Round 5 initiative with spear: 10. LAST round of Bless.
With hundreds of voices calling his name, the fighter in Yag puts swagger in his movements, rotating the spear slower to display its blades. The cleric in him just hears potential disciples to enlighten. With a clear overhead sweep of the arena for any opponent with a ranged weapon, he banks out of the sun, charging the officer, spinning the spear as fast as he can to keep certain grip:
#AT 4 with expertise: 2 on officer, 2 on his most wounded flanking guard: Thaco 17 vs. officer, 18 on his flank. 1: miss 2: hits AC -1, damage 1 3: hits AC 0, damage 1 4: natural 1
One blade whooshes over the officer's head, as the other end spins around with a grazing blow that opens an ugly red scratch the length officer's arm. The spear's momentum slashes the more wounded flanking Gulgan with a matching scratch, just enough to give the crowd some blood on an exposed leg. He's taunting them! But then he loses grip and his weapon tumbles to the ground off to the side. <can't lose faith now!> He orbits 20 feet above the spear, loading his sling and twirling it with the same momentum while daring the bloody Gulgans to break ranks:
"COME AN'TAKE IT, YA TEMBO BUGGERS YAAAAAG!"

Round 5 - initiative: 8-2 (total of 6); Ylonis starts using some of her arena mage/bard ability to sway the crowds further into her team's favour now that there's ample blood flowing and the match is in their favour. She does some acrobatics, waves at the stands full of frenzied spectators and juggles several arrows before catching them in the pit of her arm and firing off two shots at the end of the round at the Gulg's leader or whomever is already hurt and still standing.
(OOC: I rolled a 8 for AC 9 and a 13 for AC 4, doing 1 and 4 damage. My bard kit allows me to use the bard ability of influence reactions using acrobats, juggling. I attempt to shift the reaction of the crowds one level toward more 'friendly'. Crowd save vs paralysation at -1 penalty. See Bard handbook for the ability description if you need more details.)
AC 4 (AC 0 with Tumbling, AC -4 with Shield for regular attacks, device-propelled AC -5, hand-hurled AC -6), hp 6 (missing half due to templar beating), PSP 46, 6 rounds of Shield remain.

- Nadiya decides to snap the rest of useful bow string and uses the battle as distraction to meld around, using her movement to attack their chief - 'Half of them down, their chief paralysed and, even when I don't think they'll surrender, it would be a great moral incentive for our side!' - She thinks as she moves forward in a curved movement, using the vast Arena to circumvent the front line but too much excitement makes her fail
[OOC: *Round 5* I rolled a 4, so unless the leader has 8 AC or worst I failed. Base Thaco 20, 4 attack+ 7 paralysis +1 bless = 8AC. In any case, 3 piercing damage, but I doubt it]

The crowd seem to be loving Ylonis's antics. By this point, their chanting is totally and utterly on the party's side. They're granted a +1 to THAC0 and damage so long as the crowd remains overwhelmingly in their favor! Ylonis's arrow nearly downs the officer, leaving him an easy target for Yag'haara. The Kreen and Mul continue bleeding out, barely alive--but not for long. Yag'haara's artistic attacks do barely any damage, but it adds up--the officer is barely still standing. Nadiya is able to hit the weakened officer, downing him with her weapon! The rest of the Gulgans look terrified--with the fall of their commander, their morale buckles--unless another of their number steps up, they're unlikely to continue fighting. The elves loose a flurry of arrows--most miss, and the one that bites flesh only draws a few drops of blood. Kharam wastes another 17 PSPs failing to do anything useful, and instead rushes into melee to take a swing. It connects, dealing an acceptable portion of damage. The Dwarf's sword connects, as well, and the combined attacks from Rimir and Bharnag manage to finish off this Gulgan, too. The Gulgan line is broken--only four remain in combat, now. Six are dead and two are still unconscious. Their doom is clear. Without their officer, the group begin surrendering freely--the third of their number that remain alive, at least. The crowd's adulation is deafening. It would appear that, for the moment, the fighting is over. Those who had seen arena matches before would know that if a living combatant was defeated, their life--or death--depended on the will of the Sorcerer-King...someone who is not present for today's game.

Ylonis looks around at her 'team' and helps clear a path to the kreen and mul if needed to see if they can be saved. She will keep her bow trained on the Gulgites for now but hold her fire. "Quickly, can anyone help the kreen and mul up again? I'd like it for them not to die this time around."

Yag pockets the sling and takes wing, keeping beady eyes on the surrendering Gulg survivors. He drops to retrieve his spear and waddles over to the fallen kreen. With spear ready and aimed towards the Gulgans, and a victorious chirp to the crowd, he gently places his empty wing-hand on the dying kreen's carapace and calls forth a restoring breeze, while attempting to conceal his magic: Somatic Concealment rolled 12 vs. 18 (success) Cure Light Wounds: healing 3.

Both downed contenders are returned to a single hit point, glancing around feverishly as they attempt to get their bearings. The two of them look thoroughly lightheaded from severe blood loss, but they'll live now. The crowd is in an uproar, clearly eager to see how the match will end.

- Nadiya looks to the Gulgites, and to her party, nodding at them. She then focus into the rows of sits far in the distance - the Colosseum is a huge wide arena - and with the hands tries to cool down the bursting of the viewers from their viewing seats.
The auburn woman turns to the mul and the Tri-kreen and smiles to her party, then speaks to the High Templaress - Your Highness, here is the resolution of the match - She makes a pause to increase the tension in the air - I killed their leader and I have my own judgement, as the rest of this party, but them - moving her hand in an arch covering the position of the Tri-kreen and the mul - Will decide the fate of the Gulgites.. They suffered the most and they'll decide their destiny! - trying to raise some tension in the populous.
Nadiya, the auburn woman gets close by the mul and the Kreen - You.. and you.. - awaiting their names - give your veredict - moving back a step where the rest of the party is, so all the sights would be on the wounded ones

Ylonis smiles a wicked smile at the solution manifesting in front of her. Loathe to kill herself except in selfdefense, but also thinking about the yoke of the templars, she feels just fine about letting the kreen and mul get their revenge on their would-be murderers. Thinking that she can do her part, she starts rousing the public again, mimicking a sword thrust to the gut and cleaning the blood of the sword, all the while doing acrobatics.

The Thri-Kreen remains silent--the Mul, on the other hand, is much more eager to render his verdict. "Death to the Oba, and all her servants!" This immediately garners the crowd's approval, as most Athasian peoples' thirst for blood is insatiable. The remaining four Gulgans don't go down without a fight, but they are hopelessly outnumbered and rapidly cut down. The Thri-Kreen takes no part in this, instead choosing to begin eating one of the fallen Gulgans, tearing into his stomach and devouring the spool of intestines that pours out. He (or she?) doesn't get a great deal of time to enjoy it, however, as the last Gulgan's death marks the end of the Matinee--and thus, the end of the party's time in the arena. Templars open the way for the group to retire from the arena and back to their hopelessly cramped quarters--it's time for the *real* gladiators to fight. The party were just to get the crowd going, it seems. At the very least, the party can rest assured that they are safe from death in the arena until the next Blood Day--barring an escape attempt, of course.

Bharnag makes his way back to the slave quarters. He looks over the others as they file in, keeping an eye for those who are more grievously wounded. He will share his life force with the Mul, the Elf and the Thrikreen as well as any others who appear heavily wounded. ((If it's just the 3, he will heal them for 6 hp each. If there are more he will divide up the healing differently.))
Lend Health Activation rolls: 9, 13, 16 (Target: 19)
Bharnag will then slowly walk over to a corner of the slave cell and sit crosslegged in restorative meditation for 4 hours.
Rejuvination NWP roll: 5 (Target 14)
((after this meditation Bharnag will be at full PSP and +12 hp))
Bharnag HP: 5/26 AC: 10 PSP: 3/36 Currently wearing a loincloth

These three seem to really appreciate Bharnag's ministrations, and they quickly seize the more comfortable-looking areas, much to the chagrin of those who file in later. The Templars arrive shortly, complimenting the group quietly on offering '...a decent fight. More than we expected, at the very least...' with healers in tow--these healers eliminate any remaining wounds before filing away, reminding the group to 'Train hard. We'll have some more for you next month. Now, we must see to the *real* fighters.' The gladiators are left alone, locked up tightly in the sardine can generously called a 'barracks.' Rimir, the freeman, is free to leave whenever he chooses, of course, and is the exception among the group. Kharam watches Bharnag's healing with a bit of envy. "I wish I could help like that. Portals are more my specialty."

Bharnag nods to Kharam. "The Hawk honors the monkey for it's ability to climb. The monkey is envious of the hawk's freedom of flight. Neither hawk nor monkey can swim under the water."
Once his meditations are finished, Bharnag visibly relaxes and lays across the cool stone floor. "Now that the templars know our tricks we will be paired up in combats that are more difficult for us to overcome."

Kharam waves his hand dismissively. "I don't believe they consider us big-ticket enough to be worth such a specially engineered matchup. Most likely, we're going to end up against more unlucky schmucks next time. Give it a year or two without ever losing, and we'll be out of here." He chuckles a little. "What do you think our chances are?"
