craft the same piece but, in any case. At this moment it's me who is trading with you now, so please forgive what was just said.. - In an attempt to divert the buyer's mind back into business - May you also have any edible berries in stock we might buy from you? - enquiring with a friendly smile

"Berries? I might be able to locate some bulis berries... dried though."
He sends Bashyr off to find said items.
Shortly two options are given.
"We have a pound of dried bulis berry or this fresh, scuppernog berry (looks to be about 2 pounds). 9 bits for the dried; 7 bits for the fresh scuppers."

(We'll take the fresh. How many berries are in a pound and long do they keep?)

Think like grapes - size and quantity. About 150-ish pieces. They are bought out on a shallow reed basket. Taste is more bitter, a silvery, thick skinned flesh with a juice that has a silvery sap to it.

(Then, like grapes, I'll assume they last for a week. We buy a pound.)
(What's next?)

(For me as a player I’m just standing by now as I think we need to get a price quoted for the total amount of goods we wanted to trade. Unless our traders wants to go into a protracted barter I figure all is said and done by now)
Quila keeps an ear to the ground while at the market and moving about the New City. What is the fresh rumor or gossip around town? I will also talk up some Maraneth agents I know from my previous month in the city to ask about any undead lore that’s floating around, or anything on the Old City I haven’t heard.
(After that, I figure we head out again?)
