Enemy's Slumber, 6th of Dominary - Early Morning
Current Locations: Kreen Empire, Nirik-Tohr
The crimson sun once again rises in the east. The air is drier, no clouds this morning... well, above you that is. A light fog - a rarity for those of the Tablelands to see, covers the swathes of tall grass that carpet the plains. Large insects lazily fly north high above you; the drone of smaller cousins all about. You think it'll be a hot one, as the mist is already getting thinner and thinner as the minutes pass.
The tohr shaman have cleansed your mounts of disease already and have begun gathering to tell you what they have learned.
Mushrooms, the same color as the spores you encountered, have begun popping up in patches along the route of the detected disease. Oddly enough, they have not detected as poison to the same earth shamen... making them wonder if they truly are as malignant a threat as first surmised.
Kank honey is passed about by the kreen, as well as water that has been verified as safe. It seems that they are reigning in the day's ritual hunt and relying upon their stores today, likely at J'lact's direction.

Niachi rises a bit before dawn, limbers up with some 2H sword practice on a patch of open ground without any shrooms. He is pleased that the templars are passing his Elven ways of testing. They react well to strong emotions among the team. They are loyal to each other and to Kurn. They are proud, righty so, of their abilities and will defend their actions with vigor. Even if their ways are brash, loud, and not at all competent for proper stealth work. Leave that to the professional. A whooosh as his sword whirls above his head to parry and feint in the warming air.
As Coden wakes, he will wordlessly invite him to sparring practice, as a spear is excellent counter to his heavy slashing and precisely timed strikes. He will clearly show that he is using the flat of the blade for any practice strikes that land. After the workout, he joins for breakfast and debriefing. Even while huffing with exertion, no sweat breaks his brow. Today might be the day he finds a Familiar.

Once her promised watch is completed (and Quila had the chance to wake and meditate for spells), Ande would approach Quila "I would greatly appreciate a Nap" then turning to face Niachi <Elven> "May I bother you for a brief watch friend?"
After her Nap (and meditating for spells) Ande would approach the party "Shall we go investigate the blast zone again? This time, as a team?" she nods vigorously as she looks about

After waking up Quila prays to Oronis, sitting on her knees, in just a bare minimum of clothes, looking eastward. After the prayer and a short meditation she will cast a Nap on Ande and whomever else that can benefit (like HurK) before strapping on her Kurn Black Lances armor again over some snug fitting clothes.
During the Nap, Quila will utilize Snarf’s again to pinpoint her inner compas. After this she quietly drinks some kank honey, rejuvenating her psionic reservoir some.
“Ande, let us first be informed by Lyk-Vir and J’lact about their divinations before we embark.”
(OOC: Power Manipulation 7 on 14 for Know Direction rolled 1, so active for a full day. PsPs spent: 6, will be regained during waiting.)

Ande will settle in next to Quila and wait for word from the elders of Nirik. While waiting, she will tune in on the blast zone from the altitude she was at when the blast occurred.
Clairvoyance rolled a 15, needing a 16 or less (OOC: Is that a Power Score? Wis of 17, check is Wis-4 and she gets the +3 from 1/2 levels on the house rule yes?) PSPs -15 97/112 Initial cost plus two rounds maintenance
Ande will quietly observe the blast zone with extra attention given in the misty morning sun.
Observation rolled a 3 needing under 17
She won't spend too much time, no more than a round or two unless there's activity warranting extra attention. Otherwise, she waits patiently for the local news.

Niachi is now seen with a xerichou on his shoulder, a winged worm-like creature that is usually found in flocks. This one must have been separated or a lone survivor of theirs and has taken to the shadowed elf.
J'lact and Lyk-Vyr are easily found. Feel free to posit your questions.

Noticing that J'lact and Lyk-Vyr are within eyesight, she would approach respectfully and in her best Thri-Kreen "Hello, and good morning! I trust the strange light and sound last night wasn't too disturbing to Tohr-Nirik? Is there anything you can tell us of the mushrooms? I have heard that they don't detect as poison, do they detect as life?"
She would wait as others asked their questions too.

Quila notes the exchanges and behavior of her companions in response to the animal on Niachi's shoulder. "It does unfortunately look in a way that reminds me of psurlon and strange talk a bit. Given that it's your companion, at least it seems that way, you can vouch for it?"
She will nibble on some nuts or other food there's still around while listening to the tale of the shrooms.
"It would seem we will have to wait on more information from our leader as well. In the meantime we can go investigate both the crash zones. Ande and the mobal elf's, and then the Messenger again to check up on our friends. I need not remind you all we need to still put some brains back in bodies?"
