They accept the help warily and quietly. Finally, the whip carrying one states quietly, "We'll have more later. Thank you."

Mak communicates the results of his divinations and waits for Coden to decide what to do next.

"Had some drama with a half-breed Tarek my first week here in town, some knuckle-dragging big shot. The part of town where you dress like this (indicating the new finery) you don't walk out. But halfbreeds and purebreds don't mix. Might be nothing to chase..."

(( Sorry, my job required me to set up a new computer for security reasons, and I’m still getting evrything back into action. ))
Coden says, “Not all family members are cremated, but most are. Not enough burial space for everyone.”
He listens intently as the corpses describe the circumstances of their murder, clearly a bit unnerved.
Finally he says, “A metal rod... an unusual implement. Not many people have access to such a... valuable weapon.”

((no problem Jesse)) [Ok are we done with questioning? is there anymore we can ask them, such as "what was spoken by them and their attackers 2 minutes before and during their death?"
If we're out of questioning spells, what's the next move? Are we going to start casing Balic for this Tarek and the steel rod bearer?]

I'm out of divinations with the dead for the day. Once they are cremated I can read their ashes and experience the last 7 minutes of their life.

Laakh slips back into his PsyOps mode with current mixed company:
"Reading their ashes sounds the best way to finish investigations as we are able. Maybe after I finish my current Scope Of Action I will revisit chasing down criminal halfbreeds, and I get how that might help clear your name, Coden."

"How much will you need? I may be able to surreptitiously gain access to some of the ashes once they are cremated, but... probably not their entire urns."

"How much will you need? I may be able to surreptitiously gain access to some of the ashes once they are cremated, but... probably not their entire urns." (OoC: Bob will have to make this call, the spell says I need to cast it over a pile of ash. It's not clear as to whether I need the entire pile or just some of it. If we need all of it, I'd need about 10 minutes with one of the urns.)

Any ash that's a pile will be affected. I'm okay with this being used on an unopened urn as long as ash is present in such form.

[Trying to move things along: Everyone good with watching the body be cremated then attend the urn placing ceremony where Mak can cast his ash reading spell?]

[Sounds good to me, then we need to put these clues together and figure out who the killers were and how to find them.]

[Sounds good to me, then we need to put these clues together and figure out who the killers were and how to find them.] [With Laakh and Khuv's Information gathering skill coupled with our +2 smarty pants Joz'hal skull, that shouldn't be too difficult.]

[Closing thread.] I have some in life drama to deal with. I may or may not get a post in tonight. If not, there will be one early tomorrow, promise.
