It happens. You guys have a pretty low death count so far.
If you die, tell me what PC you want to activate from the tree. If you have a tree, I'd rather you bring one of those chaps on. It just makes sense. Time can apply. But if you use a character that is easier to activate, say in Michael's instance with Sacamec, simply stating you want to spend extra time on the boat and having Khuv open a wormhole is sufficient enough to bring him into play.
I can't remember if you had a Nibenese PC on the tree. If you activate someone who has a reason to geographically be where you are - that can work too. Anything more removed will take a bit more to work in.

Rizla was Nibenese and Haadan's next-of-kin.
I'm thinking that I would like to replace Haadan on my tree with a Dwarf Cleric(Earthbender)/Fighter, Prole Layman, stoneworker and champion of the little guy.

There are ways to raise dead characters in my games.
- Mak is like a level away from raise dead.
- The entity below this tower is no conjurer of cheap tricks.
- At least one other NPC within the game has the ability to do so as well. A lot of it depends on if you want to pay the proper price - and to whom.
