"...So, yeah Atillius, we go home the long way. In a hidden gold chariot, yeh?" "Ooof!" Attilius rolls his eyes and goes back to keeping rear security down the sunlight hallway. "<tongue-clicking sounds>" 'Muiko vocalizes from invisibility, those familar with elven herding practices might recognize the sounds as noise commonly used to signal draft kank to get on the move. "Surely, Aman wouldn't object to us claiming it as part of the reward for a successful hit? Oh, <Elven: the materials> we could acquire with so much Gold!" spoken clearly in Niachi's direction.

"Must be massively heavy, even if it's just gold plated." The Murmillo starts looking at the floor in deep thought for his massive brain while absent mindedly tapping his weapon against his greave armor. *clink* *clink* *clink* "How're we gettin' home now that Chat'cho's gone?" "You are getting home the Quila way now that my King has seen fit to bestow more power upon me. I know how to Fold Dimensions too."

"As for that chariot, maybe we learned our lesson with that worm book, did we not?"

All this banter has done nothing to fix the fact that you're all crammed in a hallway with a bunch of long dead corpses staring at a door with a necromantic symbol that promises little but entropy or worse. There seem to be more hidden ways about given your mental scouting beyond. You also have many more options given your current strength... perhaps you have been too accustomed to grand events and spaces to really think about how may each add to the adventure ahead.
That being said, Quila is soon interrupted by Akos, the Brown Elf and ward of Oronis.
<"Dear sister of Kurn... how fare thee? Your friend Chat'cho recently told me of your exploits. If all she said was true, um, wow. Simply incredible and worrisome all in itself.">

- "In the remote event that you may be able to, with that minimal chance firstly, I think it's an amazing tribute to the Lords of earth, as you could see since I started my journey with you and they deserve such offering, even if it's here as it's within their domain" - pointing to the earthy rocks, either polished or not, all the talk polite and in lecturing but friendly tone
- "Second, in the unlikely event that somehow you avoid the wrath of the Lords I serve, where would you take it to? Who will buy it? Do you know how to work with it? How many more power-thirsty individuals will be needed to deal with just to keep it safe? And how do we know if it's not cursed and we would not have to embark in another crazy journey to mend it?" - looking at Attilius, and making a brief pause -"I'm sure it would be any other things instead of it" - smiling at him

That being said, Quila is soon interrupted by Akos, the Brown Elf and ward of Oronis. <"Dear sister of Kurn... how fare thee? Your friend Chat'cho recently told me of your exploits. If all she said was true, um, wow. Simply incredible and worrisome all in itself."> <"Akos, so good to hear from you again. We are hale in body, but our minds certainly have experienced matters that would need some recuperation later. It would seem my actions to remove the cursed book from Kurn back to Aman's place were too hasty and vengeful in retrospect. I buried the book near his tower and then we left for our mission to the Eternal Hearth to get Chat'cho out from under her geas. We came through the ruins of Giustenal where we fought two fiendish creatures, including the one who calls himself Eater of Tongues. But pray tell, how is Kurn doing since we left all that time ago, actually, how long has it been since we have left. I somehow have the nagging feeling the time passed differently in the place we were. And what of the fungus spreading, any news on that?"> If Akos tells more, Quila will also elaborate on where and why they are where they are. <"So concerning that buried book. When we came back to the Buried City area we saw a wide swath of terrain covered in muck and gore and loads and loads of worms in all different sizes. Including a very very large one that Aman called the Avatar of Mak Thuum Ngatha. I have heard Gruv the librarian use the word avatar before sometime in one of our Sunday afternoon discussions about old Green Age cults I think. Anyhow, Aman accused me of causing that being to be able to pass very easily into Athas because of the aligned stars making it able to breach the Grey or something. Whatever may have been the cause, that old undead necromancer is toying with us a bit again it would seem. He did give us instructions that defeating the remains of his brother Myron and taking his mask and the grimoire of Mak Thuum Ngatha and letting them burn up in the Eternal Hearth could prevent further damage to this world. Currently, we are in the temple structure of the Buried City, literally one doorway away from a sarcophagus likely containing Myron."> Quila pauses for dramatic effect a bit. Then continues, <"We would love any guidance on how to best proceed.">
To the group she says "I have just been contacted by Akos and given him new information. Chat'cho is safe in Kurn and talked to him. Hold on."

For ease of posting, you figure that you spent three days of time within the Elemental Hearth.
Enemy's Slumber, 11th of Fortuary, Mid day
Current Location: Temple of Mak Thuum Ngatha
<"I wish I could provide more immediate guidance. About an hour ago, a trio of rocs bearing a half dozen silt covered Easterners landed and currently have Lord Oronis' full attention in the Old City. ">
Mental sigh here.
<"Gruv was very excited to for me to tell you that he has finished reading Myron's Journals. When you come back, he wishes to share dark broy and some deep conversation. And Quila? I want you to know that once I've had a chance to talk to Oronis, I will try and send a squad of Black Lances to help you at the ruins. I feel that the surprise visit today has the bulk of us on edge though and I do not wish to lower our haven's defenses. The show never ends, no?">

They took everything and returned some things. The same fate may befall the golden chariot. I've yet to see my book returned!"A three count later, from noticeably closer to Niachi [Elven: "Think of the components the old wizard could have fashioned from that fancy lazyleg wagon! I'd wager that we'd both see components cross our palms for our part in acquiring it!"]

- In calmer voice - "Nothing I can say about that book dear friend, I rather look for manageable utility items, and a book is indeed one of them" - pausing
- "But some items should be left in their place, perhaps these aim a purpose we don't know, like as a protective measure, or even as part of a higher elemental plot, and even if needed to be kept away due their defiling nature, I will barren this entrance, like if nothing was behind it"
- Looking kindly at Attilius - "Surely other items may be taken apart, and even if some of those need to be checked by the Tribunal, the effort should be paid back somehow, as they do"
[OOC: Do you refer to the book of the planes?]

He's referring to one of Myron's journals. They currently are safe at the library in New Kurn.

Akos answers. <"All I know is that this isn't the first time these delegates have visited Old Kurn. Oronis calls them Ebeans or Followers of Ebe. We're always told to honor them as if they were our own, but to keep quiet about our true nature. Oddly, our Lord & Master has been of lighter spirits and has come out of hiding since their arrival. I'm sure once these delegates leave that we'll be able to all sit down, regroup and focus once more.">
