Mak cuts off his heat metal as the detection is cast. He explains to Hurk that he's going to wait a little while before using a nap... they might need him if there's any other threats. Kri-kcht is healed successfully. Yes. There is magic detected upon the blade; it is not particularly strong... but it is made entirely of metal. Even down to the handle and pommel. Quite hard to hide in it's current state. It screams quality. darksunsouthtablelands.obsidianportal.com/items/odrela-of-bodach-s-gladiusAfter a few minutes, you hear horns sound from the ruins. A few heartbeats after? Drums. Khuv (your mental transport guru halfling friend) is stressing. "I can't open up a portal here. I don't know why she could 'port, I sure as the Grey can't!"

Laakh climbs down the mast for a quick War Council. "I am best a observation and traveling. Against them (thumbing at the drum sound) I cannot bring much unless crossbow and blades are gonna help. Khuv's dagger is the only magic I can operate. Can teleport self and another if close by. Phase self or objects. Will start with 360 degree vision and alerts for observation and danger."
(Insert strapping weapons up montage.)

"remember our artifacts."
...and he rummages for the Jozhal skull, consults it for advice:
"Bodach armies marching on us NOW. We have their leader's enchanted blade, maybe barter it for our safety. We heed your wise words, old one."

Naked HurK ever so slowly climbs on board with loud groans to listen to the war council and see what mental response Shardavan gives.
He walks to his pack tied to the main mast and unsheathes his massive mekillot bone scimitar, don's his flipflops and pops two psi cheese wheels in his mouth.
He then points out all his weapons stowed on the outside which are easily accessible for anyone who needs them. -Magic Datchi club -great sword (bone scimitar) -2 Zerka harpoon's -6 chatchka's
He'll grab his feathered talisman and carefully holds it in his left hand. <Dormus, prepare yourself. I will need all your energies soon...>

Kleys is down to 2 spell-slots and his bow. If we can leave, perhaps we should.
(OoC: Is the ship a wheeled slit ship? Can't those travel across hard ground as well - slowly?)
Kleys: 21/21 hp; Spells remaining: 1st - 1/day, 2nd - 1/day, 3rd - 0/day.

No wheels. The Tyrian Gambit was mistakenly referenced by a player as a silt skimmer. It is actually one of the few obsidian helm powered ships not under Andropinus' thumb. Because it's said to be cursed. Hard to believe though. You guys have had greeeeat luck lately.

Kripnar, the joz'hal spirit within the skull, simply replies, "Bodach? I'd stay away from there! Cursed I hear. Someone once said that after a great battle that it'd never been properly sacked! I bet some nice enchanted shiny's too lyin' about... yeah, definitely cursed they say."
Dormus merely yawns a "sure" and there's a tone of smacked lips, like awaking with cottonmouth.
Laahk feels as if he's being watched. [Your passive power.]

[Slight issue. I did miss the mindlink with Shardivan post. We'll go with him saying give him a few minutes, he'll get back to you shortly.]
Mindlink to Shardivan:
As is custom for important communications, Laakh verbalizes as his thoughts beam out so others can hear the suspicion and weariness in his tone:
<Repelled first wave of undead for now. SUCH A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE US WAIT HERE. Have your team look for all the blood we spilled.>
You repeat the question, now that the dwarf has a few moments.
<"It's still safer there than waiting for the other radicalized Order members to murder you in your sleep. Apparently there are more, larger rifts between members than there's been in the past. The death of Kalak and moves by the Dragon's People in Tyr have caused some rash decisions to be made. Add in the armies on the march?">
He mentally sighs.
<"And there's other events being planned to the west. But you say that Bodach is stirring? Drums and horns (Assumption that you've filled him slightly)? Oof. I would not be surprised if Lawmakers approach you. This is what you do. Fashion a flag out of white cloth. Set down any weapons. Tell them that you seek to kill Wyan of Bodach and you have erred in stirring their ire. If they ask how you know of Wyan, tell them you know he travels far to the north with a necromancer... and you hoped to learn more of his history and weaknesses... and that all you know is that he hailed from Bodach before slaying the fae in ages past. If they don't probe you too deeply, that should be enough to give you a chance at survival.">

"Pallia, do you have any healing magics that could close my neck wounds?" asks HurK during the war council while he get's dressed but leaves his gear pack tied to the mast. ------------------------ Mindlink to Shardivan: ...He mentally sighs. <"And there's other events being planned to the west. He sheaths his massive bone blade and begins fashioning a massive white flag from silt depth poles and one of the Gambit's large canvas sails not being used. "Mak, you've got the best grasp of flowery words, I suggest you do the talking for us." He asks of the halfling

Laakh's voice echoes the elder dwarf's instructions to the group oddly flat and without inflection or accent. He is acclimating to relaying information this way, just a relay.
<We confirm and will act on your advice. Many thanks. Who or what comes to our aid and when? if that is still a thing. Will update after parley or battle. Thanks, sir.>
Then to the group:
"We are watched. Mak, we will stand by you in parley."
Then he breaks off half wheel of Mind Cheese, scarfs it down, (+5 PSPs, up to 96). Offers cheese to anyone who wants.
(Insert weapons removal montage, laying them down on deck. )

Then to the group: "We are watched..." "I mean... when aren't we?" he helplessly shrugs "Weapons set down not sheathed, HurK. We follow this to the word, yah?" "Agreed. All my babies are tied off on my pack to the main mast."

Mak will walk over to Laahk and whisper in his ear.
"Since we're being scryed, let's speak quietly. Laahk, while you've got Shardivan, please ask the following:
Any details regarding Wyan of Bodach, especially if he's connected to Gallard (Nibenay).
Any details regarding the necromancer he travels with and their general location and goals.
How long we need to stay within the Bodach area.
Any information about the fall of Bodach and if it occurred before or after the fall of the southern kingdoms to the obsidian wave."
Walking around the ship, Mak takes in the view of flora and fauna.
"I guess it's best if we make at least a show of power..."
Mak speaks to the brambleweed over the course of a minute in an ancient indecipherable language. When he finishes the plants grow and twist upon themselves in a 140' square, leaving a 40' square in the center free of growth around the Gambit as well as a narrow path leading to the edge facing the city of Bodach. Like a brambleweed keep.
((Plant Growth, Lv.3))
"Hurk... I'll need that white flag. It's time to parlay with the undying lawkeepers of Bodach."
((Mak HP: 36/36, AC: 6 Spells left: 1st: 6/6 2nd: 3/5 3rd: 2/4 4th: 2/2))
