Previous round save vs spell for flame damage: Need 10, rolled 14. Niachi takes 2 points damage.
Next round initiative: 1 unmodified.
Niachi flows backwards 15 feet with inhuman grace and dons his silly wizard's cap while singing:
"Candles red I have a pair! Shadows dancing everywhere!"
He casts Spirit Armor on self while facing the Fiend: SF 3, total SF 4. Duration: 14 rounds. His AC improves to 2 with a +3 bonus to saves from magical attacks. Not cumulative with his armor but Dex applies.
A sudden sharp metallic tang fill the air around him, as if a bag of powdered iron burst nearby. From his silently screaming mouth a luminous orange aura with grey edges flows and envelops him. He crouches with open hands ready for movement, his weapons, more sorcery or all 3. He reviews everything remembered from his elders' songs of the Planes, and of their inhabitants.
As HurK charges with his elf-sized scimitar, he observes if the mundane weapon does any damage.

- Focusing in that huge sword and attempting to make her dropping it but failing miserably, her second option is for her to accept her fate, we are more and well prepared, repeating that mantra in her head, accept lance of her defeat

Hurk cuts into the fire woman savagely as she easily shrugs off (34 points of damage) the light cuts upon her body.
This coupled with the mental attacks on her self esteem and ego cause her to buckle, however.
Hurk takes another 6 points of damage as he burns from within. Every pore screams and it seems to not relent in the slightest.
Eslyk taps the dread foe's mind and Liandrin turns to smoke, dissipating into the morning air while the domes to the immediate right and left of her (and Hurk) ignite into flame.
Chat-cho casts cloudburst, taming those flames a tad, but even less for Hurk. His fire is internal. Immolation in the first degree and it doesn't seem to abate.
Assuming your goliath survives, perhaps you've scared this threat away.
It seems the dispel has failed... or you'd hope the flames would've ceased by now.

Ande's intention for the next round is to cast Protection from Fire on herself and then close the gap with HurK to cast the same spell on him the following round if no one else does first.

HurK sticks his blade into the ground and backs away from everything and everyone. "I... I CAN'T... HEAL... WHILE I... BURN!" The stark naked flaming giant says through gritted teeth and unbelievable pain "Some... One... Throw... A heal... on me... until it... Burns itself... Out!

Gasping at what happenend, Quila rumages around in her memory. Did she ever read or hear anything about such flame creatures?
(OOC: I roll a 13 on 16 for my NWP Ancient History (Green Age) -- not sure if you use the period specific usage of that per Mark Hope's writedown)
She then starts to try and get HurK's predicament solved. "Chat'cho, can you help and see if you can get the magic that's affecting our half-giant companion dispelled? I tried just now but it did not do anything. I fear the magic is strong. I will heal instead now the flames have doused for a moment by the Cloudburst," Quila says. She then proceeds to call upon the might of Oronis and heal HurK.
(OOC: Cure Moderate Wounds for only a measly 3 hp.)

Quila believes this Liandrin to be an efreetess, possibly one of noble blood. These cruel beings are denizens of the Elemental Plane of Fire & Flame. While they are rarely seen on Athas, they are known to meddle in the affairs of mortals when they have something to gain. The implications of trying to gain revenge on a singular entity makes you think she was bound or imprisoned here at some point... as some fire cultists and wizards have been capable of doing, at least in story.
Hurk screams in agony as the cloudburst does not seem to work on this extremely powerful curse of immolation. Steam erupts like a kettle forgotten from his frame, but the two domes are extinguished, yet ruined.
The tohr gather outside the immediate area, weapons in hand, but confused as to where the hunt may be.
J'lact shouts in tohr-kreen, "Should we put your friend out of his misery?"

- Eslyk gets closer to the animals, soothing voice - "That's ok, that's ok beautiful, that's gone, calm down.." - Offering some of her food to try to appease them as she caresses their skin. Turning at Quila in soft voice to not stress the animals more - "If HurK feels pretty bad, could he transforms himself in a bigger animal and get some benefits from increased constitution? Or is it anyway you could praise for any resilience against elements to reduce the damage he receives?" - then turning to the animals - "It's all good now, all right?" - hugging and caressing them

Chat'cho produces a long, low whistle that sounds quite unnatural to non-kreen as she assesses the situation. Keeping well back from the conflagration, the druidess offers her suggestion as to the solution.
"Mmitigate the xhire as mmuch as *ossi*le. When it has *urned itselxh out, I will remmove any *urns lexht on the large one's *ody."
Once the fire burns itself out on Hurk, she will cast three Orison spells on him, restoring 27 HP. This, of course, takes 27 rounds, so Hurk is going to be enjoying the TLC of a Thri-Kreen for quite some time.

"What are they saying Chat'cho? I think I hear 'friend' but that's all I got. Do they want to help HurK? Or are they asking whether we really are friends at all? I would question that too by now. First we bring them a spore disease. Then we teleport in an evil creature of elemental fire without first HAVING A TALK ABOUT IT amongst ourselves." With that last emphasized comment Quila does look quizzically at Ande.
Quila will help extinguish any fires in the community first, now that Eslyk is helping with the mounts and Chat'cho seems to be busy with J'lact and HurK.
Once everything calms down, and HurK is safe, she sighs, and then picks up from her last remark and takes Ande aside and starts, "Ok. I'm gonna just say it. Ande my dear. Not a day after your unfortunate accident where you almost blew yourself up, you manage to almost get the whole of Nirik-Tohr burned, you do stuff without discussing and bringing great risk to other's lives. Why do you insist on chaos and caprice? I am so not used to you acting this careless. Impulsive yes, but careless no. What has gotten into you of late?" Quila will do her best not to involve everyone and keep it mostly between Ande and herself, but she isn't going out of her way about this. Anyone perceptive enough or with their ears perked will get what she said to her fellow templar.

"The Tohr ask ixh your large xhriend should *e taken out oxh his suxherring. I will disa*use themm oxh this notion."
She shifts tongues in order to do just that.
[Tohr'Kreen] "I believe we are equipped to save him, but it is comforting to know that should I find myself in such circumstances my suffering would be short."

As the fiend poofs away and HurK is attended to, Niachi cancels his Spirit Armor before its wierd colors add further chaos among the tohr and their animals. He helps to extinguish whatever building fires remain, salvage any items from the burnt structures, and gather the herd.
Then he barks out a call to his pet circling above, and mentally pings it:
“Any new visitors approaching from all horizons? Return to me.”
He is listening.

Ande cocks her head quizzically at Quila's accusation before leaning in and saying <Voice Mimicry failed: "I say bag and tag, ask questions later"> <chuckles at her vocal fail> "I know that didn't sound like you but do you genuinely not recall speaking those words to me just minutes ago?" a look of concern crosses Ande's face "I even went to lengths to refine the process from prior experience. I will accept blame for not being 100% sure of the identity of the target that I was asked to collect, but please don't act like I was acting alone in the decision you made and I put into action!"
Ande leans back to stand as straight as she can. "Scapegoating one of us for the decisions of several of us is counterproductive and we don't have time to quibble when there's work to be done. We need to help Nirik-Tohr and ensure the safety and well-being of Erfurth and the Messenger. There's also the daylight investigation of the blast site for any other answers, which thus far has only yielded more questions given what just happened."
Ande turns and hops thrice before turning to face Quila again "Please Sister, I know we're all stressed but of anyone here to point their finger and lay blame on me for our actions, it was you?"
Ande turns and goes to offer her assistance with HurK to Chat'cho. If HurK is healed, she'll gather whoever isn't laying blame on her with their eyes and inquire "How shall we proceed?"
(OOC: ProFire would have given Ande 84 HP of Magical Fire Immunity, how much is left over once HurK is extinguished?)

"Yes Ande. It is me, would you rather have one not of us tell you this? I did say bag and tag, but you are wiser than to simply conclude from that one thing what you did. If you remember not just those three words but the whole context, you must also remember me saying that I was gonna check in as well. And then giving more information. If we had waited a few seconds, who knows what could have been. And you will also remember, only just minutes ago, that our now-still-burning friend said to open up a portal to her. So yes, I will certainly concur I had a role in this as well. But there's still your own judgment and conclusions happening here from whatever others say."
Quila pouts and puts her hands on her hips for a second, then loses her stern look, and replaces it almost instantly with her normal warm look, before continuing, "Listen Ande, I don't intend to scapegoat or blame. I want to make sure we both are on the same page regarding safety, tactics and precaution. Given all that, maybe we should also check in again with the Messenger? We know enough about the fire cleric elf situation and some names which we can divine on later."
