Quila picks up some remaining bone fragment of the orog corpse for later divinatory (not dinner) purposes.
Peering into the square pit, she muses, "Why do we choose this route down instead of the straight 90 feet drop from the embalming room? Did I miss something just now in your logic?" and looks at the group quizzically.

Easily done. It seems like the halfling likes to poke things.
Although it isn't going to be easy moving the sixteen weapons with one person (even a half giant). It's just too bulky. Maybe 3 polearms or 4 spears for Attilius with the rest of the stuff he carries.
You could carry them all, but you'd have to forgo shield and gouge play.

Niachi freezes mid-step.
“My direction sense was never great, point the way!”

"Hand me all the weapons and I'll crack off the hafts so I's can carry them all in ma pack." The giant steps back to give some room and gets out his blanket. He lays it on the floor to neatly wrap the 16 weapon ends/tips in it.

'Muiko shrugs in response to Quila's question while also collecting some bone from the orog.
Spellcraft (to know that cloth from a corpse is also valuable as a component) rolled a 19 needing a 16 or less.
Spellcraft (to know that dust from a wizard's tomb is also valuable as a component) rolled a 15 needing a 16 or less.
He will sweep some dust into a pocket before looking around "Well, are we going back to the 90' chute or chancing this one?" he says pointing at the hole with the flooded pit.

Assuming you retreat back to the room that has the pit concealed behind a magical trap, how do you wish to deal with said obstacle?
Dispels? Rogue skills with potential buffs?

Quila can cast Moment for the rogue giving a flat 20% bonus. Otherwise a Dispel Magic is something that is possible as well.

As Attilius is snapping off hafts and placing the metal on to his blanket for wrapping up, he'll study the strange weapon heads and try to glean their use with his Gladiators "proficient in all weapons - even one that is new to him" ability + his crude & full weaponsmith skills. Attachments:

This weapon was probably used to tear chunks of armor off a foe. Given the number of murals and paintings you've seen with warrioresses and the like wearing full metal carapaces, assuming the artist wasn't exaggerating...
Well, it'd be good at ripping off plates and giving jagged, gaping wounds.

"Magiks' gone by now, eh?" he asks, inspecting his gouge's blades. Upon receiving confirmation, he stows it then slides out his invisible hand axe from his calf sheath. "Let's check out dat DRY pathway ninedee feet down..."

- "It could be useful to rip apart scales too, even to climb, if the shape was a bit smaller" - looking at that strange shaped weapon, then around for anything metal-wise left in the floor and not been picked up, if anything she'll grab one of these - "I want to be wrong in my thoughts about what levers and how many is Umbris pulling before he's injured"
Umbris - "So, what's next? Ah, I see that you are 'hungry' but bear in mind that we don't know for how long these bones have been here housing who knows what parasites and/or sicknesses, yet I'm not telling you not to eat, just think before attempting to gnaw the first thing you find my quarterling friend"
