Chat'cho produces a long, low whistle, taking ahold of the satchel. She'll plant them during the night, when she has time...

You have seeds that were also supplied for trade or barter that are packed on your crodlus. Grape seeds, apricot, fig, squash, apple... you notice they're plants that need pollinators. Perhaps this is something that Oronis or the Tribunal had prior knowledge of? There *are* a lot of winged insects here.

Akos responds to your mental "voice". He sounds pleased to hear from you.

She whistles and cocks her head to one side, producing a series of odd, staccato clicks. "What know you, soxht-skinned one?" "Do you want knowledge, a skill, or a language? I know the accents for Balic, Tyr, Urik, and Celik for example. Or I could teach you the way of the stargazers of Athas (Astrology). Or maybe, just maybe, you would be interested in techniques to make artful decorations (Jewelry, which could definitely work on chitin)," Quila responds coyly, and changes tone between what could either be sarcasm or totally innocent, and changes body posture, placing her hands on her hips and continues, "Don't discount your pets too quickly now my dear wandering druid."

She waggles her eight fingers happily, thoroughly enticed by what she hears. "Decorations? I like those..."
Despite the species gap, Chat'cho appears to share the stereotypically-feminine desire to be pretty.
"This is agreea*le to I, dra."

" Should we assist? I am currently spent for spells though, if we could Contact Akos, I am sure he could sell us some rations. I could open a Wormhole to bring it here, but we'd need it to be staged so it was quick. Think it is worth the try? Think 25 Gold of rations from each of us would improve their food stores here?" "Ande, we ought to contact Akos anyhow and update the Tribunal on everything we have seen and heard so far. Let's do that now." Quila continues after having helped stocking the kreen cupboard of munchies. Quila and Ande will look for a quiet nook somewhere in the building or outside as Ande didn't like going into the building. Then Quila will Contact/Mindlink with Akos. She sits in a cross-legged position with her hands palm upwards on her knees. She breathes lightly and enters her mindscape and looks eastward to a shining light near snow-capped mountains and concentrates on the features of Akos, trying to ping him. "Akos, Akos, Akos." her call echoes over the peaks of the mountains into the valley beyond. (OOC: Normally I'd succeed on Contact automatically, PS is 17-20, but distance is a thing here I reckon as Kurn is 750+ miles away. My adjustment is -7, bringing the PS to 16. I roll a 14 on 16, success for Contact. You admin the PSP's as that's level-based. I then initiate Mindlink. I roll a 15 on 18, success.) "Inquire about Erdland, they'll be our most cost effective source of meat for the Kreen I do believe." Ande says as she stretches her wings wide. "Perhaps we should secure a small parcel of specimens? Some to feed here, some as more gift for the Tohr of the west? I, too, should like to learn this Kreen dialect which is new to me, though, I should repeat this to Chat'cho"

Akos responds to your mental "voice". He sounds pleased to hear from you. <"How do you fare? I hope you haven't run into any trouble yet?"> <"We are fine for now. We have been welcome by the j'ez leader of the Nirik-Tohr settlement. His name is J'Lect. 1,500 kreen here of mixed subspecies but mostly j'ez."> and Quila communicates everything she has heard today which is remotely interesting for Kurn's Tribunal. Which includes the Emperor's wish to go east in search of better hunting. And of the incomprehension initially of the concept of longevity offered by the pear tree and it's fruits.
She will also inform about plans to go to the Messenger in the morning which is guarded by command of the emperor. Two outside threats (unknown to us now) have been defeated/repelled by the kreen. And she will definitely mention the mobat tracks, asking whether Kurn can verify who uses mobats for scouting.
<"J'Lect seems to think we should go to another larger j'ez settlement called Jez'tere, some distance to the west, holding 30-40x as many kreen, it would seem all j'ez. The j'ez in this settlement know little to nothing about the undead threat to the south. He advised us to go talk to a bigger settlement. The emperor wanting to go east could indicate the south not being viable to expand the hunt. J'Lect knows they are with too many for the land to sustain them at the moment. At least when they keep going with the hunt. Not all kreen think the same as the emperor in this. Some, like the kreen here, think raising prey is another good option. J'Lect expressed that he thinks Oronis is a good ally to make and he is genuinely supportive of us so far. Ande suggests we might help them start out by gating in a flock of Erdland. Some for Nirik and also some to take with us when we travel to Jez'tere. Is that possible?">
<"Also you need to know that the thri-kreen druid Chat'cho is enamored by the attention she receives from J'Lect and seems to do anything to be recognized as kreen by the tohr-kreen. I worry slightly on this matter as I have seen her almost emotional for a thri-kreen in her behavior. Granted, I do not know many kreen personally all that well. But it would seem information about the Tablelands and Kurn was shared with J'Lect.">

- Eslyk nods happily at Chat'cho - "Having plants and flowers mean pollen to get fruit, but also to grow the insects that do that task. Kank honey attracts more pollination insects, and big pollination insects can also be used for their meat" - after what, without awaiting any reply, she goes where HurK is.
She taps in his shoulder - "I'm not good teaching but I can introduce you to the way of following tracks or how to improve your nearby awareness, if you like to" - looking at him as she looks for one of her rations to share it with him

"Okay so. I agree too. Where to start, ah yes, selection of tools......" Quila takes out a small bundle of implements from her sack, "Mind you, I have my full kit in Kurn, these are just the basics. This one here, you would use that for ...." and they're off being gal pals, kreen and dra.

In return, Chat'cho does her very best to explain the differences between Tohr'Kreen and Thri'Kreen syllabary. She's not bad at it, despite the fact that she's choking on her Common rather badly.

[Teaching 10/18 rolled] Ande will definitely be paying attention when Chat'cho is going over this. " If you'd like I can even translate for you so you can focus on the Kreen, I do know you so very much dislike the Trade tongue. Any help I might give, if only to sit in on the lessons" she'd offer to Chat'cho.

Akos replies mentally, <"Chat'cho is well known to us here in Kurn and is tied to the land itself. We worry little of her loyalty. The Tribunal will be most pleased... a herd of erdland? It could be possible in a few days, but...">
He pauses as if he needs to consider something. But sometimes on the mindscape this means he's talking to someone physically. A slow ten count passes.
<"Yes. Yes, that's doable. But the livestock won't be brought out of Kurn proper. We'll be activating our agents in Tyr and Balic to purchase said animals out of market and then transport them over. Yes. Yes, that is perfect.">
Another long pause.
<"This J'lact, keep him safe over the other kreen if there's an issue. We would eventually like someone like him to meet with Oronis. I am getting a response to have you report on the Messenger's status and then head to the larger city and try to accomplish what you have done in this Nirik. If things keep going like this, expect to be congratulated upon your eventual return.">

<“It was never my intent to question her loyalty to the lands. I just want you to know her behavior is irregular and there might have been a share of information which I find premature in the stage of relations we are in. That is all.”>
<“I will let J’lect know that he can expect livestock as a sign of respect for his wisdom and leadership in a period of a lean hunt. Do ping us before gating things in though. We can get things ready on this end.”>
<“We will be in touch regarding the Messenger as soon as we know more. Can I tell all involved that we are instructed to safeguard J’lect above all others, or is it just me and Ande?”>

<"Please tell the others. It would be a shame to place a piece in the game only to have them removed from the board right away.">
Contact is severed at this point.
