Silt Fight!

'Muiko responds to the angry Sygra by laughing hard enough to drop invisibility.  Everyone gets a view of 'Muiko's horror movie interpretation of Ande, laughing eerily reminiscent to the cackling some of the party has witnessed Ande do "Did you see the look on that kank riding Sygra's face?!"

'Muiko will also drop back into his natural form and heal for 6 hit points.  I imagine he unironically emerges from Ande's form like a chrysalis that fades to aether as it falls away in full view of the kreen (and everyone else).

"I am pleased by their departure too friend" 'Muiko replies to Skrye, still smiling in his voice.  "Why don't we see what the gift is?" he says as he looks at the scroll case in the Tari's hands.

While the group looks at the tube, Attilius stays on overwatch looking for danger while in his massive form.

- As the signs of warning seem to dim, at least temporary, Skrye takes the long black tube capped in purple wax out of the pocket and looks at it for any symbol, mark or writing, something she could use as a hint to recall, perhaps, any possible hint of history.

Stories are not always fantasy-shaped to tale telling little pinkies or to scare adult ones, but also as a method to recall stories of items from old, lost in time but kept under the wasteland's skin, like a scar covered by fur.

The tari knows little of mutants, other than there are altered humanoids that roam the wastes.

The tube looks like a proper scroll tube, no history to really gain from that... outside of it likely being old (since it was from Aman).

The wall of flames indeed dies down and disappears, leaving a dark, burnt patch of silt behind.

Opening the tube reveals a few papers and a small metal chain, either a bracelet or necklace... and a small bottle of glass with a rust reddish liquid inside.

Written upon the paper in fresh ink is a hastily scrawled note in Aman's spidery script.

"You are lucky the demons did not have the chance to reverse the gravity of the situation! Give the necklace to your kreen friend, as it will protect him from the realm you intend on visiting..."

The other few papers have a drawing of a rock with petroglyphs upon it. A note is scrawled in the margin. "Follow the Eater of Tongues path to find this!" The final page has a rhyme writ upon it.

"Touch the flame; dance widdershins about the gate. Spill the wine upon the rock; fire unabated."

Once the paper is read aloud, Attilius begins looking for the demons tracks...

- Skrye looks at the bracelet inside and outside, looking forward to reveal its story and, henceforth, some functionality although it escapes her knowledge - "This seems to be for you, although its utility is not clear to me other than what's said here just by looking briefly at it" - handling it to Chat'cho, then turning to Muiko - "There is nothing for you this time, just a game with words and an image for everyone to see. In the other hand, could it be possible for you to stop shifting? If in the middle of a combat a realise a figure or shape I'm not familiar with, I may end hitting you, and it won't be my fault, I can assure you.. Besides, we don't know what we'll find there and the less randomness possible will create the lesser confusion" - in calm tone, reasoning, not provoking him

"In the future, I will make sure to let you know that I am taking a form you wouldn't recognize whenever I should do so if that would please you.  I will say that I don't relish the thought of being skewered on your blades, I imagine they'd sting far worse than the razorwing" 'Muiko replies.

A smile spreads across his face as he does his level best to mimic the confused face of the sygra followed wailing akin to an infant, erupting again into laughter as he briefly continues to mock the defeated demons.

'Muiko turns to Niachi [Elven: "You still see their trail yes?  Lead the way then, let us see this brazen city!"]

The giant spins around for a few long seconds scanning their surroundings for any more threats. If none are found he'll sheath his axe and pick up and stow his gouge.

Looking at the ginormous gladiator, Quila responds:

"It was a foul smelling creature indeed. And that other one, who called himself the Eater of Tongues, I have heard of that name before somewhere. I do not think them native, did you hear the loud POP sound when we struck killing blows, which made them disappear in thin air. They are off-worlders, probably much like Liandrin comes from the elemental plane of fire, these come from someplace else. We might want to read one of those books when we get back to get to know more about them. Let's assume we will see that Eater of Tongues again."

Turning to 'Muiko and Skrye, she adds:

"Now what did Aman call these? Demons? And apparently they have several innate magical powers. I saw none of them casting but a Wall of Fire did appear. I think this reference to 'reversing the gravity' is a tongue-in-cheek way of Aman telling us these creatures have more fearsome abilities we have not experienced this time around."

Taking a look at the piece of rock herself, she starts musing about its meaning. "It might be that we need to find some building or location where this piece of rock came from. That rhyme could mean so many things, I'm not even gonna attempt right now to make sense of that."
Quila starts looking at the buildings and the materials they are made of, trying to figure out if this rock with petroglyphs could have come from this city's ruins.

The giant grunts his understanding to Quila "Hrmph... you read, I'll listen." he simply responds.


He then pulls off his silt mask, shield and sweaty galea. Attilius takes one of his water skins and pours it on a rag to wipe the silt and blood off his face, head and bleeding wounds.

[Niachi]

The Blurry Niachi perks up at mention of wine. He ends focus on guiding the Spectral Hand so it stations floating above his shoulder. He whistles for Kah Rawk to return to his other shoulder.  

He shrugs  to the conversation:

"If Aman's ugly friends had Reverse Gravity in their arsenal, we got lucky they only threw out a Wall of Fire and a Mirror Image."

Pointing out the quarry's footsteps:

"Hmm. Let's follow our trail as long as it's here. Is 'widdershins' a direction?
Mr Big, I have one Enchant Weapon for you, It takes time to finish and lasts 40 combat cycles. Let me know when you want it."

(in Kreen, testing their new team member) 

"<Son of Kri-kcht your pretty blades did not slay. Still, you may be useful.">
