The dry, dusty air and odd silence set a slight tone of paranoia, as every so often you hear the scraping of fingernails or even a strangely muffled moan as you work. The lid is put into place, sealed if you wish with a stone shape and Quila opens the door from the opposite side. This does bypass the trap thankfully, you are pretty sure it's a needle trap on the door. Imagine avoiding the pit of poisonous creepy crawlies only to get poisoned, fall backwards and then get slowly consumed by bugs. A shame. What a wasted trap. Meanwhile Thessik discovers that the pressure plate trap lies behind an actual illusion of the southern end of the fresco. The pressure plate is easily disarmed. But as he finishes, he sees a half dozen clawed hands scamper in from the north corridor. Two present middle fingers, another two make a gesture where one makes a ring and the other points a digit in and out vulgarly and the other two mimic two animals humping. They then scamper off out of sight to the north - as he was standing just past the fresco. The dwur trader rogue wipes a bit of sweat from his brow and looks to Attilius to see if he saw what he just saw. Between all the lifting and work another 3 minutes/rounds pass.

Thessik repeats what he saw and keeps checking this area for traps and various structural anomalies, blades easily in reach.
Niachi offers 1st watch and casts Light on a a pebble/chunk of debris for comforting, temporary illumination. He will accept a Nap with grace after his shift.

The giant can't help but bellow out a hearty laugh "If these skat stains weren't trying to kill us, they actually might be good friends... Too bad really." The Murmillo pats Quila on the back "Nice work. That needle looked nasty!"

'Muiko will readily accept participation in the first Nap cast.
He will cast Wizard Lock on the doors before Napping.

Quila is fine with partaking in the second Nap, and will cast the first one on 'Muiko and presumably Skrye and either Attilius or Coden. Thessik can choose whichever way.

Quila will cast a Nap on Muiko Attilius and Skrye. That leaves Coden, Niachi. Thessik and Quila herself on watch for the next hour.
After the first nappers wake up and can take watch, Quila will cast another Nap. This time she gives a full night's rest to Coden, Niachi, Thessik and herself.

You're lucky that the spirit troll raaigs must have been licking their spiritual wounds. It also helps that you blocked the way of the crawling claws (at least temporarily).
Recap:
The south door with the insect pit opens into a hall leading east. Within, this chamber was obviously once used to prepare the deceased for ritual entombing. Brittle wooden tables are covered with empty pots and jars that probably once held embalming oils, unguents, and spices. A pile of linen strips on one table is remarkably preserved. Beside it is a large ceramic flask. Decorative panels along the walls depict ancient burial rituals and alien worship. Again, the faces of a robed figure are carved out or clawed out of the depictions.
A single magical trap is detected on the north wall, closer inspection reveals letters scrawled into the panels there.

- Skrye gets closer to examine the preserved linen wraps, firstly just by looking at it, to see what's it and what lies around it

"We should examine that" 'Muiko points to the arcane writing "but I believe you said that was trapped did you not Quila? I might be able to do something about that" 'Muiko moves to use Quila as cover from Thessik before he casts Dispel Magic.

On 1st watch, Niachi casted Detect Magic and scanned the room. He examined the scrawls near the magical trap from 10 feet away.
Thessik pointed out the blocked passage where the hands scrabbled off and checked the tables with linens and urn for anything hinky.
Upon awakening, Niachi warms up with some stretching:
“What did I miss?”
He casts a Dispel Magic into his obsidian conduit and Detect Invisibility on himself, and sweeps the room and the nearby areas we have previously explored (no new areas)
Detect Invisibility: duration 40 rounds, 10’ x 80’ path to line of sight.

After waking up, Quila meditates and prays for the salvation of Athas.
Then, upon hearing Attilius mention more psionic scouting, she prods the group, "Do we want to have more psionic scouting done? Say the word. I can either start behind the hallway containing more niches, or behind the door in the south wall of the room where the golden chariot and two sarcophagi were. But what are we trying to ascertain?"

The dispel is ineffective.
The runic writing seems to be in the trade tongue. You ('Muiko) are standing far enough away when attempting the dispel to not have to read the writing if you don't wish to.
Niachi detects magic within the large flask as well as the pile of linen strips. Abjuration to be specific.
