Niachi folds and unfolds his spine to sheath the dragon's paw and gets down on his hands and knees. Or rather, he is a tripod with his forearm-axed hand out in front.

"Can you ask Erfurth if the quality of light will change as we continue, if he, or the vessel can will it to change? tell him I prefer a shade brighter to best compliment our tactical options. Pure darkness limits my options, but not if we need to dance (waving his new weapon) And please detail what he knows of the Strange Ones' capabilities. If he was expired by a single melee blow, or were more unconventional attacks used?"

- Eslyk nods at HurK - "I understand but so we can learn some of his language, and he can learn ours, not just translating, that's what I meant" - then looking at Quila - "I can move ahead, if you give me all some space, I could scout ahead to gather some information"

"Be my guest, go ahead," Quila defers to Eslyk, "Erfurth we might run into communicative difficulties in some time when my translation assistance comes to a stop. We can do that again in some time. But are there other ways for us to communicate, possibly via the Seed's capabilities or by our minds being in contact with eachother?"

Hearing Niachi's suggestions and question, Quila relays them to the halfling as well.

Catching the artifact with a blurry underhand snap, Niachi exhales and draws a deep breath, allowing 48 of his 49 PSPs into the Psurlonic amulet to charge it to 24 and holding it to the group in his open palm.

"Done. It can hold another increment if someone can spare a bit more."

- Eslyk's head swirls with the idea of such opportunity to learn from the past and, even without finding any trap, she sharpens her ears, ahead of the party

"I can fuel your crystal as well, though not much" Ande volunteers to HurK without removing her attention from the hallway with the blood trail that Eslyk has pointed out.  

She will not hesitate to retake her position in the marching order reminding Chat'cho <Thri-Kreen> "I consent to you perching on me so long as you do not interfere with my archery" and keeping a bow at the ready.

The ancient halfling simply shakes his head in regards to the light question.

"The Seed needs to rest. In an emergency I can open an exit from the ocular room... but for any other functions?" He shakes his head no. "But come on, follow me!"

This wee one seems to have left the "sads" behind him. I will take this moment to address that the heal from the prior postings had no noticeable effect. But the Messenger or Seed is not a small creature for sure.

He enters the membranous 'door' in between the four crystal cages and enters a room similar in size to the room you just left, just rounder. In the center, an abnormally large heart beats in a circular pit, with ventricles, veins and strange plant-like connections trailing off into the floor and even trailing up into the low ceiling. The beating organ is the size of an adult human male, and lies in a pool of metallic liquid, much like liquid mercury. A few gems, the size of a halfling's fist float in the pool as well. It smells of rose and lilac here, not the smells you attribute to an open organ.

The small bug weapon is here as well and scuttles up to it's tiny master, or friend? Attaching to his right forcep, he pets it with his opposite hand briefly before leaving this chamber through another membranous 'door' directly across from the one he entered.

The half giant gives a look of "that's impressive" to everything seen in the heart room but focuses on moving to the next room and ultimately making sure there are no more threats aboard.

- Eslyk follows him, looking everything as she goes by, observing how Elruf opens the membranous gates to pass through - "So many questions and yet no way to communicate with him..." - murmured to herself as she continues

[Quila Oris (John M.)]

Quila will follow HurK and Eslyk trailing after the halfling.
She will repeat to Erfurth the expected trouble in communication and ask again if he knows or has a solution for that.

She will be nimble on her feet, on the lookout for any danger, and has her staff ready.

Ande will do her best to stay low so Chat'cho doesn't bump her head while keeping her bow pointed forward.  She will keep her place in formation unless something prevents her.

Coden ducks his head and makes his way into the heart chamber, where he pauses to take in the lines and paths of the system.

"So it is... this entire structure is an organism? Hmm."

"Made to travel, to survive high in the sky, and to carry its... family, I suppose?"

"I have a much stronger reticence about damaging or removing anything from in here. What went wrong that precipitated the crash?"

[DM Bob]

A wee joyful voice calls out in ancient halfling, "Oh salvation! I acted in time!" Followed by crying, perhaps of joy. But definitely accented in half sorrow.

You enter to see a mirror of the room that contained the brains in jars.

Except no brains in jars. One exit to the left, another to the right, not including the one you came from. There is also a small pool in the center of the chamber, with some sort of liquid inside.
