While skipping leg day, Niachi ventures ideas to continue:
“Help me out here, did we ever test the acolytes’ reaction to us wearing their medallions?”
He looks to the direction of the nearest alcoves holding the acolytes.

- "No, are you trying to overcome their possible reaction by tricking them as you wear one of those?" - referring to the medallions with some disgust in her tone - "Once we leave here, if you are interested in religious topics, I'll be happy to nurture your interest in the ways of earth" - in a calmer and happier tone

There's the corridor that has the bodies before the dark chapel that once housed the three troll raaigs... You took the medallions from them, and they didn't do anything.
The others lay where you haven't walked yet, behind traps to the north-east... this leads to the room Quila was scoping out.

After waiting for just a few minutes more, the halfling, curious, begins to inch forward towards the door, listening raptly to Quila's description "Soooo... Anyone else want a few of those tusks? Cuz imma take a skull... and some tusks... and maybe a finger or ten..." He says, stopping just before he leaves the resting room

"These look like troll-kin with their tusks. The hands I am almost certain did not come from this lot. They look far too important a set of followers of the worm. Look at how they are displayed here in their regalia and weaponry. Even their disks are from a metal-like substance." Quila pauses, then uses one of the dust-covered tables to draw the runes and describe what she saw on the door leading to the 8 large skeletons. "Does that make sense to you arcanists?"
Quila ho-humms a little, then places her visor into the area adjacent to the south door of the room with the 8 corpses.

The magically trapped door has no room beyond it. Very similar to the trapped door on the first floor you avoided.

'Muiko approaches the table "I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, though perhaps my aged mastery of The Way can enlighten us?"
He casts Read Magic under the guise of Psionic Mimicry and Somatic Concealment (@bob Please roll well).
Umbris might note the brief sound of scribbles and motes of chalk dust as 'Muiko begins examining Quila's illustrations.
Assuming he can read it "Ah, it says [INSERT_TRANSLATED_TEXT_HERE]"

Niachi watches the Read Magic attempt, and says nothing more about trying on medallions. He packs his current weapon and takes out his 2H sword, squats down to rest it across his knees, keeping his hands free for the moment.

"Maybe we can try on wooden medallions once we enter that room. Fun times. Hopefully the skeletons do not animate. That lever in there must do something as the south door is no door at all. It seems to be of the same type of magical trap as our first room: it moves things through spacetime. Then again, we do not need to disturb that room, it does not contain what we are here for, now does it?" Quila muses aloud, her focus elsewhere.
She moves her visor to the area behind the door in the southwest corner of the room where the chariot is, down some 90 feet.

"Disturb not the slumber of the Orog devout or prepare to join their ranks." is translated from the transcribed symbols. 'Muiko is successful in hiding his incantations.
***
Moving her vision below a level once more:
Beyond the obviously secret door, Quila once again sees a high, vaulted ceiling supported by four carved stone columns. Then, as your eyes adjust to the light, you still can't believe what you see: a golden chariot standing amidst dozens of chests, boxes and jars, most of which are broken and rotted. Two alcoves in the east wall each contain a very ornate sarcophagus. Both are etched in runes that detect as magically trapped.
Due to where the secret entrance opens, you're initially positioned right by the southern most stone coffin. The other would be hard to see, but you are able to reposition your third eye in order to get a full grasp of the room. As you do this, you notice a strange pile of coiled serpents. They resemble cobras or dark silt snakes. Part of them seems to be covered with thin webbing. You think they're alive - perhaps sleeping?
One, two , three... definitely six serpentine heads are huddled together.
There is a door in the west side of the same wall this secret portal lies on. It is trapped, mechanically (still).

(OOC: thanks for the recap of that room, but I meant to move the third eye beyond the mechanically trapped door on the other corner from where the rough hallway led into this room through a secret door.)

Attilius briefly stops to catch his breath after a lunge set "Dose rusty swords sound like they'll break on the first hit against my shield. We'll collect them and the disks. I can melt them down and make fine weapons for us back at a propa forge."

Beyond this stone door a trap is detected. Below your third eye on the ground, the floor gives away a 10' deep pit filled with some rank, watery substance.
Past that, the arched tunnel opens into a large, vaulted chamber supported by four carved stone columns. An alabaster throne on a dais stands in the east end of the room. The throne itself is flanked by two large statues of coiled snakes with female heads.
Traps are detected. All magical, all about the floor here. Like most of the floor. Stepping on the floor does something.
To the south end of the room, a not so hidden, rough corridor ends at a wall. If you had to guess, you are travelling backwards through this compound. Perhaps the shaft bypassed a more traditional entrance? Most of the traps and triggers are on the opposite side of these doors.

"I didn't realize that you knew how to work metal, you've brains and brawn? Truly, this is good news friend!" 'Muiko says to Attilius before wheeling about to face Quila.
[Elven: "While it is fresh in my mind, in case you cannot reach us mentally, mention 'Piti Flies' if we're ever in a social situation that needs to pivot asocial, such as the one we experienced earlier. We can use it as a signal, since I've never found them outside the deserts of the southwest Tablelands. A nuisance from my childhood that I do not miss."
He turns to look around at everyone "If we know a conversation is going to turn to violence? We should use 'Piti Flies' as a signal to cease civility. If whoever is speaking says 'Piti Flies' then the rest of us will know to prepare for combat. It should provide us with some element of surprise but only if we're all aware" he gestures roundly counterclockwise with his index finger careful to not point directly at anyone with those last words.
