Chat'cho coos softly, knitting her fingers together as her smaller size is noticed for the first time by someone other than Ande. She shifts her weight around a little, trying to get used to her new much lesser weight.
"You *lease mme *y showing such knowledge oxh mmy tongue. Indeed, I haxhe *een granted a second si *eriod *y your klik, which I intend to use to rectixhy mmy earlier xhailure to claimm a mmate. You mmay *ass mmy immense gratitude to the tek-hoz, Oronis."
She bows her head, swaying from side to side slowly.
------------
"You please me by showing such knowledge of my tongue. Indeed, I have been granted a second growth period by your teacher, which I intend to use to rectify my earlier failure to claim a mate. You may pass my immense gratitude to the packleader, Oronis."

Attilius narrows his eyes at Coden but finally nods to him in some kind of silent agreement.

- Skrye was going to reply to Attilius when she saw the human Kurnan templaress, nodding her head a couple of times, as she chirps happily - "Quila friend! Yes, the whispers of the sands in your words hped me trespass the gates of Kurn like dust in the desert. Yes, I was able to make it, thank you, it looks so different to Celik!" - without getting closer to the tigone nearby her. Skrye turns her eyes to the big humanoid - "I am pleased you have good humour big Attilius, I'm Skrye, taletaler and soilwriter"

Skrye turns her eyes to the big humanoid - "I am pleased you have good humour big Attilius, I'm Skrye, taletaler and soilwriter" he shrugs to her with a smile "It comes and goes dependin' on the day. Wellmet Skrye." he holds out his index finger for her to shake.

There was no need to be inside that day, as the winds were weak and the Sun yet to climb to any great height. Syndic, the older squad leader of the Black Lances approaches as you greet each other. He calls out.
"Hoy! Coden; Quila! Rumor has it you may be heading out to the north and west to the dark city ruins... I have been instructed by the Tribunal to provide escort within it's sight. If you so need it, of course."

Coden waits for Syndic to catch up and says, "I won't say no to the Black Lances! It would certainly make me feel safer about our trip."

He smirks and barks a quick laugh.
"You kept the crew in piece that night out west... not one casualty, and it's rare that the old man sets out a war party while taking point. Tell me, when do you see yourself heading out? I can have a dozen outriders equipped as early as tomorrow; the sooner is the better for us as we can return to patrol the northern settlements on the way back. Been some raids lately, and I'd like to get a turn in before the grapes are harvested to press this season."

Niachi rethinks his prejudice of the Tari people, at least to accept one sturdy enough for the overland trek from Celik, a place he would very much like to see someday. He cracks a welcoming smile to Skrye.
As the group continues introductions, he notes the smaller size of their revered druid. Perhaps a modification for easier travel underground? To Syndic, he gives the appropriate ranked acknowledgement. The captain's addition removes a potentially sticky point of who will give orders: The Templars? The Balican? Himself?
"I think the quickest departure is best. And are we agreed on these ruins, or some other destination?"
[Telepathy to his xerichou: Do you have a name?]

“Captain Syndic, so good to see you” Quila greets, “We will happily make use of the escort overland. What raids have there been in the North? Is it halflings or raiders from the Glowing Plains?”
To the others she says, “If anyone knows some details about what we’re riding towards now is the time to speak up. Given our earliest departure is tomorrow morning, I’m also gonna consult Gruv and his team what we know about those ruins.”
Quila pats her tagster on his back and pulls off some dirt from its coat.

The worm-like xerichou struggles to understand you though the empathic bond as it cocks it's toothed and tusked head whilst flapping in the air before you. After a three count it squints and mentally responds.
"Kahw-rah. Kahw-rah. KAHW-RAH."
Nodding, it lands on your shoulder with its four bottom feet and wraps it's tail lightly about your neck.

"Usually elven tribes, but occasionally other raider types. The most common elves we encounter are dressed as the dead, ghost paint and the whole bit. If you agree that leaving on the morrow is fine, meet us outside Fort Protector's gates let's say an hour after sun up?"
