Moving back to the room with the magical trap, Umbris fiddles, fucks with, and otherwise attempts to disarm the magical trap.

While part of the group was busy offloading weapon parts from the room beyond the orog devout interment chamber, Quila remembers her scouting and points at 'Muiko's map. "There is a shrine below there and beyond the door. The writing looks interesting too. Once we are done with our mission I really want to investigate some more."

Quila would have cast Moment (lvl 2) right when we walk back into the embalment room and she sees the little wee man-kid walk to the magical writing in a carefree manner.

"Hold it for a second Umbris, let me assist there and point out the right moment for you to do your thing in the grand complexity of motions and nature's processes."

Quila then traces some unseen lines through the air while her mouth quickly goes from 1 to 10 and back again without making any sound, purely the lip movement, then looks at Umbris again, arches her left eyebrow, and says: "Get ready. Get ready. NOW!"

Retreating to the room you originally rested in with the enchanted, yet ignored linens, Umbris is pointed out to what needed to be dismantled. He erases three lines of the rune with a wet cloth... and after a bit of fiddling around releases the catch to open the egress. No trap is triggered, so apparently he did something right. Chalk it up to his diet, I guess.

This reveals the shaft dropping some 90' below.

Double thumbs up with a happy grin "Good! Im happy you helped, I feel I mightve fuckered up if it wasnt for that magic! But yea, I did it! We did it. So this way is dry, that way looks and smells like a piss trough. I think this way would be better, but I only got like... 25' feet of rope."

This is a good point. Rope, where and how to fasten it, and what order will be needed.

The giant sets his pack down, rummages within, then tosses his two coils of 100' giant hair rope to the deck. He then looks at the linen and picks it up with his invisible axe end so as not to touch it.

If nothing happens he'll inspect more closely and also the altar it was covering...

If his last Detect Magic is still up, 'Muiko will warn Attilius "Beware, they're enchanted with [Insert_School_of_Magic_Here]"

He will then wait patiently to be among the middle of the group to descend.

1. No altar in this room. Tables with supplies. From before: Within this chamber was obviously once used to prepare the deceased for ritual entombing. Brittle wooden tables are covered with empty pots and jars that probably once held embalming oils, unguents, and spices. A pile of linen strips on one table is remarkably preserved. Beside it is a large ceramic flask. Decorative panels along the walls depict ancient burial rituals and alien worship. Again, the faces of a robed figure are carved out or clawed out of the depictions.

A single magical trap is detected on the north wall, closer inspection reveals letters scrawled into the panels there. This trap is the one Umbris just disarmed.

You also found the secret passage of rot grubs here in the east wall.

2. Detect Magic was already cast here. From before: Niachi detects magic within the large flask as well as the pile of linen strips. Abjuration to be specific.

Attilius said:

"Magiks' gone by now, eh?" he asks, inspecting his gouge's blades.

Niachi shakes his head with a salty look:

"Stop yer grinnin' and drop yer linen! Magik's good! We have more than half duration, I'll bet. (OOC: 40 round duration from start of crypt fight) If these rags don't kill us, stash them and the bottle, and let's move like Swiftwings down that chute, however we manage your current size. Maybe enough time for Magik slicing up whatever's down there."

To the group:

"I can do first down the rope, or whoever makes more sense. To prepare, I still have eyes on the unseen for a while. I'll start my own Detect Magik."

He sets down his club and starts Detect Magic, adjusting his gear for this next push deeper towards their Destiny.

- Before doing anything else, Skrye collects the remaining linens and keeps them in her belongings to investigate later on before continuing ahead

Attilius nods to Niachi's comments and hands the magical linen and large ceramic flask to Skrye.

He looks around with a frown as he sheaths his axe "Nothing to tie the rope to 'round 'ere. Let's see how strong those columns are..."

Attilius goes to the next room over and ties one end of his rope to the nearest column. He'll then pull with all his might and see if the column holds.

IF his strength test begins cracking/breaking the column he'll immediately stop and untie his rope. He'll then wrap it around the base of the sarcophagus and do the same stress test.

- "The elemental can hold the rope until we are all down and then meet us down, then drop it down the hole and meet us there" - disclosing to everyone - "Do not disrespect my lords by picking the rock up when my lords provide us with their help. You should be grateful to them, any type of donation to them at some point, even if it's an honest acknowledgement of their power, would suffice"

- "Yet you may be right, I'll use my power over the stone to shape it like ladder rungs" - moving by the hole, looking at the elemental and pointing down - "Travel down the earth to the floor level down, emerge from it and protect us as we go down, from any enemy force" - once it starts its bidding, the Tari will summon the power of Earth to shape that ladder rungs all down the inner side of the hole down to the lower floor


I think we're just going to have you cast stone shape and make ladder rungs down the hole
