On the tenth day, there is a slight hiccup as far as the bone blade is concerned. It takes an additional day to correct... something to do with the handle wrapping needing another day to dry properly before use. darksunsouthtablelands.obsidianportal.com/items/the-overcompensatorThat late afternoon, prior to Hurk's sword completion, a pair of cilops are seen to the north of the walls and approaching the port/silt-side. They are driven off by the guards via bow and arrow before you have any chance to react (as in they are long gone by the time you hear of the threat). The town makes good on their promise to subsidize the cost of the metal longsword, but you still need to spend a difference of 20 silvers (or 2 gold coins). Belial looks slightly saddened (but not really). She lays on the charm hard on Hurk and thanks him for the work and coin. darksunsouthtablelands.obsidianportal.com/items/belial-s-longswordA total of 22 additional silver is needed for the time docking, using general water, food, etc... during your time in the town. The refugees are now being used more fully by the guard and are being used to clear smaller rock and begin the efforts of clearing more field. A mechanism to draw water more easily is perhaps three quarters the way to being complete. You figure, assuming no giant attacks, that the wall will continue to grow upon your exodus. From there, the rest of the crew is eager to leave and embrace the danger of future events in South Ledopolus. You have been in Altaruk twelve total days.

"Well then... Elder Shardivan said not to take this path. I hope I don't hear him tell me later 'I told you so!'" HurK chuckles nervously Mak looks at Hurk incredulously, "You decide to share that tidbit of wisdom... now?"Mak rubs his temples. "What's done is done. Let's see this through. Consequences be damned."HurK flatly responds “NO, I told told everyone after Riz’s first fight several days ago, here in the hold, what the elder told me and left nothing out.”The town makes good on their promise to subsidize the cost of the metal longsword, but you still need to spend a difference of 20 silvers (or 2 gold coins). Belial looks slightly saddened (but not really). I look forward to testing it…”----------------- Upon returning to the ship, HurK holds out the sheathed long sword and offers it to someone, unphased by the amount it's truly worth “It's not magical but not bad for 4 gold and a few days of hard work, eh? Coden or Abez, can you use this?”

Abez looks at it and states, "Let Coden use it. I plan on staying on the ship - and it seems more useful for one of you to wield."

Mak will contact Narakasura one more time the next day to communicate Surpanakha's agreement and the impending release. Unless he has anything to discuss, Mak will leave it at that.
The evening before we leave, Mak will speak to his Pterrax, letting him know to remain on the ship in the morning as they would be leaving.
"I'm anxious to get moving. As soon as we have everything we need, let's push off without delay. I fear we've lingered too long while holding precious cargo. Gallard's agents are likely too close already."
[OoC: Good to go.]

On hearing of cilops, Laakh resumes his vigilance as they set sail, using Clairvoyance and All Round Vision centered at top of the mast every few hours, with hourly Rejuvenation to keep his tank full. At least he is kitted out with proper silt gear.
"Looks like his majesty's bugs have found my scent again. They can taste probly the psychic residue of Lilith among other tracker tricks. Nasty biters too."
He keeps crossbow in reach and practices his mental defenses.
OOC: Bob: Was I able to procure 20 metal bolts in my list? Just keeping inventory right.

No metal bolts. All metal weapons available were listed earlier - and there's no functioning forge in Altaruk currently.
Belial has a few oddities on hand.
"I have a ranike club - best used for subduing insects or kreen, it makes them sleepy... for 70 silvers.
Three iron trikals of templar make, 3 gold a piece.
Seven bone shaft, but iron tipped javelins (also from Tyr), 7 silvers a piece.
From before, minus the sword you purchased (didn't bother to cut that part).

"Sorry. Don't know how to use that either. Learned on the shorter ones."

"Sorry. Don't know how to use that either. Learned on the shorter ones." HurK nods then straps it to his right calf.

"Sorry. Don't know how to use that either. Learned on the shorter ones." Mak laughs. "The moment we find a magicked short sword or spear, we're all going to be vying for it."

Ah. The joys of suboptimal weapon placing. Haske would be keen on using it - since his sister has Mom's blade.

On the silt, Laakh insists on having the urns and tablets visually checked on during each watch. Heaving them overboard crosses his mind more than once.
