Khuv smiles.
"What brought you to a city, wild stalker? Mind schools; the Way? That's like the family passing it's traditions. But for anyone with means..."
He looks to the pterrax.
"You know how those sometimes know where prey is without their eyes? They just "think" it? That is the Way."
He pops out of existence briefly only to reappear at the top of the crows nest.
"So was that!" He shouts.

HurK frowns and grumbles quietly to himself "Oh sure! NOW you can manifest..."

"Porting is different than portalin'!" Shouts the little guy.

"I suppose it is, I suppose it is..." HurK looks up at the halfling with a half smile then on to the sky for the 3 Roc's

The three giant birds are seen getting smaller and smaller as they gain height and distance from the Gambit. You can still make them out though.

Mak slowly nods as Khuv demonstrates. "The Pterrax does not attend... 'school' to know it's own power." He ponders for a moment, "But he is just as comfortable demonstrating his power as you seem to be, so maybe there is something to this... 'school'... place... thing."
"My business in Balic was... a... chore? A... duty? Of a sort. Anywho, my time there was short and I am glad to be gone from the place for the time being, it's ways are so very strange to me."
Looking back to the giant of the ship. "For now my intention is to avoid those large sky birds and give my Pterrax some time to heal and calm himself. Is our presence here causing you ill of any sort giant one or may we stand on your... wooden... house? for a time?" He begins to look around to get a sense of the place before dropping to a knee and placing his open palm on the deck. He stands with a shrug and mutters in halfling, "How strange."

"Can I pet him?" HurK motions to the Pterrax [Does he look cut or bruised? any signs of visual damage?]

Coden posts his spear and elects not to interfere in the discussion, as he'd just muddle things further at the moment.

Mak chirps at the Pterrax then comments to Hurk, "He won't bite you if you pet him on the head."
Mak gives a nod and motions with his head to the flint tipped spear strapped to the side of the Pterrax.

HurK walks slowly over and rubs the Pterrax on the head and behind the ears while studying it's form. "Hey Buddy... It's ok..." He closes his eyes and open's his nexus to healing energy
[Lend Health 20, rolled 5 = success. HurK will give him as many hit points as necessary to make him whole (just need a total number for PsP bookkeeping Bob)]

Waking up to realize that he's no longer alone in the crows nest Rizla startles when he sees that he's accompanied by his halfling savior "Oh, it's you, you weren't up here to eat me were you?" he says as he assumes a relaxed yet guarded stance.

"Not yet. You're too thin and hairy." Remarks Khuv to Rizla the Fuzzy Mul.
The Pterrax is not injured, just skittish and shaking. Three predators each five times as big as it seen out in the open... it's like if you guys saw a nightmare beast charging at you. Or when an indoor cat takes a step outside. Simple fear.
The lending of health feels good though and the animal seems to calm down a tad.
The new crew looks suspiciously at the small rider and reptilian mount. But Abez calls for the ship to keep moving and they quickly immerse themselves in work. Yiska and Haske talk to the couple as well. Nods are made as the sails are adjusted once more.
Some food and water gets passed as well from below. Pickled vegetables, olives, cured kip sausages and a few dry oranges.
Once things settle, Abez calls out, "I meant to ask earlier the other day. Did you all see that falling star a few nights ago?" He addresses not only Hurk, but the newcomers and the strange halfling. He's obviously trying to keep morale up.

Mak pats Hurk on the knee as the Giant plays with the Pterrax before wandering over to the edge of the vessel, attempting to understand its function. It is a curiosity for him, partly because they ride on something that is dead and partly because of the method they use to catch the wind and remain aloft.
Mak looks over the food items and makes a squinty face at the sausages before grabbing a small handful of olives, popping one into his mouth with a smile. He takes a long pull from his own waterskin between munching olives.
Mak sticks out his arm pointing to the north. "Yes. Watching for many days before it fell. Passed through 'the Wheel' of stars for many nights.", his arm moves to the west just above the horizon and makes an arc southward towards the east. ((Anyone familiar with the stars would understand the constellation of Pyrus the Wheel.))
"I thought it would land more to the south..." he shrugs with disappointment.
