Niachi carefully picks a fist-sized chunk and a few more nice looking shards of shattered golem and stows them away. From at least 10 feet away, he pulls out his Lightstone to illuminate the area and studies the sandstone statue to look for the signs of magical constructs: tiny carved runes, over-detailed joints, and such.

Spellcraft: Half the normal proficiency check to recognize magical constructs. (2nd Ed. Rulebook pg. 85)

Needs 8 (half of his usual roll) rolled 10, fail.

"I can't confirm it's another golem. Um Chat'cho can you delay handling that tempting pouch until I charge up that gouge? Atil and I will both be unavailable to react, unless you want to unstrap the blade and set it on the floor here" (pointing at a spot away from the floor runes) 


If Chat ignores his request and handles the pouch, he will wait on the Enchant Weapon and observe.
If she agrees to wait, he will begin his spell, casting time 1 turn, duration: 40 rounds.

spells available: 2/3/1/1 plus 1 slot in conduit.

Quila will cast Orison on ‘Muiko healing him for 7 hp, and giving Niachi 2 hp back as well.

"Thank you" 'Muiko says to Quila once she's done healing him.  He then moves to examine the Obsidian chunks with Niachi.  He listens as Niachi explains golem detection, handling the still slightly chilly pieces of Obsidian.

[Elven: "You've taught me something new this day young one, be proud!"] he says to Niachi before attempting his own 'distance examination' (looking for signs from ~10-15' away)

"Etchings and superior joint work you say?  I don't see anything from here." (Spellcraft proficiency rolled a 12 needing an 8 or less) He turns to face Skrye "Does anything about it catch your trained eyes as a priestess of earth?" he asks, noting Attilius and Coden behind her.

'Muiko claps his hands vigorously "Lest I forget, Bravo!  Attilius, I have not been witness to such skillful violence since my days as a spectator in Nibenay!  And the cold on the Obsidian?  That was you, was it not, young master Coden?" 

Looking at Chat'cho "You've healed others, do you need any?" he says as his gaze shifts to Quila and back to Chat'cho.

"I am fine for now, thank you. I will heal myself before we rest the next time. I have felt worse and who knows, we might need the powers of my liege in other ways before then. It would be very selfish to bestow it upon my own scratch marks." Quila responds to the elder elf.

Quila will pocket a piece of the obsidian golem for later research and an Object Reading by one of her contacts in Kurn to find out who created these.

Nothing animates as you heal, banter and scavenge. Oddly, this room feels comfortable temperature wise. The room has a timeless feel to it, like you could spend hours here comfortably (as long as the wall art didn't foul that feeling that is).

The time passes quickly and you still continue to feel watched, the only thing that lends any true discomfort.

Quila will have walk out of the room to see if she keeps feeling watched or not and wait a couple of minutes around the corner in the hallway before she re-enters the room to see what that does.

"I can use my smugglers axe again if it starts attacking. I'm just better at killin' things with ma gouge." he says simply

- "Return in peace and rest eternally" - Skrye says to the crumbled statue, as the earth elemental spirit is released, then looking at everyone - "Is anyone injured?" - her eyes run all across the room, looking for any small creature that may be around, plus checking the objects that are still intact in the room, without touching anything, and making an effort to listening in all and every door left unopen for any glimpse of information

She doesn't seem to think her injuries are particularly high-priority.

There is a lock with a keyhole in the double bronze door. No noise is heard from the other side.

No one has looked in or grabbed the black bag yet, fearing the worst.
