Mak replies to Hurk, "Their oaths mean nothing. If you fight alongside them, you risk your life to their power by doing so."
Back to Narakasura, "I will speak to Surpanakha, she may not be agreeable. If so, my companions will join you in the fight so long as you do not harm any of us and focus your rage purely on the Psurlon. I am told that the larger Psurlon have a greater mastery of the Way, I assume you have experience with foes that use such powers? What of your urn once you are freed? We will do as you instruct in this matter to the best of our ability. Once this is all done, I would speak with you once more before you depart for the Obsidian Plain."

"There is little chance a mortal foe will even be aware of our presence when we fight. They will simply die."
The spirit pauses.
"You needn't help, just see the results and count the bodies. I swear this upon my wife's memory."

Mak looks around to the others. "Narakasura will single handedly take on the Psurlon threat. I will release him on my own to do so. There's no sense risking more than just one of us. Do we have a method of locating these creatures so I can direct him to their location?"

Coden says to HurK's offer of the datchi club, "I don't know how to use this. Never learned. I didn't go to one of the gladiator schools, where they drill in everything."

We could take you to the main entrance... I do wish to go with, once he's done to see what we can find of note. There may new information and items that will give us more informationon to their local goals... and beyond."

"One more thing... this is a long shot but ask him if he's ever seen or heard of an other worlder that fits this description: a towering crimson creature - Broad and well-muscled, with four arms, two with clawed hands and two with powerful pincers, it's violet eyes and tembo-face grins as it deals death." Hurk asks

Mak to Narakasura, "One of my companions wishes to know if you had any insight into a separate issue. He encountered a towering crimson creature - Broad and well-muscled, with four arms, two with clawed hands and two with powerful pincers, it's violet eyes and beastial-face grins as it deals death. He believes that the creature hails from another realm. I thought that given your extensive knowledge of the planes you may have come across such a being before. If so, any insight you could give us on it's strength and weaknesses would be appreciated."

"Hmm. One of the things that convinced The Magician to try and punch a hole into other worlds was that he or his students had scried upon such things with psionics and various magics and seen Others. Now, as Zhen, I know that some of the most powerful of us can bring in temporary assistance from elsewhere... somewhat ironically. If it is an off-worlder, I have not seen this specific entity. It does not seem like any of the residents of Flame or the Primals as I once knew them. But if there are other layers, like I mentioned before, perhaps it could be from one of those Places.
As of who might know? Lady Qwith of Shadowmourne might or perhaps Harkor himself. Assuming the Lady still has her wits about her."
"There is also the chance that other high magicians, powerful mentalists or your own Gallard knows such things. Much has happened I assume that I am unaware."

"Few know him as Gallard and none openly speak to him as such. Over a thousand years ago he called himself Nibenay and named his city the same. You tell me of what once was, I will tell you of what *is* now. Good information keeps us both from making... a miss step."
"Who is Lady Qwith of Shadowmourne to you? Did you know her in life or only after unlife?"

He laughs.
"There was a city of Nibenay long before Gallard claimed it and it's name as his own. It was once the dwur's city of trade, where the bearded rock men plied their wares unearthed from their underground cities in the nearby mountains. The name is Dwur for wealth & prosperity."
"Qwith was a blood relative to my wife in life. In death, I was instrumental in getting the Lady of Shadowmourne to sign Harkor's accords... and probably the reason I was spared while my spouse was not. The Lady developed on the Magician's original theories and put them into practice, before the obsidian flow."

"Just as the city now called Tyr was once known as Tyr-agi among my people. I once longed to see it, but those notions faded as I came to understand what I was seeking served as a crumbling foundation to what now stands and that Borys has claimed the territory as his own recently... I have no desire to travel to that cursed place. I guess that is often the fate of dreams, they vanish like a morning dew under the harsh sun."

"Tell me what my neighbor says, whether she agrees to the terms or not. The sooner we can get this done with, the sooner I can be clear of Gallard's reach."

"Agreed. I will not be able to contact you with her response for at least a day, perhaps two. You will know her reply before you are released."
Mak breaks contact and speaks to those around them. "If you can keep the wards up, I'll contact the other urn now and work this out."
Assuming the psionic wards remain and no one objects, Mak will focus and encant the Telepathy spell once more, this time to Surpanakha's urn.
"My lady, I've contacted you to let you know that you will be released within a few days. Narakasura and you both will be released. I know that no verbal oath can hold either of you to action, however I have requested assistance with eliminating mortal beings and Narakasura has agreed and wishes you to join him in this act before the two of you part ways with us and with each other. There is a colony of psionic creatures known as Psurlon that need to be... cleansed. If you are not aware of what these creatures are, I will inform you. Narakasura seems confident that despite their powerful psionics that they are no match for the immortal powers you both wield. Once free, you may leave instructions regarding your urns and I will carry them out immediately."
"Aside from my wish to remain alive... I have an additional hope that we may speak again. Openly. Without the power dynamic of one of us held imprisoned. No sentient deserves such a fate, living or unliving. It is cruel."
