Bharnag laughs a bit at that last part. "Sounds like an old dwarven tactic, especially the vaults of artifacts. You sure these were wizards and not just dwarves?"

The spectre looks as if he's only a bit short of starting to jump up and down in anger.
"You--! You say that to me again after sunset. I'll peel the skin off of your filthy bodies with my bare hands! And once I'm done with you, I'll set you to work digging this blasted crater! So help me, the wizard-lords' relics will be uncovered by your hands! If you manage to survive the rigors of unearthing the palace's hidden basement, once I return to life I will see you disintegrated for this insolence!"

Bharnag looks around for any signs of excavation work.
"Don't send a zombie to do a dwarf's job."

There are no signs of any excavation work here. It would appear, like everything else the undead do, that it must have reset at dawn.

Rumor takes half a step forward (but is still WELL clear of the spirit).
"Why not now? I'm right here. Or do you fear that I'm slightly more capable of defending myself than a child or an old woman?"

After consulting with the party's psion, Bharnag will set about excavating at the point in the crater they witnessed the undead working.
"Doesn't matter how far I travel from it, it always comes back to working with stone and earth."

- "So that means that the artifact is what maintain your army ongoing right?" - awaiting a moment - "As a high ranked individual as you are, you have honor and as such I'm looking forward to propose you a deal. Give me your word without tricks neither betrayal or retaliation, that you'll help us, that you will help Gallard in his endeavour when we retrieve one of the artifacts from the vault of the wizards, without undead interference and then, you will lend us the your army for a few months to defend Nibenay." - Awaiting his reply

The spirit howls furiously.
"The only thing that saves you from me is the spell the Wizard-Lords wove. Me and my army are powerless while the sun shines."
The spirit advances on Rimir, winding up a vicious haymaker and swinging directly at his face. The metal gauntlet passes right through him, and he feels nothing save a brief, cool breeze.
The spectre's piercing, hateful little eyes stare out of his great helm, and he raises an arm to point at the noonday sun.
"You watch that sun real close, now, oaf."

Upon hearing the Templar's offer, he hesitates for a moment. The spirit is not quite sure how to respond, considering how angry it is. It spends a few moments considering.
"If...if you really intend to dig up the palace's basement...I...will not stop you."

- "Thank you, and which one is your name?" - queries - "I'm Hwasa from Nibenay, and I'm still waiting your promises in relation to my offer.." - in firm but calm tone of voice

The figure draws himself up pridefully before the group, sticking his nose in the air and crossing his arms.
"I promise you nothing whatsoever. You are not the ones with the power here. You will entertain my demands, and not me yours. Either you will surrender the artifacts I wish to have when the basement is uncovered or I will slaughter you as you dig the moment the sun dips below the horizon. Should you leave your work half-done and come back the next morning, you will find I have filled in your pit. There will be no other terms."

- "You are fully aware that we are your only chance to find them, we can go away and leave you with your never-ending task or make an alliance, from which you gain too. You also know better than any of us the weight of the dust of time in a research that doesn't come to fruition but, if that is your final choice..." - turning her head to Bharnag but without giving her back to the spirit - "We can then leave here, what do you think?"

The warlord seems unmoved.
"If you had any alternative, you would not have come to me. If you can find these treasures elsewhere, I advise you go there, for I know you cannot."

"Fool! We we didn't come here for the trinkets that bind you, nor for the prattle of the defeated."
"If we leave here, you will continue in pointlessly unending toil and torture, and we will happily go on with our lives - we win, you loose again!"
"Ignore her offer, I DARE you. My laughter will ring out to you all the way back to Gallard's throne."
"Fool."
