Well, taking the time to look helps. You find a section of floor that depresses a bit and it (the door) eerily creaks outward and to the left.
This reveals a set of stairs leading down and to the right.
It goes for at least 20' or so down.
Steps in the dust lead down half of that before simply disappearing... something human-esque in gait.

- I could go in but it would be useful to check that there are no more traps in the staircase.. - looking at her elf comrade - Could you make the honors with your acute skills? - in polite manner

(Stepping away from the doorway and whispering) "I COULD, but we should rest first to regain our strength."

Can Kleys see anything else down the stairwell with his Infravision (by poking his head around the corner - NOT entering the passage)?
If not, he'll call for a light stone to be held up behind his head for more light and then look again.
Also, can I tell if the stairs go TO the next story down, or past it, or both? (Judging by where the floor was in the Spider's den...)

You assume, based on the hole and drop to the acid spider room, that the stairway levels out on the next full floor and not an intermediary floor.
You, of course, cannot tell if this area is going to be cut off from the rest.
There is no obvious door or egress below - just a 6 or 7 foot section of floor where the stairs end.
One could assume that there's another hidden path to take down there... unless there's a peeky hole or some other use - who the heck would build a dead end set of stairs?

Steps in the dust lead down half of that before simply disappearing... something human-esque in gait. "Finally! Maybe we get some answers... Someone follow and back me up!" HurK whispers tersely and is off like a flash as she pulls out her light Orb and gently bites down on it... [Accelerate 20, rolled 18 Power Manipulation 17, rolled 17 -51 PsP's Movement and attacks are tripled, and she automatically strikes first in any melee round.]

Well? You don't run into anything if that's the intent.
Don't hear anything either.
Also, running is nigh near impossible for you unless you shrink, since you're literally shoulder-to-shoulder in the corridor. So you get like the equivalent of carpet burn on your biceps?
On a positive note? If something did come up this way, no one else is going to be a target.

HurK comes back up huffing and puffing "I lost his tracks 10' down. Let's go check the other room we fell into with the secret door..."
She heads off, body language showing slight defeat

"Wait, let's check the room/passage with windows first. I'd rather check this floor off."

- Is it not a hunter in the party? A pack member with tracking skills? - Looking around towards Kleys - I'm not extremely hurtled but you all need to recover from your wounds and capabilities, plus I won't mind a rest either to be honest.. -

Kleys simply shrugs at Kem.
"I already checked the immediate area beyond the door, so why don't you go first HurK, and I'll follow and Search if the way is safe."

HurK leads the group to the North room with the mold carpet. She'll start searching the west wall for secret panels and/or cracks.
