Quila keeps her eyes on the place the disease was detected and will only rest when she’s sure she’s been to all rooms. That includes the heart chamber, the second crew storage pod room, and of course the Oculus. By now, for her sake and sanity, she wants to be sure Erfurth isn’t some walking ticking time bomb too.

[Niachi]

Niachi escorts Quila along with Coden. He practices what looks like a drill of switching between his weapons and bare hands, as if he’s trying to beat a time between each option. As they reach the Oculus, he will have open hands, and a steel arrow pulled halfway from its quiver.

He guestimates that his Protection from Evil Spell has at least 5 combat cycles (rounds) in duration.

"I think we'd best get out of here while we can, and then we need to come back once we know how to enter and exit, and thoroughly check the ship," suggests Coden. "It could spread anywhere.. especially since so many of the elements of the craft and its tools seem... alive."

The elf shifts on his knees and hand, uneasy with thoughts of intelligent slime.

"20 crew. We might at least locate them? And return better prepared to deal with this other-world fuckery. "

Yes, it is the same disease type.

The disease/mold/symbiotic-alien growth cancer is burnt out of *one* such chamber with Hurk's power.

Two more pods remain contaminated. You probably want to take care of those before considering raising the rest (not that you have that many raise deads ready for this day without rest).

The remaining ancient halflings are in the pods on the opposite side of the Seed (brains intact).

Eslyk does not sense any immediate danger to her person and her immediate fears seem unfounded. But it seems a proper reaction.

Due to the proficiency use and power activations, 3 more rounds have passed.

"ALLRIGHT Eslyk, let me have a look..." HurK will put his palm on her head while looking for any malady to heal with his Cell Adjustment power.

Even if he doesn't find anything he will pretend to heal her then say with a reassuring smile "You've got nothing to worry about, all clean!" (HurK attempts to use theatrics and psychology to mend her emotions...)

My assumption is that you'll be reentering the Oculus room to speak with the ship and it's halfling symbiote?

Or is there anything else you wish to investigate in this room, with the gore and jar brains?

Hurk looks at the jars a bit then snaps his fingers loudly "I think I know why those Strange bat creatures were harvesting the brains: They use them to reproduce! The dead one we found literally had a brain for a head. They Probably put something inside the brains and then a body starts to grow from it." he shrugs "Just a guess for now until we can do more research. "
