HurK opens the doors as quietly as possible and enters looking for the rock with 3 scratches in it. If light is needed, she will pull out her light marble and place it in-between her incisors.
If it's locked or barred she will activate her ectoplasmic form and enter that way and look about for movement or sounds before she unlock's it from the other side.

A bright, steaking light is seen from the SE sky, heading roughly NW almost directly above you. It grows larger and eventually vanishes... perhaps falling somewhere to the distant north beyond the haunted Windbreak Mountains. Bob, did the light continue all the way down until the windbreak mountains block Line of sight to it or did it burn out mid way down in the atmosphere? And gauging it's altitude, speed and direction can you point out on the map where we "think" it might have landed?  |

Bob: did I miss how many hours of Rejuvenation were available after landing so I can roll?
Laakh is guardedly happy to set foot back home. He decided on his Nibenese merchant costume under his robes. He has wedged his light marble up under the wrist razor and plugged it with a hunk of rags so it is completely blocked unless he removes the plug.
OOC Marching order Huurk, Yiska, Coden, Eztli, Haadan, Laakh rearguard, everyone cool with this? Any others using psi powers? He will keep his mind attuned to Danger Sense and use his training to trigger Safe Path or Teleport to assist at the sign of trouble.

Well, it seemed pretty high up. You also have no frame of reference to where it could/would/did land. You did not feel an impact, see a flash of light or anything that suggests it'd be nearby. Could be a few miles... or a few hundred miles. More likely the latter.

The doors open to a drab stone stairway. Dirt and filth are built up closest to the walls leading down into the dark. A few small rodents and beetles scurry away at your presence and light. After about 30 feet, it opens up to a largish cathedral-domed room. The back of the room does indeed look broken and it's hard to tell how structurally sound it *actually* is here. There's a shimmering whitish mass towards the rear, left corner... reaching from the floor to the ceiling. [Just within range of your light.] Rubble is strewn about. It smells like stale corpse here.

HurK angerly whispers "NOBOBY TOUCH NOTHING..." and cautiously moves forward so that his light bead shines more illumination on the "Shimmering Whitish Mass". Blade at the ready... |

Looks like a web or cocoon of some sort, but with silvery glitter strewn about it. Thicker at the base of the corner, thinner to the top. Ceiling probably hits 15' tall at the sides and 20' in the middle of the room.

Haadan feels a familiar knocking <Can you tell what's inside using your telepathy without disturbing it? I rather leave it be but will incinerate it if it comes looking for dinner>

rolling 3 Rejuvenations: 9, 15, 12 = 36 PSPs regained. Full tank 101 PSPs.
As we step lightly into the large room and see the webby stuff, Laakh clicks on Safe Path and uses hand signals to tap those closest to him to "spread out, eyes on web and all around" while unplugging his light marble. He shines it up to sweep the ceiling directly above the party, then covering the corners. If nothing appears, he partially covers it so only a diffuse glow shines from under the wrist razor blades framed by the light.
Safe Path: Score 16, rolled 17 FFS. -8 PSPs

Haadan takes a moment to apply some of the jarred poison (he only thought to bring *a* jar) to a bolthead before loading it.
He scans the room with his infravision, does he see anything missed by the others?
(Haadan doesn't have Life Detection)
Haadan will nevertheless attempt to make contact with the cocoon, 15 needed, 8 rolled
If no attacks are necessary, Haadan will ask <"Do you require assistance?">

There is no contact to be made. But continued observation makes you think there's something inside. A bulge is seen from the floor up about 7 feet.
Yiska can finally see past Hurk's bulk. As he moves to the rocks and rubble in the corner. The marked one seems to be covering a niche. It might take a minute to move... there does seem to be something wedged in there.
"That looks like dream spider web... I never gathered it myself." Her blade is drawn and she looks up, down and to the side of the room.

The half giant sheaths her blade, whispers "What the heck is a DREAM spider?!" gets down on one knee and begins moving the rubble one piece per hand at a time. She carefully and quietly moves them to one side to access whatever is underneath.

HurK carefully removes the bundle so as not to disturb the rubble it's nestled within then hands it to Yiska.
"You said there's a blocked downstairs? Is it worth me checking out if I can silently bypass the rubble blocking it? Meaning is there anything of value down there?" she whispers.
