You leave the craggy giant's isle in the distance as the hazy red sun climbs to it's throne in the sky. The ship is rather full. Mak notices the brother and sister elves mumbling as they rig the sails and man the ship. Sadly, it's all in elf speak... and not in the trade tongue. Laahk is below decks, spurring Lilim the helm ever onward. Bankhuv naps in the crow's nest.
Hurk is above deck. Druuso mans the rudder (kind of). Abez directs and occasionally dips below decks. Pallia and Victory continue their talks near Abez... and the pterrax ranges and comes back, on-and-off.
The wind isn't as kind today either. It's *almost* the right direction. Imagine it's like a car with a flat or bad alignment though. You keep pulling to the right, when you need to be keeping to the north shore (the left).
"We should make it there by sundown, if we're lucky." Abez states to both no one and everyone as he stares as well as he can into the dusty silt.
After perhaps an hour or two of travel, a loud CRASH and CLATTER is heard below decks.
Laahk is unaware, as he's in the dreamscape of Lilim's room.

HurK sticks his head through the entryway, letting his eyes accustom to the darkness "You good Laakh?"

Pallia is enjoying her dialog with Victory but she's up on her feet (somewhat slower than the warrior) when the crash is heard, and after a momentary hesitation with a glance to Abez, she rushes off after him.

The remaining space in the hold is taken up by a gigantic dark spider. Laahk, in trance, is unaware as he sits to the right of the mass.
Well, mostly spider. The head is that of a twisted human. On it's back? A mass of sticky webs with a bunch of baseball-sized masses stuck to the outside.
A dream spider.
It speaks as it crouches and tenses. "Miss-take coming here. Leaves-s me be. Juss-t needs time."

Meanwhile, Kri-cht saws about his waist... hoping to escape. He can hear this.

Mak sticks his head below deck with a broad smile and inquisitive sparkle in his eye. "How much time do you need, uhh... Spider-thing?", he calls out to their new guest.
Looking around to the others he says, "If we had a mishap on a port, we'd appreciate a safe chance to try again. I think we can give the spider this if it remains peaceful."

Kri-kcht wriggles as much as possible and saws/cuts with his chatkcha. Hearing the talk of other intelligent beings, he decides to call for help. Whatever the outcome there will be a kill or food or companions.
(-clicking sound-) "@#¤° HEL' !! Anyone? @#*°¤"
He is still trying to find out where he is and on what and who the other voices belong too.

Looking around to the others he says, "If we had a mishap on a port, we'd appreciate a safe chance to try again. I think we can give the spider this if it remains peaceful."The half giant grinds his teeth in anger as he says to the group "Two ov' these CUNTS killed ma boy... I gave 'em the chance for parlay but they just attacked us anyway..."(-clicking sound-) "@#¤° HEL' !! Anyone? @#*°¤" HurK turns his full attention to the spider as he slowly pulls one of his Zerka's attached to a coil of giant hair rope out, spittle and hate dripping from every other word "HEY FUCK FACE! LET THAT 'KREEN GO AND WE WON'T END YOU RIGHT 'ERE RIGHT NOW..."The angry psionicist pulls at his core's Nexus, feeling for the strands of future time and possibilities... [Probability manipulation 16, rolled 10 (success) -10 PsP's]

At HurK's frothy spittle explosion, Victory decides that Bookslave is the bigger threat here and turns his back to the dream spider. Pointing a finger at HurK with a stern look on his face "Calm your shit Bookslave!".
Initiative roll 3
Spinning backfist to the Dream spider's face
10 on the die, modified 18, hits AC -2
Left jab again to its human face
1 on the die, modified 9, hits AC 7
Succession of 5 combos to the dream spider's face
8 on the die, modified 16, hits AC 0 4 on the die, modified 12, hits AC 4 13 on the die, modified 21, hits AC-5 20 on the die, modified 28, hits AC-12 16 on the die, modified 24, hits AC-8
Each hit of the above attacks does 10 (2+Str 1+Proficiency 7) damage and has a 10% KO chance, if all 7 hit that's 70 damage and a 70% chance of Unconsciousness (If Dream spider's can go unconscious, the ko chance on the roll site was 9%)
At the first sign of death/unconsciousness (assuming that one if not both will occur in rapid succession), Victory will move to assist the kreen before turning to say to HurK "I don't want that to be you, stay calm"

Well.
You see something quite amazing, as the mul manages to get the drop on the arachnid. KO! Normally, such a creature would be able to react and evade after the first of such shots - but is knocked out in the first sucker punch. [Init 4. 6 rolled on the d100 vs KO.]
Victory can imagine the cheers of the crowd as the spider crumples. It still lives however. [OOC: I know in the past I've shown kills due to excessive punching damage. That was in error, although I may occasionally call a death here-and-there.]
Kri-kcht begins to remove more and more of the webbing. He will find that all of his equipment carried was left and bundled with him.
Some of the baseball-shaped globes move slightly upon closer examination.
The kreen finds himself in the hold of a ship or caravan. A man sits lotus pose before a dark obsidian orb a-top a mess of silken pillows. Tuns, stores and equipment line the outside rim of the room.
There might be an issue removing such a large, unconscious arachnid. It is not going to fit through the holds door beyond the stairs.

I should state that the following are Victory's intentions, in case others have actions they would like to take. Next action Victory gets, he's decapitating the Dream Spider if possible.
While it is unconscious, Victory will take the gythka off his back and place it at the back of the spider's neck and lean on it. If this thing is what he thinks it is, it is dinner.
17 on the die, modified 19 (IDK if there are magic bonuses for it or not), hits AC -3
Are there rules for coup de grace in 2e?
Further questions include:
Do Dream Spiders taste like crab?
Are there any hallucinogenic effects of eating Dream Spiders?
How long will this thing feed us for?
These questions and more on the next-- Victory's Initiative!

Well, if another PC has actions? Roll me init first. Add weapon speed. If you beat everyone else, the coup de grace will be successful.

...At the first sign of death/unconsciousness (assuming that one if not both will occur in rapid succession), Victory will move to assist the kreen before turning to say to HurK "I don't want that to be you, stay calm" The half giant whispers "It won't..." as he locks eyes on the Mul [Going to try the Judge Anderson method][Initiative rolled:3] The psion fixates his sight on Victory's temple [Contact 22, rolled 15 = success; -8 PSPs] I should state that the following are Victory's intentions, in case others have actions they would like to take. Next action Victory gets, he's decapitating the Dream Spider if possible. While it is unconscious, Victory will take the gythka off his back... The half giant bores mentally into the Mul's mind like a large bone drill he once saw an armorer use to drill into leather [Id Insinuation 18, rolled a 9 = success. rolled a 4 for number of stunned rounds; -6 PsP's] Within the mindscape realm, HurK recreates the Gambit sailing on the sea of silt with Victory all alone on the bow. As Victory turns around to see where everyone is and how he suddenly got on the deck, 8 huge overly massive tentacles suddenly burst forth all around the ship and wrap it up in it's gigantic grasp. The ship lurches to one side as the several tonned tentacles begin to easily pull the ship under the silt. Panic sets in immediately as there is nowhere for the Mul to run. The silt reaches his chest as the hyperventilating Mul tries frantically to swim for air and safety. As the silt reaches his chin, the sinking ship stops and all becomes deathly quiet. 10 yards off the port side of the ship the massive head of HurK surfaces attached to what seems to be a silt horrors body. He shakes the silt off his face and hair as he bellows out "TWO THINGS Victory: ONE! Call me a bookslave again and I'll toss you into the silt myself. TWO! We leave the phase spider unharmed for now. We discuss AS A GROUP what to do with it next, Agreed?"-----------------As this is happening mentally, HurK says out loud "Mak, I'm psionically trying to stop him from beheading the unconscious Spider. I hope he agrees..."
