"Drakes are ravenous creatures. Should we attempt to contact the great beast, it would be best if we had many large living animals with which to sacrifice to it. The Psurlon will be hard fought to access the portal she guards. We should not worry about this further."
He will leave the questioning of Pallia to the others. Elemental Clerics always seem out of balance when compared to those who revere the whole of nature. Time will tell if her presence is helpful or hurtful to the party.

"Well... I am chosen of the Sun, blessed with magical power while I have the opportunity to commune with its light. I can perform rites and blessings from the sun to ease the pain of wounds, grant luck in battle, and repel the un-dead. I know how to fight with the carikkal, and I am versed in the treatment of injuries with poultices, bandages, and stitching. Also I enjoy cooking," says Pallia wryly.
To Victory she says, "I was born like this. My parents were not certain whether it was a blessing or a curse. As a child I was very fragile and sensitive to sunlight, and I had to spend most of my youth indoors. Later... I nearly died from exposure to the sun, but instead the sun saved me and gifted me with its powers. Now the sun protects and shields me."

[Anyone have what the dates/timetable we're to pick up the Ledo island flint for the Balic mint]
"If we're going sailing aimlessly let's try for the islands with ruins that Master Gitmog recommended when I asked him about magic item hunting"

"Indeed! As our research on drakes continues, let the mighty one rest and live up to her name as Guardian.

"Welcome aboard the Tyrian Gambit, Pallia. Captain Abez and I go way back. His crew: Yiska and her brother Hashke, good people. We'll find you your own nook for privacy. Down below, a very special lady grants the Gambit an edge over most skiffs like this. She may want to meet you , depending on any random mental talents you might have. "

[no, but I can Mindlink to Coden and/or ask Berg to get this OOC, is that a reasonable ask Bob?]
"If we're going sailing aimlessly let's try for the islands with ruins that Master Gitmog recommended when I asked him about magic item hunting"
"Yeah, sounds good. Plan to remain a few miles offshore, do a proper clairvoyance and other scouting first before we just sail up. Hash out details with our last meal on board and goodbyes to Berg.

"Agreed!" the half giant nods

Berg'mench replies after hearing the thoughts to leave the drake alone and nods. Changing into a goat, he bounds back up the rocks and out of sight.

Abez will simply shake his head concerning maps.
"Too dangerous to scribe such things. I've seen some things stitched in linen, but they go for a premium if an' when ye find them. Most silt vessels skirt the shores anyway."
When Gitmog and ruins are brought up - you recall that he wasn't specifically talking about ruins on islands. (OOC: The specific ruins he mentioned correlate to Arkhold and the Bleak Tower on the map.) Abez has passed them both before, as the ship was said to have been built somewhere even further east of that. As ruins are mentioned, he adds...
"We did pass some before along the coast to the north and as well (OOC: both to-and-from the Nibenay/Pristine Tower jaunt). We didn't stop, but they're closer distance-wise than the others you speak of... and probably easier to run back to town with. Who do you think has tracked us so far? All this heat is making me anxious."

Of course you may contact Coden. Assuming Jesse did not want to confront him at the earlier episode... you can assume business would run as normal. Between Laahk's contacts with Wavir and everything - you can have this run independent of having to deal with it personally. Let's go every two to three weeks. You're due for a drop off after this last adventuring bout.

"No idea Cap. Maybe Nisid's laughing Defiler? Personally I'd rather go starmetal hunting but one: unless I fly the ship, it's not moving on land and two it's probably already been scavenged and moved. Let's head for the closer ruins first Captain. If it turns up empty we can head further out to Arkhold."

"Right by me. Let me assure you, Captain Abez. We have shaken those who hunted us. We return with new mental abilities to detect and destroy, if they dare to return. Off to these uncharted isles, but can you tell the crew to stop within a mile at least, to scan and scout before blindly landing ashore. As for mapping? Can we find a blank patch of the cabin wall belowdecks to mark what we know and what we find?"
[OOC: 2 more items Laakh wants to deal with before we sail:]
1) Contact Falmon at House Wavir, with intent to further his and the party's value to the powerful trading house. "My Telepathy and Detection improves. En route to some islands of interest, will gauge trade and threat potential for all concerned... Our friend Coden remains there to sort his house, after some troubles etc." "
2) Find my contact Kaz the Giantess: "We depart for islands north of here. Where are the bad giants? What we say or show to strangers of your kind who have good relations with Ledo, so they see us as friends?"

Never to miss an opportunity to speak with his cousins, HurK will tag along (provided Laakh is cool with company)

Pallia seems only too happy to drop off her meager possessions and find a sleeping space on the ship. She is pleased to take up a spot on the deck as the ship moves, looking out to the horizon through eyes shielded by her sun magic.

"So it is not just elves who have chalk skin? I only ever saw the one before you. It was a 'Moonlight Fight' by the Fullness of Guthay and Ral *Victory raises his arms as if to grasp them in their relative positions from that night* and I had just started to <exaggerated cracking: get my man-voice.> They told me 'Your voice says you're a man now boy, so go fight a man!' The chalk elf was the first man I fought *Victory holds a ragged scar on his lower left abdomen*-- he was on me quick. Once I realized he stuck me with his sword, I broke it *makes striking motion with right hand towards left hip* and landed a left hand jab in his short ribs. I swept his legs and once he was on his back, I mounted him and pummeled like I was a feylaar. It was the fight that saw me dubbed 'the Mad Monkey of Nibenay'. I nearly died that night...."

Pallia says to Victory, "Well... I've never met someone else quite like me in this sort of appearance. Some people think it is a curse, that perhaps my family did something to offend one of the sorcerer-monarchs. All that I can tell you is that compared to others when I was young I was always much more sensitive to the sun and it always seemed like I would be scrawny and not very strong."
"So..." she continues with some apparent interest, "Once you smashed the elf's weapon, did he surrender, or did you keep on fighting until he was dead?"

Abez replies to Laahk. "The ruins I was speaking of are off the mainland, jus' north and past the split in the tongue o' silt. Not on the isles. You be thinking of the haunted place I skirted and gave a wide berth to. I know, looks all the same after a bit. I'd suggest avoiding any islands... you think we could take a tribe of bigs like this one?"
Contacting Falmon proves difficult. He is simply busy. He acknowledges you quickly and simply wishes to know if you wish to still arrange pick up and transport of flint to Balic. "Sorry I have little time. There's talk of war in the air. Much to learn and profit from, my Laahk. Do not be surprised if you see the templar legions about the Balician roads to the north in the coming days."
Kaz will be discussed after these two points are resolved.
