If no threats are detected, waiting for weapon search result. He'll stash a dagger if found, and will just take a lit torch. With All Round vision for this next round, he kneels behind Victory and the target, so Victory can turn his head to see as Laakh grabs one of the templar's ankles, flicks off the sandal/shoe, and holds the fire close enough for target to feel it.
His voice is iron:
"Your dwarves will be dead by now: separated, immobilized, and taken apart slice by slice. (He has a mental picture of their ghastly demise in case of any mental probing.) Now. (moving his instrument closer to the bare toes) Why the murder of House Rokos agents? It is interesting how much ...damage... a single toe can endure before there is nothing left but to move on to the 2nd, and 3rd..." (flicks the torch against the foot)

[56 PSPs deducted for the wormhole. Just wanted to clarify.]
"W-what do you want from me?" He holds his leg in pain as he sits on the ground. "Are you silt pirates? Where am I?"
He has a simple stone knife on his person (and makes no attempt to grab for it - can easily be disarmed). There was a cudgel or cane at the office, apparently he had not felt threatened by your visit and had not picked it up.

Bob--Were there weapons or things of interest in 360 scan with 2 torches lit and light marble? A full round looking around and up of course.
To clarify, Laakh has a firm grip on 1 of the target's ankles, target still prone under Victory's hold.
"Cover his eyes." When that's done, calmly:
"Why you murder House Rokos agents along with a Tarek and your former dwarven thugs? Can you regenerate a burned-off limb? ...Ah, I am informed the Tarek is in position to be eliminated as any threat very shortly."
Torch is close enough to feel.

"You're laying on your grave if you don't tell us what you know of the plot against House Rokos old man!" Victory spits into the templars ear as he punches the old man in the kidneys/short ribs (rolled 8, modified 14, hits AC2). The punch is pulled but not so much to not hurt like hell. Victory will give him an opportunity to respond before asking the group "Shall I give the old bastard a drink!"

Red quips over her shoulder "Ask 'em about the metal rod he beat the shit out of them with..."

No weapons lay about (or I would've mentioned).
"What in the name of Wavir are you talking about? Plot against Rokos? I know nothing of the sort!"
ESP determines no other thoughts that betray this (assuming that Coden kept it active for a bit given the planned interrogation).
"I don't carry a metal rod! Some other Templars do, of higher rank than I."
His thoughts actually betray one interesting thing.
Aloysius.
A vision of the very templar you do business with. Who was there at the docks that day when you unloaded the flint. Who happens to carry a metal baton as a means of enforcement...

(Yes, Coden is keeping up on what's going through this man's head as we interrogate him.)
Coden looks somewhat pained and says, "Your dwarven fellows were definitely involved in the plot. Looks like they've been moonlighting on you, and they've gotten you into... trouble."

"My cousins? I'm confused. Did they do something at another Patrician's order?... because that could be possible." He rubs his head with one hand as if warding off a migraine, while still holding his knee with the other. "What can we do to make this on the level? I am obviously of no threat - and would like to keep my life."

Coden takes on a stern expression.
"Messing with the templarate is usually a bad idea. You know this, I know this. So you should realize what a bad spot you're in, that we're willing to go to these lengths anyway."
"Fortunately for you, there's a way out of this... one that might help us both. Your... superior... may well have been involved in this murder. And if so, then he needs to be... dealt with. Moving against the noble houses this blatantly cannot be tolerated. These kinds of issues should remain political. Thus, you now have a choice."
"You may decide that you are going to wash your hands of this matter, that you want nothing to do with us. Which is fine. We would be happy to leave you here in this abandoned cistern. The presence of the bodies should indicate to you that people disappear here from time to time, nobody finds them, and nobody cares."
"Or... you can help us to investigate Aloysius, determine his culpability in this matter. If we determine that he was the one behind the murders... well, let's just say, there may soon be an opening in the templarate, in the dockworking position. A very profitable opening, as it involves overseeing the city's trade in stone with the giants near Ledopolus. An opening that you could fill!"
"Of course, it's possible that Aloysius isn't the culprit. That it's someone higher up, or someone else in a different bureau causing trouble. In which case we'll find that person. I'm sure that templars move laterally sometimes. When the matter's settled, there'll be an opening, and you'll be in a position to grab it, with some grateful help from some very determined people."
"So what do you say?"

Laakh will shut off All Round Vision, plants the torch handle in the dirt to provide light, and squats to observe the templar's replies. Keeping the lake in his sightline.

The opening to the underground reservoir is on the other side of the wall here - a ten foot opening or so that drops before seeing water and extended cavern. IE hard to see from your vantage unless you move right next to the opening, which you can do if you wish.
Bankhuv will need to eat some cheese or rest a bit before attempting another wormhole... unless he attempts to Ledo Isle, as it's a lot closer.
If that is done, Mak will be left adrift unless communication is attempted.
And with that, Sherval sighs.
"I don't know how much use I'll be... mainly because I can't leave the docks for long. I can request that another patrician meet at the dock office - as I have a few favors I can call in to ensure it. As far as monetary or position changes?"
He sighs again.
"I won't do anything to jeopardize my current position. I'm mostly left alone and that's how I prefer it. My ambitious days are far behind me."

From behind the old templar, Laakh keeps his senses tuned and eyes inspecting everything around him.
"Sounds like we have other roads to pursue as his current position is where he chooses to stay: Very much alone indeed, amid shredded corpses and their spirits hungry for vengeance on the living. Do not forget this is a spellcaster who can call forth spectral cudgels to batter us, minions to attack or harrass, or bestow foul luck upon us with his very next breath. Break his fingers and bind his tongue before anything else. His mind is ripe with information to seal our fates. An innocent casualty yes. But not at our direct hands. ...Prove me wrong..."

ESP reveals a quick thought at possible betrayal, but quickly disregarded. There is implied honesty that he really does not wish to muddy waters or strike a wezer's nest politically.

"Coden, this is your call. We have our name to report to whoever you trust of your family. This one does not appear useful to us alive, unless??"
"We also need some Rejuvenation time before our next move."
He will not stop looking about and listening to their environment.

"He gave us what we wanted, ultimately... the real malefactor. He could be useful to us still, I think. This one seems... to have left ambition to his younger years. That's useful. Means he has no motivation to betray us for money or position."
"The problem," the nobleman says, "Is that now that he knows who we are—he knows our faces, and now he knows my given name, so that's not great—we have to insure that we don't have the rest of the templarate to worry about."
Coden crouches down in front of the old templar and says, "Members of the Rokos family were murdered, and that debt will be paid in kind. If what you want most is to stay out of the way... then your best bet to avoid further complications is to stay completely out of this. Talk to nobody. Know nothing. Go back to your life and pretend that this never happened."
Coden waits, still browsing the old man's thoughts, to see how he responds.
