Initiative 6 (rolled 4 -1 for Dex +3 for Casting Time) The urgency of the moment causes 'Muiko to totally overlook his act, openly casting Slow as the air fills with chalk motes and the sounds of scribbles. The taste of gum arabic and the greasy feeling are brief. Question regarding next rounds intent: Does the Obsidian statue count as a creature? If yes, next rounds intent is to Polymorph Other the Obsidian statue into live prey (athasian hare or something like that) for Yvera. If Yvera gets an action too? She uses Grease on the tile the Obsidian statue is standing in, trying to not catch Attilius (it's a 10'x10' area it covers) I am not looking up OOC if it will or will not work. I am not 100% sure if it will or won't. I am willing to spend the slot to learn IC unless someone IC more knowledgeable informs 'Muiko that it certainly won't work. I'm not entirely sure, but it seems like the type of thing that constructs would be immune to.

Initiative 7 (rolled 9 -2 for dex)
Seeing another animating construct Quila is reminded of the sand women golems where there seemed to be elemental spirits bound to materials. She will therefore use her ability of Wrench on the obsidian giant and try to force the animating spirit of this golem out of the Prime Material Plane of Athas.
(OOC: Rolled 18 on 19-20 for Wrench, success. Cost: 11 PsP.)

Caught off guard and ear drums either ruptured or at the very least ringing for a year, the gladiator instinctively does what he knows best, bares his teeth in pain and grabs his shield to defensively roll away donning it in the round
Initiative 4 AC -8 (-10 vs. Ranged) 106 HP
If allowed an action he'll use his shield to block any incoming attack at himself or nearby friendly if not targeting Attilius:
Shield Block (rolled a 16 with adjusted THAC0 18) A character can declare that she is using one of her attacks to block an opponent’s strike. Blocking is a hard parry with a weapon or shield that deflects an opponent’s attack. Any weapon except rope-like things such as nets, lassoes, or slings can be used to block.
When a character tries to block an attack, she makes a normal attack roll against AC 4. Her opponent makes a normal attack roll against her Armor Class. The strike is blocked if the character succeeds with a lower roll than her enemy succeeded with. If the attacker failed anyway, it’s a miss no matter what the blocking character rolled. If the blocking character failed but her attacker succeeded, it’s a hit despite the block attempt.
*For example, Arweth is a 5th-level fighter with an adjusted THAC0 of 14 with her long sword. She is fighting a hill giant with a THAC0 of 9. Arweth decides to use an attack to block the hill giant’s next strike. She rolls a 15 and succeeds with her roll. The hill giant rolls a 12; Arweth is AC 1, so the giant succeeds, too. His roll of 12 is lower than her 15, so Arweth’s block fails.*
If the character announces her block before initiative is rolled, she can block an attack even if it beats her action phase. If she decides to wait, she can only block attacks in her action phase or later.
Blocking is an excellent tactic for characters with multiple attacks to use against characters or monsters with only one attack. A rapier specialist with a main-gauche in her off hand can use her off-hand weapon or one of the rapier attacks to block while using the rest of her attacks offensively.

Niachi trails behind trying to get a mental map of their path, then as he enters the garish room, the floor runes ping magic hard and true. During the time that Chat'cho starts for the key, 'Muiko's familiar confirms what he sees, Quila and Coden tap into their keen observations of history and the big gladiator starts his ropework, he starts to say
"Floor runes are __________ (school)...
Then as the obsidian fists strike:
modified Initiative: 3
He spits out the monosyllabic Elven cuss word for "stab!"
Sharp scent of iron, his empty hand whips back. He hurls the black dagger suddenly in hand aiming for the obsidian creature. Those who detect psionics get a ping. No ping of magic.

Dagger #2: Hits AC -6 Damage: 5 Next round goals: Note effect of daggers. Flank along side of chamber, minimum 20 feet from any stone object and avoiding stepping on the floor runes. throw 1 ranged dagger on Mr. obsidian, ping Kaw-Rawk to ping the Jankx:

Chat'cho, knowing Golems are powerful, fearsome opponents, casts her 6th-level spell as Blade Barrier, centering it in the 5ft square near the rear of the golem.
"Hold it in *lace! Don't let it mmoxhe!"

- Skrye unsheathes her daggers and approaches one of the sandy hands, looking forward to draw some patterns in their surface, as wondering how these constructs are made.. With elements of earth itself
[OOC: Initiative 3, Attack 1 (hits -2AC, piercing dmg), Attack 2 (hits 3AC, 5 piercing dmg).
To learn something, as been a cleric of earth, I rolled 9 thinking on a raw INT roll. Not sure if helpful, as I did with the 'sand brides']

Niachi quickly reacts throwing mental knives at the twelve foot tall obsidian extinct troll statue. The mental weapon constructs chip off shards around the shoulders. He also notes that the runes on the ground were to aid in summoning elemental spirits as per his earlier statement.
At the same moment Coden begins to freeze the foe. It will be some time before this shows effectiveness, frost begins to well up about the statue's face and long crooked nose.
Scrye also manages to land two solid strikes as she ducks under the goliath's giant shield. They also seem to be effective, chipping chunks of glassine stone from the thing's giant thigh. She knows that there is a spirit of stone or earth trapped within this terror, and it is her duty to release it if at all possible.
Attilius readies his shield to block the assumed blow.
'Muiko and his tiny friend try to stifle the attacks with a spell of slowness and greases about the feet of the shiny black construct. They seem to be ineffective. I'd watch your step though.
At the same time that these spells were to hobble the terrible enemy, it raises it's lanky, muscled arms above it's ugly head and pounds it's fists together so forcefully that shards of wicked volcanic glass sliver and shoot all about the room. The sound from this is so loud, that it literally reverberates in your ears (or ear holes as far as Chat'cho is concerned), disrupting your focus on the dangerous battle before you.
Quila's wrench is disrupted (you may attempt again the next round if you wish). Coden is still able to focus on Cyrokinesis since that was activated prior to this attack. Blade barrier is disrupted and the spell slot burned from memory.
I need saves vs paralyzation from everyone due to the sound. Those that fail take a -4 initiative and attack roll penalty the next round.
The shards affect everyone in the room. 7 damage to each of you.
Then I need a separate save vs poison from everyone except Attilius. Due to his trying to block attacks this round, I will allow this to defer some of the damage on a failed save.
Those that fail the save take an additional 12 points of damage. If you make it, this additional damage is null.

Save v Paralysis rolled a 1 on the die Save v Poison rolled a 20 on the die
HP: 14/21
After the ringing stops, 'Muiko moves to keep a pillar between him and the Obsidian statue, he muses "It is resistant to magic?" Yvera replies [ToM Elven: "Buff the others, we should waste no more spells on it directly, Niachi's xerichou told me so"]
Next rounds intent: Cast Enlarge on Skrye.
If at the same base initiative, he'd cast at 8 (4-1 for Dex, +1 for casting time, +4 for penalty from prior round).
Also prioritizing cover regarding the Obsidian statue.

Chat'cho is astonishingly resilient to this type of thing. Even though she was completely unable to avoid the loss of her most powerful spell, she suffers no ill effects besides.
[Poison save: 13, Success] [Paralyzation save: 13, Success]
She attempts to run up behind Attilus and cast Strength of Stone.

Save vs. Paralyze success: rolled 18, need 10 Save. vs. Poison: fail, rolled 4.
Niachi shakes off the booming crash but cries out in agony as obsidian shards slice across his body. There is a lot of blood. The scars will be angled across his face and arms like spectral lighting bolts!
His familiar's survival instincts are strong. The creature managed to keep out of the shards' range.
The elf tries to staunch the bleeding with one hand as he darts to take cover behind the pillar closest to Atillius. His other arm springs back and flings another mental dagger at the obsidian golem:
modified Initiative 6 last missile weapon attack this round: Hits AC 0 Damage: 6
He took 19 damage, current HP: 21
