After helping with ropes and sails, HurK will take watch position at the bow with his water and food. [-29 PsP's]

Once the conversation has ended, Rizla will do what he can to help before retiring to the crows nest for privacy (the silty landscape gives him pause when he notices it) while he communes with his ancestors as is the way of the Nibenese. Anyone fluent in Dwarven might possibly hear him venting his anger and frustration at an unnamed father.

Assuming that he gets the requested water, Coden then heads belowdecks to join Lilim in the mindscape and siphon off the remainder of his psychic strength to keep the ship moving.

"The tuns are still below, Coden. We're plenty stocked from those skimmers we jacked... even with our big friend about." Abez motions to Hurk.
Connecting to the helm is refreshing as well.
Lilim is pleased to have company again.
"Where have you been, soldier? I much prefer your company to that dwarf, Haadan."
As Lilim and Coden catch up, the ship once again rises as you address the western winds and begin heading east over the silt.
Abez calls to the crew, "We'll go the long way around Waverly Isle... the east side. I don't want to get too close this time and repeatin' the route might not be smart if we're bein' watched or followed. Not to mention the wind is blowing that way. Might as well benefit from it."

Coden's gratified for the chance to replenish his body's reserves of water. Spending the morning baking on a hot rock like a tortilla was not great for the kidneys.
"Hello again, Lilim," he says inside the mindscape. "Just out and about doing errands. Has anyone ever described the city of Nibenay to you before? It's a vast city over hundreds of bubbling springs. The buildings are all carved from stone with reliefs of faces on them - sometimes happy, sometimes angry, sometimes leering." Coden pauses in his description in case Lilim's heard of Nibenay before and this is boring her.

"I am familiar with Nibenay, I had reason to visit their schools of the mind during my living days. The air was so... wet there." Her hair curls slightly at the thought. "What did you do there? It seems so far from the silt and my heart."

The others man the ship. Rounding about the east side of the island of Waverly, said to be haunted, you catch a glimpse of far away ruins and walls in the distance... as well as scrub and tall coniferous trees. Mainly shadows in the afternoon sun. Abez makes the sign of the evil eye as you pass.
Some debate as to whether you wish to continue through the night is made... you probably won't make it to Balic this evening. Your captain advises following the north part of the estuary. You'll most likely make it to the other ruins you once saw on shore by nightfall.

"Abez, why would we want to stop at the ruins instead of going to Balic through the night?" HurK asks
"I rather drop off our passengers and then continue on in the cover of night."

"It's the sailing during the night I'm not super comfortable with to be honest." Remarks Abez. "I learned the bulk of my navigation on skimmers and sticking to the trails. Caym was better at the occasional night run, he'd let Son'ja play with Lilim and he'd take the helm. I'll keep going if you want, but I don't want to ground the Gambit while passing the giant's mounts at the mouth of the estuary."

"Well... I guess. But you best have those light things out front an' back while we travel. Some of yeh, get some rest. Laahk. Once it gets dark proper, take over for Coden, eh? 'Singers. Let Drusso and La'yor do some work. We might need to pick up a few hands in town, whether ya wanna or not." Abez is sounding more like a Captain and less like a mate. It fits him.

(I have literally no idea why we were in a disused sewer passageway fighting dream-spiders and stealing urns, just that it has something to do with psurlons somehow.)
"I didn't have much opportunity to experience the humidity. Much of the time was spent on a rooftop, getting entirely too much sun."

OOC: this is the last week of work at the census, absolutely nuts. Then I need to find a job. I'm dealing with an agonizing frozen shoulder and horrible dreams/insomnia etc etc. Very few check-ins for next few days..
As Coden comes belowdecks, Laakh nods and agrees to take the next shift. He refills from the water supply and quietly heads above after adjusting his webbing. He makes sure his head is covered with it. He motions to Hurk and with humility, publicly apologizes for his lack of control and any misunderstandings, offering his open hand. But with jaw set, firm in his stance that the stolen items are quite the shitshow, not to be uncovered or even held in thought. With no recent pings of being observed, Laakh is convinced the Draaji and Shadow Wives have ramped up their espionage game to the point where the scrying is above his pay grade. He gives a rundown of the powers of the cilops, the mascot of Nibenay.
For the next leg of the journey, he offers to helm with Lilim, pole the shallows, learn the ropes of sailing, and scan with his powers. He is quiet, brooding. He makes sure the departing members get their share of silver and promises to keep them safe in his mind's eye.
Bob, feel free to NPC me for the good of the party. I'll be back when I can focus.

I'm dealing with an agonizing frozen shoulder and horrible dreams/insomnia etc etc. Very few check-ins for next few days.. [Damn Alex, hope your shoulder feels better man! And find a job quickly too!] He motions to Hurk and with humility, publicly apologizes for his lack of control and any misunderstandings, offering his open hand. He gives a rundown of the powers of the cilops, the mascot of Nibenay.. HurK takes his arm and reciprocates a warriors handshake. "Keeping the webbing around you may be stopping the Ssurlons and necromancer using their sight powers on you too. As touchy as this 'urn' situation is, I'm glad we at least found a temporary solution to them spying upon you and us..."

There is the issue of it sticking to other stuff though. Already, a light haze of silt sticks to the webs. This is a temporary solution at best (unless you know of where more dream spiders nest.)
You continue on into the evening. Piloting around the Dragon's Palate is a bit rough. The mountainous isle rising to the left and the coast to the right makes you feel a tad claustrophobic. Over the wind, you hear the low rhythmic chants and drummings of giants. Different than Ledo's chant. More feral, animalistic, and of course, distant. Visibility is short too as it gets darker. Thankfully the moons are bright enough to gather shadows and you advance. Abez is able to sight the stars and keep a direct course. Once past the Palate, you can get a bit more speed going.
But it's eerie in the night. You can swear that things live out there in the gritty, dusty dark. It is easy to understand why Abez dislikes the evening travel.
Perhaps around 11 in the evening, Abez calls out for both lights to the front of the ship.
"We're close to the docks. Someone give me four silver coins for the dockmaster. He ain't gonna be happy we're here this late."
He seems to know the route well, as after he mentioned it, you can make out lights from Balic's harbor rising out of the haze.
