Attilius looks at Niachi with his eyes bulging out that clearly states: NO SHIT!

He'll pull out his Trikal, hold it at it's very end and stand as far as way as possible so that the weapons end hooks are 12' away from him. He'll then step 10' to the left at an angle to minimize his position to anything jetting straight outwards from the room be it a harmful element or gas. He'll then make sure everyone is aware and out of the vicinity before hooking the obsidian staff and pulling it out.

Chat'cho is going to get the sweet mother of fuck out of the room before any of this occurs, and probably halfway down the hallway. On her way out of the room, she'll jump just like how she got in, and then hightail it halfway up the hallway.

With a loud sigh of relief he drags it over to him with his Trikal hooks, away from the trap door but makes sure not to touch it.
"Someone check it for magikal traps" he says as he walks away into the robes room away from the doorway, sheathing his Trikal.

“Before we pick it up or touch it, allow me to investigate it further,” Quila intercedes, stepping forward a few steps in the direction of the half-giant while donning some leather gloves.

If allowed Quila will first approach it prodding a bit with her quarterstaff, moving forward closer to the staff, first twisting it around with her dagger and all the while trying to make sense of this staff (I take it the enchanment necromancy and alteration school information got shared) and also trying to see if it has any identifying marks on it, however small they may be.

Both Quila and Scrye have heard of such weapons. The unnatural construction and worked metal are the very bane of nature. Stories of druids and fae being crippled by such things in the hands of Wyan and his cohorts are still muttered under breath... but mostly by surviving members of the druidic path.

”Yes this does look like one,” Quila mutters, then speaks more loudly, ”The same worked metal and dread obsidian as that one depicted in the book I once read on the war on the druids that took place, but even before then on all kinds of fae by the one named Wyan amongst others. Vile evil defilement of so many lives lost.”

She stands, visibly shaken, and adds, “We need to destroy it or make sure this doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.”
