This preparation room, adjacent to the shaft leading some 90ish feet down into the earth, still has the issue of having a set of magically trapped runes guarding the now evident secret door.

It seems, at least for the present, that you are not investigating the linens and magically detected unguent upon the tables.

And that's when you start hearing a weird scratching noise somewhere in east wall. Probably nothing though.

Enchanted weapon is readied as well as Nicahi's ability to detect invisible menaces.

Silently, the giant frantically waves at the group to get their attention then puts his index finger to his mouth. He'll quietly walk on the balls of his feet to the east wall and gently place his ear against the wall in 10' placements...

IDK if Yvera hears anything but I imagine that she might poke her head out and give a closer listen as well.

[Niachi]

Niachi somehow glided a few feet forward without moving above his ankles. He readies longbow and a nocked arrow encased in a long bladed iron point and turns his head slightly to angle one of his pointy ears at the scratching. He looks to Umbris to show he provides cover for the halfling in 180 degrees or so.
Kaw-Rawk guards his flanks and rear with ears twitching to every noise. Its nose dialates to take in the odors.

Between the tari and the elven wizard, you suss out a small hidden panel on the east wall.

It does not appear trapped (obviously, since it didn't show on Quila's divination). While you have not opened it, you figure by the shape of the outline that the entrance is only 2 1/2' tall and wide - making it something that the tari or halfling might need to investigate if it opens into a tunnel.

The noises stop briefly. But after a ten count or so, a rap rap rapping sounds from the wall.

Should someone look to open the secret hatch, Attilius readies his shield and gouge and moves opposite side of the door, ready to strike.

You all stare at the wall. Indecision being the decision.

"Well, someone open it!" Yvera exclaims as 'Muiko looks about.

"Sure!" He says excitedly as he goes over to the hatch and tries to pop it open

Easily done. You see a dozen green hands with yellowed claws, now stained with dirt scampering away as fast as possible down a barely two and a half foot wide earthen tunnel that curves to your right into darkness.

Those little shit heads, er hands. Can't be up to any good.

The giant sighs "Nope." and closes the tiny door back up. "
"Let's move on..."

"...oh." He says, before grinning again, and taking a moment to inspect the entryway to the small tunnel "I never did see skittering hands before. Or at least... cut off hands skitter. I have seen a hand that got chopped off close itself, which was neat." 

After inspection, he shrugs, and steps back as the giant closes it off again. 

Its not long before his curiosity gets the better of him, however. He pops open the door again, and heads in, attempting to hide in shadows and move silently
