Kri-kcht pulls his head back from the hole.

(Rolled a 12, hits AC 1)
"How about that spell, Mak?"
(Holding off on pulling for a bit.)

It calms down, but there's a high pitched noise or buzz. Much like tinnitus, sitting on the edge of your ear drums. Kri-kcht can feel it slightly vibrate his antennae. Laahk (as tuned in as he is) can see a slight blurring, as if the entire structure were vibrating ever so slightly. Like a tuning fork struck to an E flat. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z-Ej6KNYFYKalak's headless corpse still remains within the ruin.

Mak will go outside of the tower and sit on the natural earth. Pouring out a handful of the ash of Nibenay's son he seeks the wisdom and guidance of the ancients.
((Mak casts Divination, Lv.4 spell, 69% chance of success))
"How does the orrery function and what is the best method of accessing the arcane magics contained within it's rods?"

Ten minutes pass as Mak intones his spell. The noise does not quiet within this span of time.
"How does the orrery function and what is the best method of accessing the arcane magics contained within it's rods?"
A crazed voice replies in Mak's head, unheard of by the others.
"It hardly functions at all any more! It protects the world from cocooned nightmares. Removing any but the weakest connection will cause doom & death of a like the world has not seen since the genocides. Only Time may heal that was wrought by the Traitor of Life, unless Entropy prevails."
Cue insane laughter of the elemental lord variety. It soon fades, leaving the halfling with his thoughts.

Laakh keeps All Round Infravision going as he nervously pays attention to the structure.
"Kleys the Structure is Vibrating! Leave it be! We should grab Kalak's corpse and let experts know about this artifact."

- This trembling are unnatural, we should go. The SotL will care about it, I do not feel comfortable with these shakings and noises coming from the building - keeping a bit unnerved at this point

Kri-kcht makes sure that he is first to leave. No use for tracking if everything is trampled by the rest.

So you move on. It isn't like these ruins are going anywhere... you feel that there's plenty of danger about to discourage most but the hardiest explorers.
Khuv simply opens a wormhole to the top of the chasm to ensure a safe, quick exploration.
It takes a good part of the rest of the afternoon to find what you are looking for. The kreen literally runs into something unseen within sight of the edge after walking in broad sweeping motions among the star-shaped white sand dunes. There are no evident tracks, grooves or flattened scenery (which is slightly odd, but not too much given the large amounts of psionics and magics at Dote & Co.'s disposal when he lived). It is also still very windy and loud.
You feel about and figure that something invisible covers the size of a single kank wagon. The frame is on the east side of a small star dune. Tell me how you wish to approach further.

A small, worn, covered single kank style wagon is revealed. Painted white over agafari wood frame, it seems whole and usable. Obviously there is no mount. Kri-kcht remembers that Dote Mal once had it pulled by an undead crystal spider. The kreen had happened upon those remains during his first visit to the Buried City with his old friends. There's a chance the wagon was simply magicked here as there are no tracks to be seen (or perhaps it had been resting here for a greater amount of time than he was accustomed to tracking). A door in the back is tied with giant hair rope in an intricate knot. A very obvious rune is painted on the face of the door itself.

HurK looks around, under and above the wagon, making sure to not touch it while checking it out in detail.
