The small stone box in the sandy room has a thin lid that is now propped to the side. Five red glazed amphorae sit filling the box almost completely... there is a space for one that is missing. Quila is quick to notice that these five containers match the one she had gotten in New Kurn (and now carries). Upon closer inspection, it looks that a slim tome of black leather is resting underneath the mini jugs. Easy to miss, the original graverobber must have been in a hurry to leave this place. Hopefully their friends did not perish at the sandy hands you just defeated.
The room itself only extends 10 feet in.
No secret doors are found either, about the torture/audience chamber.

"Oooh, a book!" 'Muiko would examine the tome carefully before opening it in an attempt to read the contents. If he can't, he turns to Skrye "Please decipher this if you can"

"CHECK IT FOR TRAPS!" Attilius belts out as he QUICKLY moves to the opposite end of the room.

Chat'cho is still where she was when the fight ended, trying to use fistfuls of sand from the defeated sand-women to scrub the dust off of her Gythka. She does not appear to be paying much attention to what the others are doing. "...Stu*id...thing...comme on, work..."

- "I can try but if people is eager to find them for me I don't mind" - cheeky giggling as she approaches the place where the book is, looking and checking without touching anything. After a few moments, and in a normal tone of voice - "I can't find any, but remember that even when I know a bit of many things, I don't specialise in specifics.." - moving away from it and back
[OOC: Find traps 92% out of 50%, failure]

As the half giant cleans his weapons he says in a troubled tone "Uh guys? We got a problem... My axe isn't turning invisible even after I cleaned the dust off it." he holds up his plainly visible wooden axe. "Best to check your own magical gear too."

Nothing has changed after the dust is wiped off. At least presently. Figure you have a fifty-fifty chance that this either wears off...
...or the thief that scored the other amphorae in the past took a different exit or had the container wrapped in a bag or the like.
Coden's short sword, once owned by Odrella the Lawbringer of Bodach, has remained sheathed and has been spared the same fate the other's weapons, armor and items have suffered.
No traps are triggered as you investigate the other five containers. The book does not appear to hold any trap either. For Niachi's magical detection shows that the containers radiate magic, protective wards & enchantment... while the book does not show *any* dweomer.
Remove curse does not return the magic to the gythka.

Chat'cho tries casting a Remove Curse spell on her sapped magical item, to see if that works any better.

Chat'cho, nearing her wits' end, decides to try carrying her stricken item back through the dust tunnel the way she came.

Well, the dust kicks up once again and there seems to be no change in her weapon's status upon the reversed transversal.

Chat'cho seems rather frustrated at this. First, she scoops up several handfuls of this dust and stuffs it into one of the bags she has with her that's empty of any other items. Chat'cho expends another 1st-level spell slot to cast Detect Magic, for two reasons. First, she'd like to see if it's the dust or the hallway, or perhaps the Dust Devils, that have magical properties, and second, she'd like to see if the Gythka of Past and Present is completely mundane now or is simply having its properties suppressed.

Niachi would take a look at the book's cover, wondering if it resembles any book or object he's seen before, in the Kurn library or anywhere. to 'Muiko:
"Are you willing to open it?"
He takes out his continual light stone and peeks at scrollcase containing his Cone of Cold scroll, looking for changes in their auras and any change in the light emitted from the stone.

Coden notes that his teammates seem agitated over the effect of the dust. He focuses his clairsentient powers to glance at everyone's gear.
(Manifesting See Magic. Scored a 2, so he can see if the affected weapons and armor are now non-magical, or if they still have magic and it's just suppressed.)

Coden believes that he picks up a faint potential magic with the objects observed. How long it may take for the potential to be realized? Unknown.

The slim tome looks to be a journal, possibly from a series. Cramped spidery handwriting in an archaic (but readable) common states that the title is: Journeys of the Elements. Under that in a smaller scrawl, perhaps a subtitle is writ: That I had no choice, the Warbringer demanded, I obeyed. Below that, a symbol akin to that for summoning is inscribed.
