Chat'cho glances around, marveling at the size of this room. She hadn't expected such a large room--as a matter of fact, she had expected a dead-end, considering the existence of the secret door. She turns around and hollers down the way she came to alert the others.
"Hey! There's a ton to see down this way!"

Chat'cho hugs the wall as she paces in, trying to stay alert for any sign of unquiet dead. First, she's interested in exploring the door that appears to connect with the hall she saw earlier.

This leads to ten feet worth of stairs leading down. Across from her and to the left, the corridor she couldn't see into before reveals a set of stairs going down ten more feet and ending at a door.
From here, she can see the curve of the hall to her left.

Chat'cho wanders along, very surprised by how safe she's been so far. At any moment, however, that might change.

After advancing to this next door, she realized that it is locked. There is a key hole, but she has no key.

Chat'cho shrugs her shoulders. Oh, well! She'll be back later. She turns about and starts lumbering her way down the hallway. If nothing else, this place certainly is interesting.

Stairs curve down to an oddly clean, sandstone tiled hallway. It ends in a heavily patinaed bronze door after about 35 feet or so. There is no apparent lock.

Chat opens the door. To her left a massive room is revealed. And by massive I mean some 120 x 70 feet massive.
Intricate mosaic tiles are laid upon the ground, in various shades of slime green, void black and crimson red. Four gigantic black pillars, some twenty feet tall support the ceiling. A great obsidian statue of a hunched, warty, lanky humanoid stands some 12 feet tall to your left. Around its neck, a bronze key.
To the opposite end of the room, a matching statue, not made of obsidian but of chiseled sandstone lurks. No key is seen around this cousin's neck though.
An altar or work table rests in the middle of the chamber. A jade carving of a jar(?) with nine wavy lines, er, tentacles or smoke or heat symbolism(?) rests dead center about a mass of dark candles in various states of melt.
On the floor, runes made of the tiles mimic the shape of the jade carving on the dais.
All about the walls, scenes of decay, melting bodies, malformities and bits that remind you or suggest carnality, but not in the standard sense of the term...
How would one put it?
Alien.
A large pair of bronze doors stand in the opposite end of the room.

Coden said:
"Wise decision. Since my proddings don't reveal anything more to these deceased, I'm for removing their heads before they are used against us. Then let's go find our druid."
If no one objects, he takes out his big sword (bending sideways and forward, then backwards again in the cramped area to avoid blade contact with anything). -and with a whispered Elven blessing for the dead, drives the blade tip down into each skeleton's neck to sever the skulls. He collects the skulls and bags them in his pack for later analysis.

Chat'cho thinks the key around the statue's neck is a little bit too obvious, and decides to ignore it, at least for the time being. She heads toward the key-less statue, interested in what this statue might foretell. When she reaches it, she'll place her hands on it and begin searching it over.

As you walk through the room, you can hear the click-clack of your chitinous feet resounding through the chamber. The pillars have a chiseled look to them as you pass.
Nothing triggers that you're aware of as you walk the tiled floor.
The statue is oddly beautiful in it's ugliness. The skill of the carver must have been impressive.

The skeletons are easily decapitated. Heck they weren't really attached to much of anything... but it looked cool to "sever" them.

Chat'cho shrugs her shoulders and saunters right back out the way she came in, smacking the ugly statue with her abdomen as she whips around. Instead, she's interested in searching the torture chamber, as she feels there are undiscovered secrets there ripe for the taking.
