Rimir will toss Xyn'iia some of his meatier rations and pitch in on the digging.

Xyn'iia produces an odd trilling sound. The offered rations are pushed inside its cavernous hood and noisily eaten. "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."

The entire day is whiled away digging, uncovering the passage below step by step by step by step.
It takes no small amount of time and effort, but the group have the expertise, the labor, and the tools for the job. It's not long before an ancient stone wall is uncovered, blocking the way into a surviving chamber.
Time, effort, and Templar magic soon turn this aside, and in a shower of stone fragments and dust, the way into the undercroft is opened.
Almost the moment the smoke clears, the group detect many pairs of burning red lights within. Cries go up, unintelligible in their ancient tongues.
"Mor balaten!"
"Balati bol tal!"
"Borta kracsad!"
The crunching of heavy boots on stone, the clattering of bones, and the jingling of chain mail warns the group that the owners of these voices are approaching.
Irikos's spirit quickly begins speaking in hushed tones.
"It would seem that not only I was denied death. The Mage Lords' flunkies bar our way from beyond your mortal coil. Dispose of them quickly!"

Bharnag looks to the Templars "Now's your chance to grab some undead!" then he looks to Irikos and the others and exclaims "Follow me!" as he leaps down into the passageway with his Impaler and Tortoise Blade. If he lands within reach of any foe he'll lash out with the Tortoise Blade at it, otherwise he'll psionically increase his own strength in preparation for the coming battle.
Initiative Roll: 8 (weapon speed 5, initiative of 13) Attack with Tortoise Blade Roll: 19 [THAC0 18, +4 enchantment: Hit AC -5] Damage Roll (d6): 6 [+4 enchantment, +1 Str: 11 Total damage] OR Enhanced Str (+3) Roll: 16 (Target 12, failure)
Bharnag HP: 38/38, AC: 4, Wielding: Bone Impaler & Enchanted Wooden Tortoise Blade, PSP: 43/46

- As the chanting from the underground restless begin, Hwasa gets ready, holding her dagger and looking where Bharnag dropped down - 'Unless I get down I won't be able to use the spear' - and after a few moments follows him to the passageway and getting ready for combat - "I'll do my best on that!"
The brunette templaress focuses into what lies ahead, extends her arms sideways and entones her own chant - "There is no light without dark, no purpose without intent.. Clear your blurred minds, as your new purpose is to obey me.. follow my lead!" - as her arms now point ahead with open palms towards the restless, all in a very commanding and direct way, no doubt in her tone of voice, no stepping backwards.
[OOC: Control undead 8HD, starting with lowest HD first. Level of control (rolled a nat 20): Skeleton/1HD, Zombie, Ghoul/2HD, Shadow/3-4HD, Wight/5HD, Ghast, Wraith/6HD]

Zeekir initiative 9:
He hops back 5 feet to let the brawlers and templars have front line, holds his palm up in front and casts Shield, total initiative 10. Duration 15 rounds: +1 to saves, AC 2 vs hand held missiles, AC 3 vs small device-propelled (arrow etc) and AC 4 vs other frontal attacks. He shifts his femur club to grab quickly if needed, and his hands are out and ready.

The Templars with the party rapidly prove their usefulness, having rolled a 1 on their initiative. They seize control of a great deal of the undead soldiers, pitting them against one another. Priases to Nibenay echo down the forlorn halls. Soon the terrible din of rusty steel on steel pervades the catacomb.
Bharnag comes face-to-face with a skeleton clad in unrecognizable livery. His strike, however, is far too much for the creature, and a single blow fells it like a tree. It lands hard on the carved stone floor of the chamber beyond.
Those of the Templars who do not bother using their Control Undead abilities instead produce weapons, mostly Bard's Friends and other small, concealable weapons and set about organizing a counterattack. There must dozens of them in here.
Hwasa finds herself in control of eight 1 HD skeletal soldiers. So long as she keeps her arms raised and the symbol of Nibenay in hand, they are bent to her will.
Two enemy soldiers advance on Bharnag, attempting to flank him. He's able to backpedal and keep them to his front, and their feints are easily deflected. (Hit on armor class 11, hit on armor class 12--both miss by default)
The situation has dived into chaos. A pair of Magic Missiles fly toward an undead, damaging but not slaying it. The chamber beyond the wall appears to be some sort of warehouse, with long-disintegrated supply crates scattered about. There is no obvious exit from this circular room. Xyn'iia is standing still near the opening, peering inside as if in shock. The gibbering of the skeletons is as unintelligible as ever.
"Kola baksi'i!"
"Mu'x!"

Next round initiative: 9
"Hwasa, Would you bring me one of your talking pets? Let's understand their babble."
Scurrying farther back from the chaos, he waits until a tame skeleton talker is in reach, then he scatters a bit of salt and soot to the ground, casting Comprehend Languages on the skeleton. Duration: 15 rounds. Affects the touched skeleton.

- Hwasa turns her head towards Zeekir - "That seems like a good idea" - and commands one of them to approach the ratkin and stand still there without fighting as she turns to the mass gathering, ordering the rest under she commands to fight alongside Bharnag, maintaining her posture and looking ahead for more to come
[OOC: Shall I roll for the attack of the other seven? Are any more new undead coming to the scenario?]

You can roll their attacks. It doesn't look like the undead have any backup at the moment.

Zeekir places his palm on the undead brought before him and comprehends language, reciting what he learns to the group.

(Both of the 12s hit. They do a 1d6 each with their weapons, halved because it's slashing.)
Zeekir's Comprehend Languages spell is useful, if perhaps a bit predictable in its results.
"Vox mortan. Natal!" (Invaders here. Attack!)
"Mor balaten!" (Attention/Halt)
"Borta kracsad!" (Irikos's men!)
