Pallia levels her spear and keeps the banner in hand just in case anything else decides to start a fight.

He starts Safe Path, and (too late) tries Life Detection in the room.

Safe Path: need 16, rolled 4. +4 or 25% to all saves and rolls in these situations.
Life Detect: Bob rolls. Power manipulation: rolled 3. If Life Detect is good, he instantly detects everything within 100 yards, in every direction.

Kri-kcht moves over to the little bugger and tries to kill it, by stabbing his bone dagger through the length of Hurk's hand.

The bone blade glows deep purple as it's drawn.

Kri-kcht feels the need for caution, but easily pierces the little beastie after the magic missiles slam into it.

The bone shiv stops glowing after the blow, leaving the room quiet.

I will post results of the life detection shortly. I have to check my distances and surrounding rooms.

The only living thing you can currently sense is in the bedroom you left (outside of you all, of course).

Closer scrutiny will reveal that something is under the bed.

Laakh unstraps his light orb from wrist and hands it to someone who can hold it and use a ranged attack.

"Stand back 10 feet and hold it to shine under the bed. Cover with your ranged strike."

He also steps back at least 10 feet if possible, then Clairvoyance looking from floor level.
