Chat'cho squeals with delight, waggling her abdomen and creating a great clattering as her weight shifts the bones beneath her. "You see? I haxhe *rought us this thing, this un*lundered treasure hidden dee* within the tunnels here. Dra enjoy things like this, yes? You are *leased with mme?"
The Thri-Kreen seems much more hungry for approval now.
She leans forward to try and lift the lid with her four arms.

It lifts, revealing six tomes matching the style of the one you found in the sand golem's hidey-hole. These are all slightly thicker. Black leather folios, and a series of thin colored ribbons marking several pages within. It also looks like there's a few loose sheets held inside the books as well. It smells of stale tobac and pine resin, much different than the charnel air that this room is counterposing.

"*ehold!" She peers down into the box. "*a*er!"
Being literate in two languages--Common, Thri-Kreen, and Tohr-Kreen, she gingerly attempts to decipher some of the indubitably many letters.
------ "Behold! Paper!"

'Muiko watches as Chat'cho opens the chest and smiles at the sight of books (so widely that it's obvious even with the veil). "Yes, yes, very good!" he says enthusiastically giving two thumbs up before eagerly grabbing a book and flipping through looking for anything he can read.

"Paper can't be forged, not that I was 'specting a chest full of iron ingots. 'Sides, I can't read neither."

While the books are too long to read without more time to study, they each have titles and the signatures of Myron within. They are as follows:
To the Elements & Beyond
A Strange City of Doors
Realm of Nightmares
Enemies of Establishment
Constructs & Stored Power
Weapons for the Warbringer

"Sounds like good bedtime stories." Attilius says as he stands and moves to keep watch of the hallway doors.

Upon seeing Myron's signature, and that these are all written in Common, Chat'cho will quickly put the books she had back into the box in precisely the order she found them in and implores the others to do the same. "The dra-haazi Mmyron created these, and clearly wished themm ke*t xhromm *rying eyes. Ixh taking themm did not *roxhoke his wrath, then dammaging themm almmost certainly will. Dra-haazi Oronis's lixhrary is a mmuch mmore a*ro*riate *lace than here to study themm. Let us go to the statue area and conclude our study here with the secrets there."
She starts lumbering off in that direction without further ado!
------
"The sleeper-emperor Myron created these, and clearly wished them kept from prying eyes. If taking them did not provoke his wrath, damaging them almost certainly will. Sleeper-emperor Oronis's library is a much more appropriate place than here to study them. Let us go to the statue area and conclude our study here with the secrets there."

"I think we should go get those robes first, put 'em on and check out all those doors in the dining room. Best to secure our rear before moving forward..."

Agreed? Or is there any other precautions you wish to take? The area leading to the robes has unexplored doorways as well.

'Muiko will leaf through the loose sheets, quickly examining them for relevance and handing them to Quila before checking the bookmarks in 'Enemies of Establishment' first.
'Muiko appears more comfortable with the books than he seems with most people.
Once Chat'cho is gone, 'Muiko looks up from the book and says "Did someone say something?"

The loose sheets seem to have no particular relevance. The books seem heavily worn and worked upon as well as being obviously old as dirt. Enemies of the Establishment speaks of realms beyond the realms he'd walked. There are symbols and theories on how to possibly contact those from beyond and how their power could theoretically be harnessed. Myron speaks of his brother often as the two disagreed upon certain details and the safety of tapping into such things.

Once Yvera has informed of what he ignored for sake of the book (via familiar bond), 'Muiko packs the books back up. "I would appreciate the allowance to examine these further when we return to Kurn" he says to Quila while gesturing at the now closed chest.
He will then follow to the robe room and wherever else the party leads.
