Ylonis frowns upon the at first seemingly macabre practice of the Sun Temple but, the High Priest's weird facial expressions aside, concludes that disposing of all the corpses strewn about Nibenay is as necessary a task as any.
"I'm not sure our work here is finished Rimir. We should really ask them to send a delegate. Get out your ribbon on my mark. Let me see if I can talk to him."

Ylonis harrumps, looking to get the priest's attention again, before speaking. "My dear priest, I beckon you to to listen to a summons of King Nibenay, but pray let me first offer fealty to the Sun."
Ylonis bows, takes the ribbon from Rimir, and begins a small performance, twirling the ribbon and reciting poetry on the fly.
"You tell me how the sun rose, A ribbon at a time The sun emerges each day From his amazing dais And leaves the day empty again
Without incidents of Flame or breezes in parched Sky The sun still emerges again And we can but follow and rise."
Waiting a bit for the ribbon to come to rest, for dramatic effect, she looks at the High Priest and says, "and now we must ask you my dear priest to follow and rise to the occasion. King Nibenay has sent out a summons to all parties to come to the table and discuss rebuilding the great city after the disaster that befell it and its citizens. Will you attend the council for the Temple of the Sun?"

((Oh, no worries--they rolled a Friendly reaction to you, so they are unlikely to need much persuading.))
The priests seem to be pleasantly surprised to encounter someone of the same religious persuasion as they are, at least superficially.
"Of course. The King and his people must, of course, have need of us now--more than ever." The High Priest offers a sharp grin. "He can count on our attendance, I assure you."

Looking positively beaming, Ylonis answers, "thank you," and walks away a short distance towards the rest of the group (or else hopes they follow here away a bit).
At a distance from the Sun Temple, Ylonis continues, "Bharnag, Rimir, and Yag, now we can go to the next place. You said something about the State School, did you not, Rimir? Do we know something about that place?"
(OOC: Ylonis checks her repertoire of local and regional facts about our next intended stop - I roll a 9 vs 16 for my Local History[Ivory Triangle] nwp)

Ylonis's Local History knowledge makes her privy to the fact that the Way is well-practiced in Nibenay. Dozens of Psionic schools dot the city, some as small as a handful of students in the city park and some as large as the preserver universities constructed eons ago, including one secreted away in the Naggaramakam where Siemhouk was taught.
The schools tend to nurse fierce rivalries with one another, though these have never broken out into violence in the past. The recent revival of Nibenay's monastic traditions has been fertile grounds for Psionicists and Clerics, who find the customs particularly amenable to their way of life.
As the group are on their way to their next generation, they pass through a wealthy market district. Now mostly abandoned, the group encounter what would appear to be the band of looters from earlier in the midst of a confrontation with a surviving patrol of the city's Templars. While before it would be easy to determine which side is which, the dirt and grime caked over both participants allows the Templars to be determined only by the fact that they're all women.
At the moment, it seems like the Shadow-Wives are trying to get the looters to fork over their ill-gotten goods and return to their homes.

"By the Elements, these people AGAIN? I say we just kill them this time." Rimir mutters to the rest of the party.

Yag chirps agreement and flies up to circle around the competing groups, javelins loaded to throw. He stops to hover above and behind the templars:
"Noble templars your City Guaaaard is ready to assist! You Looooters! Cease or we not so nice to you!"

The dozen or so ragged looters don't look like they're in the mood for a dustup.
"Oh, great...looks like the deputies are here again."
"Just our luck."
They glance around meekly, clearly lacking the nervy to stand up to the law that a professional criminal would have. "You know, families won't feed and clothe themselves now that half the Market District's ankle-deep in acid."
The Templars are able to slowly encircle the group, who meekly surrender whatever makeshift arms they were carrying, confiscating their stolen goods, and sending them on their way over the course of about fifteen minutes. The Shadow-Wives, their curvaceous bodies covered with nicks, scrapes, and grime, offer terse thanks to the group afterward, eying them warily.
"Good work back there. I guess there weren't enough of us to get them to capitulate without you around."
"Guess you're good for something, after all."
"Not the backup we would've liked, but...I suppose you'll do."
(500 experience points to the lot of you for managing to deescalate the situation!)

The State School is found in the Naggaramakam, and houses Nibenay's most prized Psionic disciples. The school has sustained surprisingly little damage, considering the immense carnage evident within the rest of the Naggaramakam, and the remains of dozens of undead Templars lay scattered throughout the courtyard, the bodies seemingly having been blasted apart by some supernatural force.
Several dozen faces peer out of the barricaded windows, warily sizing up the approaching party. Dwarves, humans, elves, half-elves, thri-kreen, and even a Half-Giant or two make up their ranks, and the very air itself seems to shift and crackle as the students prepare to weaponize the Way against yet another band of base cur looters. Perhaps when the disaster first begun the attendees might have been fearful, but now cold steel glitters in their eyes--whatever has happened in the intervening hours has hardened them to the slaughter.

(Slowly pulls our the ribbon in a non-threatening way)
"Hail. We are representatives sent by the king to check on you. Do you require aid of any kind?"
