Mak will continue to scan in a circle using the detect evil spell (like a radar) as he walks down the stairs to the archway and tunnels. (OoC: Range is 360' on that detection.)

There is nothing evil to detect.
Either the spirits were successful in their mission...
Or there were no foes residing here to begin with (at least within range of the spell).
Currently at 8.5 turns passed.
