Back to the ovens, update Mak, wait for the shopping trip. Then back to debrief at the Rokos pad, collect our things, Worm back to the Gambit by daybreak. Make sure to mention the favor we did with extreme standing risk to Coden's family. When they have a place to rest together, more Rejuvenation and talk:
"So, Coden. Sounds like you stay to keep your eye on it all. Get your house in order. I get it. Still, we will value a trusted friend in this place. Maybe we'll look into alternates to the official dockmaster for bringing in all the jewels we dig up from the silt. Abez might know. Get word to Raum and Maris the kank ranchers outside the gates, tell them I'm good. They will help a friend of mine.
And if you cross paths with Falmon Wavir, when things settle, tell him his agent in training completed his boot camp in Balican politics..." (makes evil eye ward with his hand)

1. When is Aloysius going to be contacted (or not for that matter)?
2. Are alternate PCs being considered/implemented?
3. Stores aren't open this late. Hooks won't be easy. Javelins, bone blades, etc... no issues. Netting can be gotten nearer to the gladiatorial arena. Might not be as big as you're expecting - it's more the size for personal combat. You could have larger netting made - but it'd take a day or two.
4. ESP will only reveal that the silt dockmaster feels somewhat defeated; sullen for getting dragged into all this... perhaps a bit of anger/irritation towards his cousins.

To simplify
3a. Looking mainly for netting mesh that can catch small to medium sized fish (trout to grouper sized) 6' x 6'
3b. 2-3 "Zerka's" (barbed spear w/rope made for hunting detailed in the thri-kreen book)
Will shop in the morning when businesses open

Mak's jaw is agape as he listens to the tale of kidnapping and assaulting a Balican Patrician who was not involved in the Rokos incident. "You guys like to run fast and loose. Maybe my ways aren't yours, but I'd appreciate more discretion and less... limb torsion of former allies."
Looking to Coden, "Are we done by informing your kin of the identity of the murderer or are we handling the justice before we depart?"
Hearing about Hurks shopping list, Mak says "If you can find a few staves of agafari wood, I can enspell them into several large hooks of considerable strength. I assume you're fishing for something... large?"

I'm guessing they have similar feathery breathing organs to the silt horror. We never know if we'll need to explore down there and I want to be prepared for an underwater expedition... [He thinks a moment] "As far as LARGE baiting, if this "protector of the cistern" decides I'm it's next meal, I want to be prepared to fight back and preferably give it enough trouble that it feels I'm not worth it. Then again... if it's an evil-sum-bitch, I'm gonna rip it to shreds and have a barbequed feast for us and my giant cousins!" He says grinning. |

Regarding #1 & 2
Jesse's internet is out but asked that we convey to you:
-Basic gist is Coden wants to know why Aloysius did this -Was he ordered to? Did he perversely think this would help Coden take over the family business? How high does it go? -Obviously he can’t permit this sort of thing to continue, so we likely will need to eliminate Aloysius -But he doesn’t want to kill his childhood friend if there’s a chance that the old mul was wrong, or Aloysius was forced to do this somehow -The tactics of how we get him I feel I can leave in the party’s hands -Once the matter is resolved, Coden will stay to help the family, and I’ll switch to my sun cleric

(Sorry, my internet went out again yesterday, and then today was completely spoken for.)
(HurK's summary is accurate. I get the idea that folx want to get back to adventuring in the wastes and killin' monsters and stuff, so I'm eager to move this along and swap characters so that Coden can handle family business in the background for a while as the Gambit and crew get back to adventurin'.)
